"I got this gun not too long ago and let me just say that this thing kicks ass. It did not come with a battery and charger for me so I went and bought a 7.4 LiPo battery and a charger for it. I used it the same day I got the battery and charger in an airsoft war/party I was hosting and let me just say that whenever they saw this gun, they screamed and ran. It hits super hard, has consistent 420fps shots (.20 bbs), really tight clusters when firing, ridiculous range, and agile because of it's bull-pup design. If you are planning on getting something that is worth you money, this is definitely the gun you want. It's not typical like an M4 platform or AK platform so they're not as common and this gun is just fucking awesome. Strips REALLY easy also. Just get this gun already. It's amazing.

"Overall a great airsoft AUG. the verticals grip has very little wobble at all and is to my relief very nice and sturdy though I've heard they wobble a lot but mine does not. All came perfect as expected and with a few internal upgrades such as a tight bore barrel I think this should be a very nice reliable rifle! It is pretty heavy but personally I like that as it adds realism, but if you're not very strong or are still young the. It may be a little too heavy. It's a great aug though and I'd highly recommend it!

I own 5 AUG and I like the APS AUG the most because it has quick spring change and reinforced internals! My Marui AUG is nice too but the FPS is a bit low.

"JG Steyr AUG is a fun and different gun. It shoulders nicely and feels comfortable. Very good attention to detail, with weight that is close to the original. The optic is nice, but needed some help. The windage was dead-on, but the elevation would not adjust down far enough without the knob being so loose that it would work it's way off very quickly and be lost. I fixed this with some rubber O-rings. Now it is right on elevation at about 45 feet and 135 feet. This, of course assumes that the shots are not "flyers" which does seem to happen frequently. Using .25's does settle it down a bit. Your mileage may vary. It chrono'd out at 373 fps with .20's out of the box. About 320 fps with .25's. Get the metal AUG Tulip flash hider available here on Evike. The plastic one on the gun was broken when it arrived. Not a big deal, because I had planned on getting the metal one anyway. This is why flash hiders need to be metal. ALWAYS. The good news is that the plastic one is grub screwed and glued on, not pinned on. Made it a bit easier to remove.

All in all, a very nice replica of the Steyr AUG for a great price. I will give it 5 stars because you get a good useable gun for a great price, however the real potential for this gun lies in what it can become with some work. With some upgrades it will go from pretty good to awesome. By the way, the King Arms 110rd mid caps work great with this gun. Carry on, and be careful out there.

"You don't need to replace the gearbox.
The only thing this needs to do 400 is a spring.
The compression due to stock piston head is weakish.. so you can replace that too.
Nothing else is "needed"

"i bought this gun off of evike i love the AUG style and ECHO 1 really does it justice.

pros:
long barrel length(one of echo1 ones longest) and it has the same overall length equal to a echo1 m4(my buddy has one)
good rate of fire and fps it can cut a pop can in half easy
comfortable to carry and use scope
accurate can hit a pie plate at almost 130 ft
hop-up system is quick and easy to change
easy and simple disassembly

cons:
comes with hi-cap a pro for some but you can hear bbs rattling when moving
had a problem with bb getting stuck in top of gear box (i removed the barrel with the mag in like an idiot)
could use i better battery
doesn't shoot real bullets

overall an excellent gun i love it just put a rg dot scope its awesome

Webmaster: We sell mid-cap magazines if you would like realism, so you will not hear BB's rattle. If you are having problems with the BB's getting stuck, you need to purchase silicone oil and lubricate your hop-up unit and it will feed very smoothly. The battery it comes with is just a "cheap test battery" If you want high performance I would recommend either an Intellect/Matrix battery for higher output and mAH.

"I've really looked into this gun it seems like a very great gun, I've watched a video of it hitting a target from 150ft away, and I plan on getting it and upgrading it, but I was wondering, what size the barrel is because I plan on buying a tight bore for it

Webmaster: "AUG" or 510mm is the inner barrel length.

"How do u install a spring upgrade in this gun?

Webmaster: Take the gearbox out of the gun. Open the gearbox. Replace the spring inside the gearbox with the spring you want to install. Sounds easy but its quite technical for first timers. We will post reviews shortly if you can't find them on youtube (Or just have an Evike.com technician do it for you.)

To make this gun do 400 fps you would need to open it up and replace the gearbox, im notgoing to BS you here so i can't tell you what to do from there. Send it in to Evike they will upgrade it for aroung 60 bucks
