"RIC FLAIR WOOOOOOOOO! That trigger though! I bought 2 on sale for 90 a piece for spares and they both do work! For the price, I was not disappointed!

"First a Correction:
Received mine with a rear wired small tamiya connector. This was a great win for me.

* I am so impressed with this AEG! Price aside, the performance of this M4 is on par with the Lancer Tactical Gen 2 Pro-Hybrid offerings.
* The Microswitch Trigger is the shining star internally.
Because of it being rear wired, taking the handguard and off and punching out the pins on the front sight assembly is a breeze. I was able to have a cost effective 14" M-LOK handguard which is a perfect length for this one piece outer barrel.
* I am very content with the polymer elements of this AEG. My first M4 was alloy and found myself wishing I had something lighter. I ended up with an ARP9 and found I lost serious range. Length of the inner barrel is 14", and effective range is not a problem. Swapped it out with a 6.01 steel inner and a maple leaf bucking with matching tensioner and I didn't find enough of a difference. So I went back with the lighter brass inner barrel and love the feel of this.

- The only con I could find is the regulation flash hider is affixed with strong glue and a solid pin. It takes cutting if you want to be able to remove it in order to remove the front sight assembly. So pick up a fresh orange tip.

"I went to airsoft field once, used rental, and then bought this for the next weekend. That is how Rookie I am. But I am stoked by this gun. I can’t think of any reason to upgrade. Shoots super good, durable, combo with some 40 mikes and hot damn! My son has a Krytac and I don’t think I would switch. This gun is just super fun.

"OMG was his package is AMAZING! First off the gun! It’s is very well built and has a very strong body and has a G2 gear box! It has a very vary durable polymer body and preforms amazingly! however putting the battery in can be a little tricky but that’s not a big deal . Second the accessories! The red/green dot sight is pretty nice. It’s very durable and looks slick! Then there the batteries with the charger these are amazing batteries and have great battery life! Then the mags. The mid cap (I got a BAMF mid cap) is very niche and feeds very well, no problems, them the high cap, the high cap is very durable it being full metal! However I have had a couple jams but that’s an easy fix! Overall this package is a steal. I got it on sale. If it’s not on sale STILL BUY IT! Of you are even considering this package don’t reconsider. It is with your money!

"Great weapon for me so far just as a fun gun to shoot in the back yard. Very accurate and feels all around well made. For $80 price range this would be a perfect fit for anyones first AEG.

"This gun is an amazing out of the box gun for beginners. I've shot stock raiders, stock elite forces, and stock valkens none of which were as snappy as this one shoots with upgraded internals so you don't have to go cracking open the gearbox and losing parts. I am blown away by the price to performance ratio and will be recommending this to others

"This M4 is the combat machine killer. The body is a sturdy nylon-reinforced polymer and I have never had problems with it through multiple skirmishes and backyard games. The internals are on-par for this price point and are more than acceptable. If things break, they are easy to modify. The pre-installed MOSFET works well, and the micro-switch significantly improves trigger response, making this replica feel like a much more expensive rifle. The M203 has minor problems with it's firing pin being too soft, but there are solutions to this and most grenades still work with it. The hop-up and barrel are poor, but most are at this price-point and a simple investment of 20-30 dollars per piece will instantly make this gun solid and it will compete with the best. Overall good purchase.

PROS:
Sturdy body with solid weight
Decent gearbox and internal components
Great trigger response
Easy to open and modify
Accurate for the price

Cons:
M203 is picky with grenades due to a soft firing pin
Hop-up is budget, and can have trouble with heavy weight bbs and can be damaged easily.
Sluggish RPS

"Best stock aeg I have ever purchased for $100 bucks.
This gun has a stock mosfet and micro trigger switch that comes with it and really makes all the difference. Every shot is crisp and consistent. There is absolutely no gear whine and just sounds so much nicer than any of my friends.

Some pros:
-mosfet (so you can use lipos)
-micro trigger (crisp responsive trigger)
-quick change spring (makes opening the box 100 times easier)
-under $150!!!
-metal outer barrel
-metal trigger, mag release, bolt catch
-the stock piston has metal teeth
-decent gears with an abs plastic delayer chip
-overall lightweight construction (plus for me)
-upper/lower reciever and pistol grip are a nice feeling durable plastic

Some cons:
-the buffer tube, stock, and hand guard are cheap crappy plastic, I replaced all those parts

If your looking for a new build platform, or just getting your first gun you will NOT regret buying this aeg

"I have purchased and used 3 of these Matrix guns and they work flawlessly after many trips out to the field. I use them primarily as loner guns, but honestly I would not be against using one as my primary. Sure it polymer, but it stands up with the use. I am not too impressed with how a gun looks, but rather how it performs. You can’t beat the performance for the price with all the quality parts that are in the gearbox and hop up. Loving that micro switch trigger and built in MOSFET! I am seeing other AEG’s have so many issues (Lancer Tactical, APS, and even G&G) with holding up over time. This will be my go to AEG from here on out!

"I'm an airsoft noob but was ready to join my son in playing the game. I purchased this Matrix M4 at the Evike pro shop in Spring, TX. I knew I wanted something better than "toy grade" but didn't want to go crazy. The staff at the store had nothing but great things to say about this gun. The stock spring did run hot at the indoor range so add $10 if you need to bring it down to 350 fps or below and another $50 to get you going with a battery and charger.
I purchased the FDE model and it looks legit. I did pay more at the store, BUT that's because they'd already done some custom work on it; metal barrel, integrated "suppressor", metal quad rail and collar.

PROS:
Solid Construction
GREAT value for the $$
Upgradable
Accurate out of the box
Looks super cool
Metal magazine (runs like a champ!)
Metal gearbox and G2 micro switch

CONS:
No sling points
For indoor play - ran nearly 400 fps out of box. So, had to spend another $10 for spring (but it was an easy swap!)
No battery/charger - add another $50 to price

"Expect great things i got this gun thinking it would be a nice little gun that if i broke it i would not really care boy was i wrong this gun had so many things that impressed me beyond belief one of my team members spent nearly $300 on a rife but this one only spending $110 (after the battery) kept up perfectly with his $300 dollar one occasionally out preforming his anything bad about this was easily fixed overall WAY IMPRESSED

Pros
light weight
fast rate of fire
durable
powerful

CONS
no battery included
no rails except for the one under the carrying handle

"MATRIX SPORTSLINE M4 AIRSOFT AEG RIFLE W/ G2 MICRO-SWITCH GEARBOX,
I recently purchased the Matrix M4 Sportsline AEG for $99.00 on sale. The model I got was the M4 COMMANDO version, which is the smallest model, (great as a backup to my Sniper rifle). When I got the package, it was in a nice Matrix box. Inside the gun was nicely secured. After checking for damage, I grabbed a charged 9.6v battery, 25g bb's, and fired it.
Pros:
Sturdy body
Nice RESPONSIVE micro-switch gearbox
Great ROF (for $99)
300 rd metal magazine
Good FPS
Pretty dang ACCURATE

Cons: Have NOT found any.
by Brandon C. on 06/06/2019
"I recently picked this up as a backup/loner AEG, but after giving it a test run out in the field I gotta say that it's a seriously well performing AEG right out the box. The stock hop-up and inner barrel with some minor dialing in had no issues and hopped bbs flat and very straight for a stock barrel. Now the real money in my opinion is in this AEG's micro-switch trigger which makes semi-auto on this baby super consistent with no accidental double or triple fire and has a functional trigger response for quick shooting. Now let's talk about the polymer receiver which EVEN has a plastic buffer tube and plastic buffer tube plate.. while not aesthetically pleasing in its finish, cuts down the weight and helps give it a good balance. Last, but not least I would recommend replacing the battery stock in the long run. The battery stock it comes with is functional, but of low quality and there are better budget friendly options out there.

In short,

PROS: Micro-Switch Trigger w/mosfet runs great with 25C burst from an 11.1v Lipo.

Good balance and Lightweight.

*My opinion* No EBB shenanigans, completely unnecessary feature in nearly all cases.

Good stock hop-up and inner barrel. No modifications needed out of the box.

CONS: In the long run, this gun is not going to be super upgradable aesthetically beyond popping in MOE hand
guards to add more accessory options. (Would not sink more money into this one)

Low quality stock, would replace but it is not an immediate issue.

No buffer tube sling point for using a 1-point sling, have to use a 2-point sling to carry it stock.\

Orange Flash Hider is secured with a metal pin on the bottom of barrel, not impossible but annoying to
remove. (Recommend caution in removing as metal pin is recessed into barrel which prevents orange tip
from rotating.)

"Great gun feels nice in the hand shoots well and even comes with a complementarity trash bag

Pros: accurate, roatary style hopup, nice hi cap mag, great red dot, long lasting batteries and nice gearbox

Cons: hopup is plastic, mid cap is hard to load doesn't feed well at all you have to push the mag forward for the bb to load, mid cap pops out all the time and the mid cap wobbles like crazy I can just wobble it out without even pressing the mag release button, the fake bullets look stupid ( I recieved the bamf mid cap so I don't know anything about the other mid cap but the hi cap magazine fits great)
