"I bought the base gat as my first aeg around 4-5 years ago. It’s gone through a lot, many friends dropping it and doing other damaging stuff with it. It shoots the exact same as when it came out of the box.

Pros:
* very durable and reliable
* very accurate for its size
* Good trigger response
* small and light

Cons:
* mag will feed 2 bbs pretty often (the bbs still shoot far, and have a spread to them, which can be useful up close) and the mag can come loose sometimes
* limited battery storage, and it’s stored in the front grip, but you can mod the gun to move the battery into the outer barrel

Overall: great gun, would recommend

"My gat came from a different vendor because they had good stock on drums.

On the 11.1 the gat is a howling wolf. I don't know of a weapon that would be better suited for attack work.

Very pleased. I like it just as much as any of my finest machines.

"This a review specifically for the GAT-X. For one, it's absolutely amazing. It's unique, fires pretty quickly, and is very accurate. I haven't tested it out at a airsoft field yet but I will soon. The trigger response is amazing especially with a upgraded battery (haven't used lipos yet). The barrel is threaded so no need for an adapter. My only Cons are that there aren't any mid cap mags available right now so you're stuck with the wind up high caps, and the grip for the battery storage can be a little difficult fitting it on the rail at first but I've gotten use to it. If you get this gun you won't regret it.

"Heavy duty gun, i reccomend turning the hopup all the way up. I use .20, did great. If you use full auto with highcaps you have to wind a lot ( or at least i did ) but aside from that i abaolutely love it.

Pros :
Sturdy and well made
Small size
Easily customizeable
Fire rate
Comes well packaged and ready to go

Cons:
Heavy for its size, but not bad im a small woman and its not too heavy.
You gotta wind a lot if you full auto the high caps.
10/10 would buy again

"Amazingly enough, this gun performs very well at my local outdoor field.

Pros:
Very good gun at any type of field
looks cool
good bb capacity
light enough to hold with one hand

cons
battery is a hassle to get in and out
eats up bbs quickly if full auto is used too frequently

"Holy Sh$@! This thing is incredible! Now I've only had it for about an hour but oh my god! I upgraded it to a 7.4 limo mini type right away because that was suggested and dang Daniel! This thing not only accurate (using .25 bbs) shoots hella fast! Distance is phenomenal for an smg (although still shouldnt replace your standard age rifle for outside play) I just... I'm so speechless man it made me wanna marry the gun! I've found no faults thus far, battery is a little tricky but I got the hang of it after about 5 mins. This thing shreds through your ammo like it's nothing so don't be too trigger happy like I was. I opted to wait a couple extra months to get the gangster gold edition because gotta have that swag when you on the field and dang I'm not disappointed! I know I'm rambling on but seriously if you're thinking about this then I highly recommend it. It would completely dominate the cqb field. Now on to pros and cons

Pros:
-shoots amazingly fast
-accurate for an smg
-great distance for an smg
-well balanced
-I love the look of it and the mags are sick as well
-comes with Two! mags which is pretty dope if I do say so myself (although I still opt for the mid cap)
-well built, not saying you Should drop it but it ain't cheap materials so you good

Cons:
-Some people would definitely find this too heavy (especially if you plan on one handing it like a sidearm) but if you've got the muscle and you're fine with it (like me) then it's really more of a pro
-gotta watch out before it enhales all of your ammo
-at least for mine, the mag is a little rickety when it's in the thing

That's all from me, idk the techy stuff or whatnot 10/10

"if you are looking for lipo for the GAT without the hand grip on I found this 2BOL-551896-P 7.4V 1000mAh 20C candy bar pack company name Battery Option Limited.

"Tec 9, armor, RUSH B!!!!

All jokes aside, this is a pretty good gun for the money. I was going for other GBB pistol to play indoor super CQB environment. But I remembered about this little guy and thought why not. The upper is made out of metal minus the bolt cover being plastic and feels really cheap. When put together, the cover will not slide back by it self being only held by a single spring attached to the front of the gun. The lower receiver is also made out of plastic but feels 20x better. The hop up is a little bit weird with .20 so I'd recommend .25 or heavier. When turning all the way down with .20, BBs are still curved up under 30 ft. To put the battery in, you will have to turn it up side down and play with the wire for a bit.

Pros:
-Heavy weight [might be a con for smaller guy]
-Good build quality [except the bolt cover]
-Good side arm or even primary for CQB games
-Reasonable price
-Comes with 2 high cap mags
-Game ready out of the box [x2 mags, battery, normal charger]

Cons:
-Very cheap bolt cover and I mean VERY CHEAP
-Battery is tricky to put in
-Weird hop up
-No trigger respond

"this gun works amazing! it shoots like a laser when properly sighted in with the hopup. the range is good for any cqb arena but wouldnt recommend it for outdoors. the only problem i had with it was the charging handle on the side broke off, but its not a problem, its still easy to access the hopup.

PROS:
VERY affordable
accurate
heavy enough to feel realistic
sturdy
good range
CONS:
charging handle cheap
battery is tricky to get in

"The gun is solidly built! Surprisingly heavy for an smg. Shoots far and hard although I prefer midcaps over high caps. (They sell midcaps here too)

Pros:
Well built hop up
Gold finish isn't paint that will chip off, pretty much the paint is like the metal itself.
Metal gears and pre-upgraded springs
Full auto
Accuracy is good in CQB
Comes with 2 mags and a good 8.4v ni-mh battery, not those cheap batteries.
Mags are metal

Cons:
Battery compartment is small
Grip is a little off to the real thing (tec 9)
Will only fit small type batteries

Overall a great CQB gun, super accurate and fires fast for 8.4v
Gun is good for airsoft collectors like myself!

If you want to see the gun shooting, go to youtube and search the channel name (aldredyap) for the shooting test for a better view and feel of the gun!

"THIS GUN IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are considering this gun bye it. It's pretty loud, but I don't mind it. It's the type of gun when you hold you just know it's not cheap. When I got this gun I was surprised by the range. It shoots incredibly far compare to an M4. The only problem I had was that the bbs would curve up even with the hop- up as low as it could go. I began to use .28 grams and it solved my problem

Pros:

Good weight

Long range

Comes with two mags

Cons:

Bb curves up

No manual ( but probably just a shipping error)

Battery is a little tricky to get in

"got this from the shop at the field i play at, and i LOVE. THIS. GUN!!

my favorite CQB weapon other than my shell ejecting shotgun that i just got, has great range for an SMG and good accuracy to boot. is nice and compact and maneuverable too.

theres only two things i dont like about it, and one is the foregrip/battery holder which is a little annoying to use when changing batteries, gotta stuff em in just right to get it on securely, and the hopup adjuster is a bit over sensitive.

but i easily got used to those after a while. the performance i get from this thing absolutely makes up for those small annoyances. play this in semi auto in a tight indoor cqb arena and youll know what im talking about!

"Ok, so being an Archer fan, the moment I saw these I bought two. When they arrived I was surprised. Not only are they great replicas, they are super fun to use. And yes, I duel wheald them! Just epic fun. Plus they came with two mags each!

They are surprisingly sturdy with good metal construction and thick polymer. However the first thing I did was take off those stupid looking battery box hand grips, and now the look the dogs! Rather than use the battery boxes or even attaching a PEQ to the bottom rail, I simply use long thin lipo's electrotaped to the side. It really doesn't detract from the look at all and feels much better to use.

These things are loud! Plus used single handed they actually have a bit of kick (even though they aren't blowback), which is just great fun on the field and makes them perfect close up AEGs.

The bolt on them does come all the way back and can hook into the two recesses which is great as it lets you dial in the hop without hassle, plus you get the fun of that "slam the cocking handle and it clatters forward" thing. Just great to mess with.

The mags clip in well and feel nice and solid in there, plus they feed well even if they do take hours to wind.

As this is a TAC 9 and I wanted the Archer look the lack of a thread was fine, I want these loud and short, so no silencer for me.

Being in the UK it took a bit of effort getting the orange barrel thingy off the front which was a pain, but I get that with most AEG's I get from that states.

All in all these are some of the most fun AEG's I've ever used, a great laugh and very well made. Just buy a long thin lipo and you're gonna be happy!

"Very surprised by this little beast...

-Shoots just as far and hard as a full sized AEG.
-GREAT for CQB
-Small and Compact

HOWEVER:

-The battery storage space could have been designed a little better... maybe inside the barrel chamber with the cooling vent holes...
-The High caps it comes with require a LOT of winding between shots (I personally hate hi cap mags)
-No threads
-No rails (unless you jerry-rig some picatinny rails through the vent holes along the outer barrel, something I've been thinking about doing)

Beside those cons, I still give the gun a 5 star for what it is. You should know what you are getting yourself into based on the description of this gun. It is FANTASTIC. I really just wish they would release the Mid Cap mags already, I know they are working on them, but I wish they were here now... (8/12/15)
