" CAUTION: This is a great Quad Rail system. Unfortunately, the barrel nut supplied with this item is too large in diameter to secure a We Tech M4 outer barrel to a We Tech receiver. After barrel nut is installed, the outer barrel can just be pulled straight out. The flange on the outer barrel is a smaller diameter than this barrel nut. Other barrels will work but should have an adapter such as the Guns Modify (Model WA to WE) which has been out of stock for awhile. Other barrels do not mate with the We Tech receiver in such a way as to keep the barrel from rotating after installed unless you use a lot of tork which can cause some damage to the receiver and/or barrel. Another solution could be to use a custom washer around the receiver end of the barrel. The thinner, the better. I have not located a source for this but you could have a machine shop make a custom one. Not sure of the cost for that. I have used several of these Quad Rail units but not with We Tech outer barrels, and , of course, with the Guns Modify unit. RA Tech makes a similar adapter but it requires some adjustment to fit most other outer barrels. It is worth the effort just be aware there are complications. I have not found any other barrel nuts to fit both systems.
" This rail system is the best I have ever installed - took about 5 minutes. Used on real steel and can be used for airsoft - fits G&P perfectly. Very well made; lighweight with a great finish. This rail system also has a longer version.
