The SV-98 is the currently issued sniper rifle used by the Russian Federation's ground forces and Spetsnaz units. Built out of a need for a new precision sniper rifle platform, the SV-98 is a militarized version of the Izhmash Record, a full bore target shooting rifle. With an adjustable cheek rest and shoulder pad, you can configure your rifle to your natural shooting position.

The SV-98M variant is a new version of the rifle initially developed in 2013. Featuring a new skeletonized aluminum stock to replace the traditional wood, it added a number of new features for ergonomics while reducing the overall bulk and weight of the rifle.
