Tokyo Marui EX Conversion Adapter for 7.2V 500 mAh Micro Batteries

"This is a fairly rare adapter that I consider essential if you want to use the AEP models that take slightly larger batteries than their handgun sized counterparts. What this adapter does is convert normal small AEP batteries into the slightly bigger AEP batteries that are used in the "SMG" styled AEP guns. I personally use it in my JG MAC-10, JG VZ61 Scorpion, and Tokyo Marui Scorpion Mod-M.

The huge downside of these kinds of batteries is the unreliable charging methods; JG and CYMA chargers for these batteries are okay at best - with no indication lights for charging status - and Tokyo Marui's smart charger version is very rare to find in stock, and very overpriced for what it is. I often had issues getting stock AEP batteries to charge at all from each brand I tried.

So, on that note, Matrix makes these smaller AEP batteries in 7.4V LiPo form (bottom is the proprietary AEP connections, and the top is a short 3 pin LiPo cable for charging), allowing for better performance and mAh than the stock AEP batteries as well as the ability to charge them using standard LiPo chargers of your choice. And of course, they work flawlessly with this adapter piece in the AEP "SMG" styled guns, and I would consider them an essential purchase if you're interested in using AEPs in general going forward.

All said and done though, this whole proprietary battery and adapter situation with AEPs seems so unnecessarily complicated and expensive, especially considering the limitations of AEPs as a whole, compared to the ease of access and compatibility with the majority of their big brother AEGs. If you're considering getting any AEP or AEP SMG, I 100% insist on getting both the Matrix 7.4 LiPo AEP Battery, and this Tokyo Marui EX Conversion Adapter. Considering the niche nature and slim variety of these types of replicas, a few spares never hurt.

"I got this to use with a type battery of battery that has a 3 pin connector so I can use a smart charger for my ASG vz61 instead of the one that came with it. Fits perfectly and works great.

"Well I got this thinking it would let me use a different battery in my CYMA AEP. Sadly this is only for the TM UZI or MP7 line. This adapter let's you take a smaller 7.2 500maH battery (for a pistol shaped) AEP and use it in a TM MP7/UZI AEP. This being the case it doesn't fit in my CYMA pistol. However it is a excuse for me to try and get a TM UZI again... I guess...Usually I would try and make it work but this adpapter is way bigger then the AEP battery.

Will make me buy a UZI or MP7

Easy to remove backer plate and add wires if you need a adapter for the MP7/UZI

The review stars are good for the sake of the product what it is and does is fine I dont have a use for it and I didn't search hard enough before I bought it. I cant fault the product for that.
