Armee-Universal-Gewehr (Universal Army Rifle) or AUG is a futuristic assault rifle developed during the 1960s in Austria to replace the aging 7.62mm FAL automatic rifles in service at the time.
Often considered as the first successful bullpup rifle, the AUG was indeed well ahead of its time as far as concept and design; it was highly advanced when it first went into service in the late 1970s.
Its bullpup design which moves the core of the rifles action behind the trigger allows for the use of a full length rifle barrel in a weapon with the ergonomics of a sub-machine gun. Some other significant features include fully ambidextrous controls and reversible charging handle and shell ejection port allowing the rifle to be configured for both left and right handed shooters. The unique two stage trigger allows the user to fire in semi-auto and full-auto without needing to manipulate a selector switch; for semi-automatic fire, the operator will just pull the trigger half way and if fully-automatic fire was necessary, the operator needs to only pull the trigger all the way back.Chambered in the 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge for its ease of use and handling, the futuristic family of rifles in the AUG line can be quickly adapted to accommodate a wide variety of roles in the ever changing battlefield with just a quick swap of the barrel. The AUG is definitely a well-rounded combat weapon with a proven track record that can stand its own even with todays modern combat rifles.
Army Armament has combined their popular Hybrid gearbox with the ergonomics of the AUG to make an outstanding airsoft rifle. The quick change gearbox allows users to easily change the spring to alter the FPS of the rifle without the need to disassemble the gearbox. Additional features of the Army Armament AUG include a high strength, high density polymer receiver with generous rail space on both sides of the rifle allowing the operator to attach tactical accessories such as lights, lasers, and offset CQB sighting options.

" pros:
shoots fast
really well balanced
great for customization
cons:
heavy
you will need a decent red dot scope, grip, mag and battery
battery compartment is small
trigger can be weird at first need getting used to if you never wield an AUG
overall this is a great gun I would recommend it
" I got this gun not too long ago and let me just say that this thing kicks ass. It did not come with a battery and charger for me so I went and bought a 7.4 LiPo battery and a charger for it. I used it the same day I got the battery and charger in an airsoft war/party I was hosting and let me just say that whenever they saw this gun, they screamed and ran. It hits super hard, has consistent 420fps shots (.20 bbs), really tight clusters when firing, ridiculous range, and agile because of it's bull-pup design. If you are planning on getting something that is worth you money, this is definitely the gun you want. It's not typical like an M4 platform or AK platform so they're not as common and this gun is just fucking awesome. Strips REALLY easy also. Just get this gun already. It's amazing.
" Overall a great airsoft AUG. the verticals grip has very little wobble at all and is to my relief very nice and sturdy though I've heard they wobble a lot but mine does not. All came perfect as expected and with a few internal upgrades such as a tight bore barrel I think this should be a very nice reliable rifle! It is pretty heavy but personally I like that as it adds realism, but if you're not very strong or are still young the. It may be a little too heavy. It's a great aug though and I'd highly recommend it!
