Armee-Universal-Gewehr (Universal Army Rifle) or AUG is a futuristic assault rifle developed during the 1960s in Austria to replace the aging 7.62mm FAL automatic rifles in service at the time.
Often considered as the first successful bullpup rifle, the AUG was indeed well ahead of its time as far as concept and design; it was highly advanced when it first went into service in the late 1970s.
Its bullpup design which moves the core of the rifles action behind the trigger allows for the use of a full length rifle barrel in a weapon with the ergonomics of a sub-machine gun. Some other significant features include fully ambidextrous controls and reversible charging handle and shell ejection port allowing the rifle to be configured for both left and right handed shooters. The unique two stage trigger allows the user to fire in semi-auto and full-auto without needing to manipulate a selector switch; for semi-automatic fire, the operator will just pull the trigger half way and if fully-automatic fire was necessary, the operator needs to only pull the trigger all the way back. Chambered in the 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge for its ease of use and handling, the futuristic family of rifles in the AUG line can be quickly adapted to accommodate a wide variety of roles in the ever changing battlefield with just a quick swap of the barrel. The AUG is definitely a well-rounded combat weapon with a proven track record that can stand its own even with todays modern combat rifles.
APS has combined their popular Hybrid gearbox with the ergonomics of the AUG to make an outstanding airsoft rifle. The quick change gearbox allows users to easily change the spring to alter the FPS of the rifle without the need to disassemble the gearbox. Additional features of the APS AUG include generous rail space on both sides of the rifle allowing the operator to attach tactical accessories such as lights, lasers, and offset CQB sighting options.

(Write a review) "the gun is a good, it holds and it is a sturdy piece. it is easy to clean and take apart.
Easy to clean
The mag does not wobble
It is easy to find and ajust the hopup
Most the weight is in the back so you don't have a hard time staying still aiming/shooting
Military scope is 1.5x zoom and if something happens to it you can play with the sight on the top of the scope
The grip needs to be tightened after multiple uses "I've had this gun since the summer of 2015, and I have to say that I have no complaints with it whatsoever. Out of the box it came with a small battery that was rather cheap, but worked just fine, a normal 330 hi- cap magazine for an AUG that has no issues, and an unjamming rod. The gun does have an integrated scope, which works somewhat well, but has a cheap zeroing mechanism that can be threaded very easily if you aren't careful with it (I speak from experience on that one). However, the scope image is very clear, and the reticle is of pretty good quality. The gun has a good weight to it, but is somewhat back heavy due to the bull pup design. The hop- up is very easily accessible (pull back and lock the charging handle, and a slot on the back opens to the hop- up mechanism so that you can adjust it), and the gearbox is metal, as well as a Ver 3 high quality one. The gun has a very nice selector switch trigger that gets rid of the need for three different settings on the gun. The barrel is also removable. You can remove it by pulling back and locking the charging handle, putting the vertical grip in the up position (you can adjust the position of the grip by first pulling down, and then moving it to the up or down position, where it will eventually clang back into place, and become immovable again), and moving a small knob out of the way to rotate, and then (carefully) pull out the inner barrel. This makes unclogging much easier, and can also be used to adjust hop- up, if needed. All in all, this is a great gun, so I'll just sum it up with quick pros and cons
- Great scope reticle and view
- easily adjustable hop- up
- Bull pup!
- Metal internal construction
- Has two metal swivel QD swing points, one of which is removable
- Sturdy charging handle and vertical grip that won't break unless you try to break them
- Very easy to use trigger function
- Totally inconvenient and unneccesary rails
- Cheap zeroing mechanism on scope
- only takes a specific battery size
All in all, I would say that this gun is definitely worth buying, and I give it a thought- over 10/ 10 stars (Note: the gun can clog quite frequently if low quality BBs are used. I use GameFace Biodegradable .20g 6mm BBs, and I have very few issues with clogging versus other brands of BBs) "Bought this as my first gun. Foregrip is very cheap and broke on me when i pulled it out of the box! Secondly the scope was hard to dial in, it can be done with allen keys i had to tighten mine down. But after I sorted that out it shoots accurately with the reticle. The gun shoots great when it actually wants to shoot. I bought the king arms mid cap mags and they do not feed very well at all. My gun chrono tested at 380fps .. Not bad at all. Gun is very easy to take apart. Gun generally feels cheap but not bad for a starter AUG. Read More Reviews Write a Review
