A&K 3000rd Auto Winding & Sound Control C-Mag Magazine for G3 Series Airsoft AEG

"This is a pretty decent option for a G3 drum.

That's to put it simply. To go into detail, this mag has quite a few issues.
The biggest flaw being that it didn't even lock into my G3 properly. It would fit into the magwell, but as soon as I either moved the gun or even fired the drum would fall out from its own weight. Even without any bb's inside. I had to modify it to be wider so it would not simply fall out of my gun ( I have an LCT LC-3 by the way so it may not be designed for my model).
Another problem is that these mags are very annoying and slow to load. Like 20mins of putting bb's into the hatch, tilting the mag, shaking the bb's into the right drum, then holding the follower in place while you continue to load, tilt, and shake. It takes a lot of time and patience.
Otherwise it works as intended. I ran an 11.1v lipo and I was able to dump countless bb's onto the opposition without flaw. It was only when the drum ran low that it started to not feed reliably.

"sturdy on the outside, a joke of engineering on the inside. looks like someone sneezed spaghetti in there, and good luck getting that battery to work

"Probably the best option for a drum mag for the G3 Battle Rifle, doesn't mean it doesn't come without it's issues though.

pros:
- 3,000 rounds

- multiple feed controls: an included touch-button switch, sound control, and auto-wind, which all seem to work on the ones ive bought

- pretty good internal battery life

- never had any issues with it fitting into my JG-made G3, fits snug and doesnt come out on it's own

- looks pretty awesome on the gun

cons:
- it's side-heavy, the bb's all sit in the right half of the mag while all the internal controls and electronics sit in the left half, which can make the gun lean to the right, hard-to-notice when in battle i find, but when i'm at rest or marching with no adrenaline pumping i can feel the lean

- integral, non change-able battery, and a cheap dumb-charger appears to be the only charging option which takes awhile (charge em the day BEFORE game-day)

- the charger on my first drum mag broke after light tossing around in my gear bag, bought a second drum just so i'd get the charger for it, now i have two of these things which is actually good thanks to my next complaint:

- LOADING THESE MAGS IS A PAIN... the loading door is on the flat surface near the feed tube, where the mag rocks into the gun, (kinda like on a hi-cap for the G3) BUT you have to dump bb's in, turn the whole thing sideways, hold the spring-loaded flap down to let the bb's into the ammo chamber, and shake the bb's from the load-door area into the main ammo chamber, it's a slow process and best done the day before the game, and having two mags means you wont be without a loaded drum if you fill both and use up one

My biggest complaint:
the winder that puts the bb's up into the gun has too strong a spring pressure on both of my drum mags, if i hold the touch-switch and wind it up for too long, the gun barely feeds and shoots with practically no power, i have to carefully regulate how much i wind these mags to avoid jams and misfeeds. i have modified internals on my G3, so i dont know if everyone will get this problem or not, but it happens to me enough that i only use my drums if i'm gonna go full on LMG on some ppl

"This thing is insane and will enable you to spray bb's for ever and looks incredible and will turn any g3 into an lmg. There are a couple probloms however the first one being it takes like 20 minuets to load it on your own. the sound control only winds the mag if you are holding the trigger down for at least a couple seconds at a time so it does not work if you are just doing burst shots but that is what the pressure switch is for. The gate is hard to open you almost need to get a screwdriver and pry it open. These are all small probloms but they add up but if you bought a fulsome g3 hoping to make it a lmg you need this so my final rating for this is 6.5/10
