ARES Original British L1A1 SLR Full Metal Airsoft AEG Rifle

"This is a pretty good gun. The price is a bit of a downer, as well as the rarity of magazines (FAL mags DO NOT WORK in this gun, only L1A1 type mags). If you plan on taking it apart, the receiver screws strip VERY EASILY. The finish isn't very good on zinc parts, but is fine on steel parts. I replaced the front handguards with real ones, which felt a lot better then the standard plastic ones. I might replace the stock, but i doubt i would get it to fit.
Stock the whole front end wobbles slightly. But it is easily remedied with electric tape in key spots.

This is standard semi-auto only, but you can make it full-auto by doing either 2 things:
1. Buy a full auto selector. They are around under the Star L1A1 accessories.
2. Simply use the breaker-latch to break open the top and bottom receivers. They are still held in by screws and wont fall apart. Then simply rotate the fire selector to the full-auto position, then close the receiver. Its not that tedious, and is easier then it sounds.

Mags are impossible to find and expensive

You can do a lot better than this gun. I only bought it since it had more steel components since i'm a bit of a realism freak. I would recommend an FAL (Not L1A1) rifle, maybe by King Arms, but their gun quality has always been crap.
