"I bought this pistol primarily for my modern Russian kit that Im doing I wanted to go with something like this pistol because there's too many m1911s on the airsoft field nowadays compared to other pistols and other weapons so this is a good mix to bring to the table and I was trying to go with more of an old-school look so I went with the Tokarev tt-33 by KWA I had a buddy of mine get it as well a couple weeks before I got mine because I knew it was going to be a great gun once I saw it in a local Airsoft store
I have nothing bad to say about my KWA TT-33 that I bought it's a well-made pistol realistic feel and weight and overall Style and what I was looking for and a really good price of about a 100 USD. Remember when drawing this pistol from holster with gloves on it might be a little hard to get to the trigger or get your finger around the trigger but other than that it's not big deal a couple of things you should be aware of when purchasing this pistol and I don't know if anyone else has but mine did not come with a hop up adjustment key (not an issue) I'm you sure can just use a screwdriver to adjust the hop up last but not least is the slide catch latch is mesh to the actual gun and it's hard to unlatch if you're trying to unlock the slide foward with gloves on also use some lubricant or grease on the slide action to give it a more smoother action.
Overall 9/10 score if you're trying to do any sort of Russian kit modern or old school get this pistol don't compromise
"I bought this to complete my PLA loadout as a Type 54, and it delivers.
Pros: Almost all metal. This thing feels sturdy and has a heft.
I didn't really test out performance all that much, but the FPS seems OK and so does accuracy.
It looks very real and feels pretty good in the hand.
Cons: The blowback feels kind of underpowered, probably because the mag is so thin it can't really hold that much gas.
The metal used to make this feels like pot metal.
While it has heft, it's really too light to feel exactly like the real thing.
Mags are expensive as usual with GBBs.
It's a good gun though. Don't hesitate to buy it if you're thinking of getting a Tokarev.
"Just got it delivered to me. Great pistol!
- Very realistic looking airsoft replica;
- Sturdy, nice and heavy;
- All metal body and inner barrel and most of the parts including magazines;
- Excellently working blow-back and pistol does "kick" back in your hand realistically;
- Shoots strong 345fps out of the box;
- Made too nice and neat to resemble the real steel Tokarev. =)
- Easily can be disassembled for oiling and cleaning without use of any tools (just like the real steel Tokarev)
- Plastic outer barrel that wobbles =(
- Very strange and unrealistic "safety"(the original Toks had no safety lever, you could just leave the hammer "half-cocked"): by pushing the trigger down you disable the hammer and the trigger itself. Hopefully will not happen accidentally during an airsoft game.
- Comes very dry out of the box, it is highly recommended to disassemble the pistol and oil it thoroughly before the use
- Low magazine capacity (KWA claims 11 rounds but I managed to safely insert 10 without damaging the magazine), but this can not be considered a complete "con" since the real pistol had an 8 round mag, and after all this one is a replica made for Milsim.
Overall: a great addition to any airsofter's collection, an iconic Eastern Block pistol of high quality and realism. I'll give it a 5/5 since it is the best one of its rare kind on the market right now.
