(Write a review) "Man, I wish there wasn't a supply issue with Tienly and that Evike carried the 25k short motor (they only have the long).
These, along with Star Wei and Action Army, are the best motors around. Helical armatures, plastic ends (so no risk of shorts), and good cooling. These are drawing less amperage compared to other ones like ASG, SHS, ZCI, etc... The price point is frustrating, as higher speeds cost more, unlike Action Army. However, I never really go above 30k in my motors.
The TPAs on these are typically higher, so the speed ends up being slightly slower. I'll gladly take the 25k over the ASG 22k especially since the bodies on the ASGs seem to be off-spec and often cause issues if the fitment in the grip is already tight. When I go in to clean, I see the commutator/brushes remain a bit cleaner than other motors. "An other-worldly motor. Probably the overall best, but NOT the best in torque for the Tienly series. I've owned for maybe 3-4 months.
MAKE NOTE of something I found out only later: This is NOT an all-around stronger motor than the lower-numbered Tienly's!!! Like many of them it is also very high torque, but sacrifices some of that torque for its very high speed!!! There are other, lower #, slower Tienly's with MORE torque than this, the GT-45000. Because of this, but especially from experience, I would not recommend going higher than m150 (if even that high), as is written in the item description. That said, it's a very high performing and durable motor and probably the best single upgrade you can give your gun (assuming your piston teeth&gears can handle it).
I really put this motor to the test, installing it in a DSG (dual sector gear), at a 10:1 (really difficult) ratio, with an m160 spring and 14.8v, 100c battery, using 12 guage wires on a 50amp circuit breaker (& a burst wizard 3 mosfet). Basically, I ran every bit of current through this thing that it could draw, and blew through a lot of wimpy airsoft wiring & trigger contacts until I just went to home depot and built a wiring system probably more appropriate for a sports stadium. The DSG worked, but was shooting slower than I expected (about 50 rps, when with that combo it should be closer to 65), and the motor sparked aggressively and even overheated/stopped if I ran it for too long. I was over-taxing the motor, and when I took it apart I found that a massive, slaggy hole had blown through the commutator (the part that the motor brushes brush against). The motor still works, and would probably be fine in a more reasonable (and still very powerful) gun. But just be aware, it is not at the top of the torque pyramid, and can be damaged with an m160 and a merciless gear ratio. "Pros
Strong and fast
Needs maintenance and it wears down really fast
