"Update on my SAI 2011 (Green Gas version):

Pros:
Everything. This gun is sick. I'm buying a second one. One to play with and one to put in the safe!
Really nice inlet for the green gas, the mag plate helps direct the can tips into the mag, and the fit tightly.

Cons:
Impossible to remove orange tip. It will mess up the gold finish on the outside of your barrel.

The bottom rail is TIGHT. If you want to add a pistol light or laser your gonna have to pound the thing on unless you can remove an entire side of the rail clamp on your light. Some accessories don't fit at all. I used a Steiner DBAL-PL, but they are 6 times the price of the gun. It is the only accessory I can get to fit, but it looks amazing with it.

The slop between the slide and frame.

"I got the green gas version.

Pros:

Looks amazing
Feels good
Shoots very smoothly
Nice bit of kick
Sweet box
Excellent front sight

Cons:
A little it of slop (play) between the frame and slide
NO directions
No bb loader, you have to load it one by one by hand

Overall this is a sweet gun. The best shooting and smoothest feeling of all the pistols I own.

"Got the CO2 version. It is loud and recoils HARD. What else? Looks great, accurate, no leaks from magazine, feels solid. So why only three stars?
The magazine has this heavy, machined billet aluminum extended butt plate. Looks awesome. The problem is that there is only this fragile plastic piece that holds this heavy aluminum block to the bottom of the magazine. On the very first shot, with this hard kicking gun combined with that really heavy butt plate, that little plastic piece broke off. Broke right off on the very first shot. So now the extended butt plate does not stay on the magazine. There is no longer that very tiny plastic piece to keep it in place. Normally I would not care, but the extended butt plate also doubles as a wrench to tighten the cover for the CO2 chamber. So, if I take this gun to the field, i have to keep this big, chunky, machined aluminum billet in my pocket so I can change the 12g CO2 capsule.

"bought mine about 4 months ago now. I use it as a secondary tor my rifle so it doesn't see a lot of use. Just like everyone says gun is pretty and feels great but isn't made to the best quality, like many others upgrades r annoying to fit and my mag catch broke in half

pros
- great weight
- great looks
- good accuracy
- 30 round mags
- rail for lights
- great sights
- awesome box

cons
- cant take many upgrades
- mag catch breaks easily
- bad slide fitment, mine had a lot of wiggle room

overall great show piece but unless u run aw custom parts only its not really worth it in my opinion.
I hope EMG starts using other companies for their guns soon, because they nailed the looks but need better internals.

"Honestly, it's a really solid gun. The body is full metal, and it looks and feels great, but as we all know a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link.

This pistol's downfall is that the most important components are made out of cheap, fragile, plastic.

Immediately after putting in a full mag, the magazine release broke in half. The mag fell to the floor along-side the pieces of the mag release, and as if that wasn't bad enough, the clip retaining the magazine baseplate broke after the impact with the floor. The magazine now doesn't stay together, and it doesn't stay in the gun.

Still waiting to see if Evike will repair or replace it, but if the replacement components are still made out of the same cheap plastic, I'll probably return the entire weapon.

A nice, pretty gun to put on the wall, but it's far from reliable. Would not advise using it on the field, or even putting the magazine in.

"Ive had the EMG SAI 2011 for a few months now and its become one of my favorite airsoft handguns. The quality is excellent and the accuracy is pretty good too. The only complaint i have is it does not fit in the G-Code XST holster made for the 2011's. Im already heavily invested in the G-Code platform for both real steel and airsoft and it sucks to have to buy a completely different rig just for this one gun. But i guess making it fit the same holster as the other 2011's wouldnt make them as much money.

"I bought this about 3 months ago and fielded it a couple times.
Its honestly not that accurate past 25 ft. if you're clearing rooms because your rifle is too long or shoots too hot, then this is will suffice. However, if you want it to have more purpose than that, I suggest not purchasing this.

And this is using .25 and .28 gram bbs. soo.. yeah

Pros:
Pretty *.*
Enough gas for a full mag
Good weight

Cons:
Not too accurate
Scratches easily

"Overall not worth $850 for a steel frame , slide , and barrel . For $850 you should get a steel magazine catch, steel slide stop, steel hammer ,and upgraded springs

Pros.
Super heavy feels like a real gun
Good recoil

Cons
No internal steel parts
Paint on the barrel scratches very easy
Shoots sluggish compared to the $180 version

"I would give it a full 5 star if i didnt have to replace the inner barrel and the bucking.

Out of the box, i shot the gun for about a full mag and noticed that the bbs kept curving far left no matter how i set the hop up. Cleaned up the inner barrel and the whole gun and still got the same result. I noticed the paint/coating on the inner barrel was very inconsistant so i dunked the whole inner barrel in acetone to remove the paint/coating and tested it out. The gun fired significantly on point and i would guess that's how it was supposed to be fired. I was definitely impressed, but that fact that i had to dip the thing in acetone is terrible. I just bought a new inner barrel and bucking and that increased the performance of the gun. Hopefully im the only one with the problem. And everyone that gets this gets a gun that's of Salient quality.

"After waiting about a week, my very own SAI 2011 arrived to my door. Unboxed it right away and start using it to get the feel of how it shot. Now 2 hours later, I’m shooting it again and the mag drop button snapped in half, INSIDE OF THE GUN. So thats leading me to believe that the quality of material used for the button is kinda cheap. Other than that, this gun is powerful, kicks back very nicely and has pretty decent range. Gave the gun 2 stars because it’s now un-usable which really sucks..

"I like this pistol alot but there is one problem with this gun it is made from aluminum. I purchased two of these pistols and both of them broke at the mag release. All of the mag release replacements are out of stock so I have a feeling that they have had alot of problems with them. Both of the ones that I purchased were C02. I have a feeling that for the C02 pistols they need to have a steel mag release or design the one that is in it differently. I would only recommend this with green gas at this time until they fix the mag release.

"Update to my update of my first review, the mag release broke…AGAIN!!!

"Got the 5.1 Co2 version in Sept. And paid for fast shipping since I was excited. The shipping was on time and I received the package with no damage to any of the packaging or product. When test firing it for the first time all was well and it shot;however, when taking the mag out there was resistance. Carefully wiggling the mag out trying to be gentle with my brand new gun out came the mag along with the perfectly split in half mag release. I sent it back to evike and they shipped me a brand new one. Same situation as first, everything good, I even looked up the magwell to make sure the mag release was good, intact, and had no physical issues with it, shot it and same thing happened as first. I returned it for a refund since the same thing happened 2x in a row. I believe this happened because of the co2 being to powerful for the integrity of the mag release.(kick was really strong & hard) Also the paint is very easy to scratch. Good shipping, Good evike customer service, Bad product. Im now looking into the asg cz po9 or the Novritsch SSP-1
