FPS: 280 Color: Black / Red About the MKII System:
The CAM870 Shotgun by APS has proven itself to be one of the most favored Airsoft shotguns on the market. Revered for its realist build and operation and variety of configurations, the APS CAM870 quickly became one of the most popular Airsoft gun on the market over the last few years. After listening to the feedback of Airsofters and industry professionals, APS went back to the drawing board to make the CAM870 even better.
The result is the CAM870 MKII. Identical in exterior design and build quality, the CAM870 MKII retains all of the hallmarks of the original CAM870 such as the pump action and shell ejecting action. APS however, has entirely redesigned the CAM870 gas system for the MKII system. Instead of using a complicated charging rig and having to charge each individual shotgun shell, the MKII gas system holds the gas in the bolt, requiring the user to only have to charge the bolt, reducing time spent loading and cost of shells.
Quite possibly the most realistic airsoft shotgun in the world, the APS M870 borrows from the APM50 Cartridge Ejecting Sniper RIfle and brings CQB to a whole other level.
Unlike conventional airsoft shotguns, the CAM870's power comes from the shells themselves rather than an internal gun reservoir or a spring. This allows the shotgun to be loaded with multiple shells as well as offer a realistic and smooth action with the distinctive racking sound we are all fond of followed by the ejection of a shell with each cycle.
The main feature that sets this shotgun apart from any other airsoft shotgun how the BB's are loaded into each individual shell. A plastic cup holds up to twelve 6mm BB's within the shell before it is capped with a paper top; because of how this system works, there is no longer a need for inner barrels so you may experiment with the amount of BB's to load or you may mix and match different weights of BB's and even mix in 8mm BB's for even more unique spreads. No other shotgun in airsoft will come even close to the amount of BB's fired in one pull of the trigger, nor will they come even close to giving you the spread pattern and coverage of the CAM870.

(Write a review) "Bad ass machine, great material quality and weight.
(The included shells are transparent white if anyone was curious) "I honestly think this is a great shotgun. The shell ejecting feature is what definitely got me hooked to it. The shells however are very expensive at 25 per 100$ which can be a deal breaker for most. But if you have a 3D printer already, you can make shells yourself to save the hassle of saving up and catching shells that drop everywhere.
I've already used this in a couple of scenario games and have done pretty well. Though I do think that to get the best range and spread, you would have to use .12g bb's AND to also pick up paper wads that come with the APS wad/shell 100 pack.
This gun is also pretty heavy, its a close resemblance to my Maverick 88 12 gauge ( subtract the stock and shorten the barrel ). The gun also comes very very lubed and can cause issues with wads and loads getting stuck in the barrel. I would advise to clear some of it out and use a thinner lube and this stuff is VERY thick.
Also to load the shotgun with co2, you will need something compatible with the 88g co2 adapter that comes with the shotgun. These can be pretty hard to find. But as an alternative, you could ditch it and purchase a co2 nozzle for a regular co2 tanks like the ones used for paintball guns. These work the same way. "I bought the gun so I could have a cqb weapon that I would use once or twice a year, what I ended up getting was a gun that I love. It comes with the gun, two shells, a CO2 adapter, wads and caps for the shells, and a shell catcher.
12 rounds per shot
Heavy (if you are looking for something like that)
Shells are a little pricey
Not that many shots
Lengthy reload time
Another thing I should mention is that the action is a little stiff right out the box but after using it for a while it gets better Read More Reviews Write a Review
