Since being introduced in 2020, the Field 2.0 has established itself as the best-selling blade in our Outdoor Series, and it™s become the go-to knife for adventure seekers around the globe.
When designing its latest variation, the Field 2.0 S (Survival), we wanted to make it even easier to carry out on the trail, while not losing any of its ability to tackle daily tasks. We™ve made it lighter by skeletonizing the body, removing the handles, and wrapping it with cross weave 550 paracord, which has gotten the overall weight down to approximately 4.0 ounces. This not only sheds weight on your overall carry, but also streamlines the blade, making it easier to stow on your gear. Additionally, the 550 paracord can be removed to serve in multiple survival applications.
Made from CPM 154 steel and featuring either our natural Classic Stone or Black Oxide finish, this knife™s edge features a 2.75 straight for fine work and a 1.75 radius to the tip for traditional blade work. The blade shape allows for much more steel mass behind the edge, which translates to a longer sharpening life and edge impact resistance. A perfect 90-degree spine, from the tip all the way to the thumb jimping, provides more surface area for hammering and rod sparking. These natural finishes are also ideal for dressing animals and fine cutting; unlike coated blades, which can sometimes add extra resistance. Every Field 2.0 S is made here in San Diego, CA and comes with a KYDEX® sheath.
The Field 2.0 S handle is wrapped with over 6.0™ of paracord and has approximately 7.5 of additional lanyard, providing you the option to add a bead and/or cut it to your desired length.

After continually encountering extremely expensive knives in the marketplace, with long production times always attached to them, Connor Toor decided to take matters into his own hands. He started by building a forge in his San Diego backyard and then began crafting blades with a hammer and anvil.At some point, during long evenings lit by the glow of our forge and many quiet midnight hours spent carving handles, we became obsessed with perfectly crafting a handle and strategically shaping a blade. That obsession still defines and fuels every step of our production process, today.Before it arrives in your hands, each knife begins as a large sheet of stainless or high carbon steel that we source from a mill in Illinois. We then use our CNC waterjet to cut each blade into its mission specific shape. From there, we use modern machining technology, and a series of CNC vertical mills for perfect repeatability in all of our dimensions and tolerances to ensure every single blade™s final profile is precise.
