"Picked one of these up and have been putting it through it's paces.

BLUF: I'd buy it again.

The trigger mechanism is very reliable, and easy to reset; however be careful when replacing it onto the body. I broke the lip that holds the o-rings in place because it was misaligned. After some repair work with some epoxy she was up and running again. I would have liked to at least see this part made of aluminum for durability.

The next part to mention is the base plate, mine came without the notch molded into it so I had to make one (not really a big deal but worth mentioning) and after continued use the gasket on the base began to tear away, again a little superglue fixed that.

The main body is pretty solid. It only has the one moving part in it, the shuttle. The fill valve on it has a tendency to not fully seat after use. I dont know what causes this but it is very annoying, after filling it up i found that i have to some times hit it with the fill nosel again to get it to seal up. Other times it just continues to leak. Even with the repair kit installed it continued to have this issue.

My last thing of note is the weight. It is rediculusly light making tossing it accuatly difficult without a lot of practice. If they would have made an aluminum insert in the middle tube it would add weight to it and help alleviate some of the leaking issues that can happen.

Pros:
Reusable grenade
Inexpensive
Easy to arm

Cons
Slow leak can some times occurs
Weight

All in all it does what it is ment to do, and as many times as I've used it it had paid for its self (compared to using pea grenades, $8 a pop). I would like to see some minor improvements but I would buy it again, and probably will just to have a second one on my kit

"keeping in mind that these are the budget version of a tornado i was expecting it to work like an m16 in nam, however they werent quite that bad. though there was the occasional inconsinstancy such as a lack of spinning when hitting the ground, instead there was a stream of bbs in one spot. this was not every time. I rate this product a 9/10 for the price and reliability as well as the AOE (for cqc).

"Pros:
Not ear shatteringly loud, but you still know if it goes off near you.
Impact trigger
Reusable
Green gas powered.

Cons:
Impact trigger doesn't always go off the way you expect.
Only works on hard flat surfaces. Don't even consider using this in the grass, ever.
Poor seal in the gas port.

I got this grenade a couple months ago, and I enjoy using it a lot. It has a few definite issues, but is fun. While it is not ear shattering like a Thunder B, you still know if it goes off near you. A lot of people say the pins and spoons are easy to lose, and this is true. However, I just tied a string to them and then put them in a pocket after use. I use the string so I can let them just hang for a minute if I am in a tight spot. Between those two things, I haven't lost either one yet.
Reloading takes a little time, but its worth it for the reuseability. Between each use, the instructions say to oil the gas cylinder, arm the trigger, fill the gas, load the BBs, and reassemble the grenade. If you are fast, this can take between 30 and 45 seconds. If you are like me, it takes between a 60 and 90 seconds. This is more difficult if you have shaky hands after an exhausting game, but isn't bad at all.
The only thing I really dislike about the grenade is the green gas port on the bottom. I don't know if I just got a bad seal in mine, but whenever I fill it, it leaks everywhere. This is an issue with how the gas can actually seals to the port, NOT a leak in the gas cylinder. So once it is filled, it stays full. Its just filling it is kind of a pain.

The real issue with this grenade is it limited functionality. It only works in specific situations and specific locations. You need to understand how the grenade works to see what the problems are. The impact trigger is armed by pushing a pin up to compress a spring, then locking the pin in place by tilting it to one side. If something moves the pin, the spring slams it down into the gas cylinder. The gas is then released into a single long tube that runs back and forth through the inside of the grenade (which you fill with BBs), and out a hole in the side. This causes the gas to propel the BBs out while violently spinning the grenade.
There are two problems with this setup. If the wrong side of the grenade hits a wall, it won't go off. I tend to put a spin on it when I throw it, so if it doesn't go off when it hits the wall, it goes off when it hits the floor. I have only used the grenade in a game a few times, but so far it has always gone off. The other issue is that it must be on a hard flat surface to really work. This will not work in grass at all. Especially if the grass cushions the impact and keeps the grenade from going off. If it does go off, the grass will block the BBs and slow the spin down a lot. This means the grenade is only really useful in developed areas like buildings and towns.

If it wasn't for the bad seal in the gas port, this would have gotten 5 stars. Other than that, it is exactly what I expected.

"Honestly this cyclone gernade is amazing! However at first even with the video it can be pretty frustrating loading it. This is because loading the bottom plate requires a specific placement, yet alone you must spin it counterclockwise in order to lock it. Anyways this gernade really get the job done i threw one in a room and boom! I gor the whole team out! However the most frustrating thing about this is that where the green gas valve is there us an o-ring that YOU MUST NEVER LOSE! I think it fell out when i tossed it to a room. Thos o ring is the only thing that keeps the gas from coming out. Sadly i lost it. Even worse this website or airsoft innovations has these parts in stock. Fortunately, and at the same time i got this gernade early here at evike. That is all and remwmber to lube it after every use .

"These are a amazing concept only mediocre execution. I bought the skirmish pack and while I've only used them a handful (maybe 5 each) times they have given me big technical difficulties. They're messy for starts, to load propane it sprays out and is very smelly and you have to apply lube (unless you buy a kit to put silicone oil in the gas) which can get annoying.

But after all the maintenance these things work like a bomb. There are no people who can say they weren't hit or weird rule arguments since your hit or not hit (unlike thunder B's) also you can pick them up and use it again. Just refill next round. These also have a very respectable range.

I have had times they didn't go off or release when opening the bottom cap (used a repair kit which took care of that)

Good:
Reusable
Fairly easy to set up

Bad:
Messy
Can be unreliable

"Pros.
Small
Throws (some) bbs
Durable
Affordable

Cons.
Can't throw it to hard or exploded when thrown
Sucks in grass over 3 inches won't spin and most people you throw it at don't even know it went off
Quiet
You have to tie a string to pin and spoon so you don't lose then
One of mine leaked after 2 uses

"I recently bought three of these grenades and none of them work properly. They only spit out about 1/4 of the supply of bbs that are held in the reservoir. Also one of my grenade oils were busted inside the package which partially got one of the grenades all slippery. But on the bright side the firing pin worked perfectly, it was easy to set and was always reliable. But in the end I wouldn't recommend this to anybody.

"Had one that wouldn't fire correctly the bb's would hardly come out. Got another one thanks to the innovations company. This one actually worked but sadly I saw a few clear flaws with this grenade. The way the bb's are held inside losely means you're more likely to get bb's jammed which results in less bb flying out. The actual mechanics or design of the impact is genius and is the best part of this grenade. I would say if the company had transfer this design over to the Tornado it would be perfect. But sadly the two grenade now just sit in a corner. I would say wait for something better.

"TREAD lightly ladies n gents...this ones tricky

I'm a fair judge on every product I use throughout my loadout/airsoft career (15 years).

In theory - yes its more economic in price however it is very noticeable on many levels. Its incredible lightweight almost to the point where it makes it difficult to throw, somewhat counter intuitive.

Pros-
-Affordable price point
-Aesthetically pleasing
-Cool packaging, neat little patches for launch version etc...

Cons-
-Cheap feel and difficult initial setup
- Difficult bottom cap snap/attaching mechanism
- Two separate pieces aside from main body will detach, creating several pieces to then "worry" about...without these the device will not work.
-Overall quiet operation and can sometimes go unnoticed in loud environments.

Overall - Im not too happy with this guy, as I feel ThunderBB's, though unreliable - give you a better BANG for your buck.
- Overall fairly tedious and sensitive little device to initiate propellant. Honestly, I feel Airsoft Innovations missed the mark

"You definitely get what you pay for with these; they're unreliable as hell. They rarely go off on impact with softer outdoor surfaces and if they're overfilled with gas (very easy to do and no way to tell), they often wont go off at all regardless of what surface they hit thanks to the fairly weak plunger spring. Loading and resetting them is tedious and the type of cheap fill valve they have spews out liquid propane while filling.

After over a year of frustration trying to use the two I bought, im honestly sad nobody stole them during a game. At least then they wouldnt be taking up space in my airsoft junk drawer.
