"Came in the normal Styrofoam box with cardboard cover. First thing I noticed is the weight, it is one heavy rifle. Packing slip said the box total weight was just over 13 lbs, and that's the gun and a separate speedloader! Came with a long drawstring bag to put the gun in for transport if you don't have any other way. Did not come with a cleaning rod, which is a little upsetting considering it has a 515mm long inner barrel. Of course looking it over, I noticed some scratches and various tooling marks, looking like it was not exactly brand new. The description had said that it was pre-upgraded, so I took it as it had actually been worked on...ok then. Starting to check it out testing the action, found some things that had some slight issues.
-noticed that the cocking handle was kind of loose; found that one of the three spring loaded ball bearings had a bent spring and a broken recess that it stayed in. Flipped the spring around, replaced the ball bearings, and reattached. Now it had a more positive throw.
-the gun would not always cock, and if it did, would release almost instantaneously. Removing the trigger box, found that a nut for the safety lever was causing the first sear to get pushed to the side when the trigger was pulled, causing it to get stuck in position. Removal of the nut fixed the problem.
-looking down the inner barrel with the cylinder removed, I could see a small piece of something sticking in around the bucking nub, figured it was a damaged piece of the bucking. Removed the assembly from the outer barrel, then separated the inner barrel from the hopup unit. (it is all grub screws, even holding the inner barrel into the hopup, but overall the whole thing was solid) Removing the bucking and looking down the inner barrel still showed something. It seems the barrel was not cut well or cleaned up prior to install, so a piece of METAL was sticking into the barrel and into the BBs. Probably going to see about a new inner barrel anyway.
-Scope mount base: it is a 21mm wide base, not 20mm and so might need a little wider mounting rings. Weak metal screws, put slightly too much hand tightening and the head of one of the screws came off. Not flush with the base either and could use just 1mm longer rear screws. I recommend some blue loctite and just going hand tight.
-some screws just look used and worn, almost stripped. Pretty sure the body screws for the action had been torx but are becoming rounded.
TLDR; nice hefty gun, shoots well once cleaned up, just a few issues and not sure if all or just mine.
