ICS CXP-15 Keymod Sportline Airsoft AEG Rifle - Black

"Love this little rifle. ICS is my main brand and I love the usefulness of a split box gearbox. Top box upgrades are the most important to range and accuracy and on this and other ICS MTypes those are super easy to do. Shotgun the upper like you would a real AR10 or 15 and pull the upper gearbox and barrel unit right out.

Out of the box, at the muzzle, mine was shooting 295 to 300 ish with .25s and a nice lazy laser beam. I've since done full top box upgrades with laylax parts (piston piston head cylinder cylinder head) Maxx hopup and madbull blue and a systema M100 to keep the FPS cqb friendly. Tightbore wss tough as the length is uncommon (about 190 stock) but I found a 208 fit fine with no issues and sync it to the appropriate cylinder design. It is a VERY good gun and looks great with an AT1000 tracer on the end.

I love the spring decocker and yeah the body is plastic which I'm not fond of but I have a few other ICS plastic bodies and they are holding up fine.

Only complaint is battery. It's wired to the front and even a peq style battery won't fit so I resorted to a PEQ box and ran the wires through the handguard. Trying to rear wire it seemed fraught as there's always issues trying to switch the wires with a split box but I am not super into screwing with the electrical parts of an AEG just the pressure and mechanical ones.

Speaking as someone that owns most of the ICS lines and has over a 2 decades used them, this is a fine example of the type and ICS will always be one of my two go to brands (TM the other).
