"I think its a bit over priced, because if i add in another $20, i can get myself a riot shield. furthermore, it should come in 2, but i spent $120 to get two because it has good quality and looks nice on my m4. I probably will end up getting a riot shield and modify it by drilling an opening in the middle so i get the full protection i wanted while shooting at players.
"The LMG Shield is a great gift for the gunner who has everything.
+Incredibly stylish. Very good looking on the gun.
+Gives you +45 armor rating.
+Much lighter than I expected. Still adds some heft, but not as much as I was compensating for.
+Very maneuverable. Tilts and folds to practically all the angles you'll need.
-The actual pivot/joint that folds the shield up and down strips WAAAAAYY too easy. After moving up and down maybe ~10 or ~15 times, it is now difficult to fold owing to stripping/chips of the joint.
Overall, a good product, but the functional joint is too prone to chipping and making the product harder to use. A bit stupid, but it works.
"So I got this because I have one of the SAWs, as shown in the photos. HOWEVER, after mounting it, and opening/closing it maybe a dozen and a half times, the teeth on the locking mechanism are basically stripped, and now it won't stay open or closed.
The only reason it didn't get a 1-star rating is the rest of it seems to be fairly well build, and holds together fairly well. But that one deficit is sufficient to now render the thing completely unusable . . . shame too, I had high hopes for it.
