"Excellent gun! Extremely high quality and craftsmanship. The only major problem is that the battery space is VERY small. Even if you do jam the battery in the gun, it will hit the slide and the slide won't be able to function properly. Buy 3 or 4 of the smallest batteries they sell.

"This is a great gun for advanced players. I just borrowed it from a friend and I've got to say in my opinion I like it better than a p*. (I'm not a advanced player. I'm more of a intermediate player)
Pros: great trigger response
When out of ammo u can't shoot unless u rack the thing on the side (don't know what it's called)
Light weight (for me)
Adjustable stock and foldable
Con:
Since I wasn't use to the trigger (light squeeze on trigger and it shoots) I accidentally shot a few teammates in respawn
None besides that

"This gun is great. I own lots of aeg's and this on is already one of my favorites. Worth the money don't believe me just shoot it. The trigger response is crazy! Only issues I have is battery space sucks. Buy a peq box. Last issue is nothing about the gun it's hard finding extra mags their sold out everywhere. Only have 1 mag. Asg needs to make bigger mags for this gun.

"Very well put together gun. I would highly recommend this as a first time buyer with some money in their pocket. You will not be disappointed.

PROS:
1. Mosfet makes the trigger response extremely quick.
2. Full polymer body is very rugged and makes no rattle at all.
3. Folding butt stock is very sturdy and locks down
4. Extremely easy to upgrade
5. Multiple rails for easy addition of rail gear

CONS:
1. Pricey
2. Selector switch is terribly designed. Sometimes need both sides to move the the selector switch to the correct designation.

I would say one of the best primary rifles I have ever had the ability to use and play with. Some awesome design features really help in the ability to make this gun great.

"My grandson's friend got early access for this gun and he let him test it out. Wonderful rifle/quality for the price. Probably the best ASG gun I've ever seen.

Pros-Very High Quality
-Amazing ROF
-For the size of the gun the rail space is nice
Cons-A bit pricey
-Irons sights/magazines are hard to find. (They're pricey too)

Over all I would recommend this gun to anyone who has the funds and is looking for
something different and unique.

"It is a amazing gun with about 200 ft range with .3's, mine just jams every 3-4 mags

"Much has been said about this weapon, and I don’t have much to add.
Just one thing……….

Micro switch trigger. Don’t like it. I know, I know, I’ve never heard of one going out, but I’ve been leery of microswitches after my arp9’s bonked. The good thing with that, v2 trigger units are plentiful, but no one makes a optical scorpion trigger unit. The only one I’ve heard of is Jefftron, and even that’s a micro switch. That and you have to get his anti reversal latch to get precocking and all the goodies.

That being said, there is really no need to upgrade this thing. Even r hopping prolly wouldn’t do much for it. I use .32s and they’re good. My 416a5 prolly reaches farther, but but it’s bulkier and stuff.
Unless you get a drum mag, you’re going to look like an idiot with the hi caps, that or put yourself at a serious firepower disadvantage by using the mid caps.
Great gun, just wish there was some sort of practical trigger replacement. It ain’t an m4.
by Logan C. on 04/27/2021
"This gun is in my opinion the best aeg for the price, however the first time I adjusted the hop up o heard a snap and my dial had fallen out so now it is finicky and the dial falls out but other than that the gun is great
by Bob T. on 05/03/2019
"Great gun for short to mid range. Easy to equip with a tacticool suppressor, and super easy to all around make custom. Recommend mid caps, still carry 100-200, hi caps look ugly attatched to this gun an they are also super bulky.

"I'm a bit torn, as I want to 5 star this gun, but I also want to be honest.

Let's talk about the good first. I own a real steel (er, polymer) CZ Skorpion EVO in 9mm, so I am able to directly compare the two weapons. The external of the airsoft EVO 3 is very impressive. It's clear the same molding for the real weapon was used on the airsoft version. I must admit the airsoft EVO's polymer seems to have just a bit less of a smooth shine on it than that of my real steel (RS) Evo, however this could be attributed to the fact that my airsoft EVO is black, while my real EVO is Flat Dark Earth. The weight of the two is quite similar, with of course the slight nod to the real steel due to the metal components.

The airsoft EVO 3 is configured in a way that would be illegal for a real steel EVO without applying for a NFA (National Firearm Act) tax stamp, which I have done with my real steel EVO. The folding stock, length of pull, and general handling of this weapon system is PHENOMENAL, and the airsoft version is a perfect training analogue for the real steel. A perfect combination! Overall I would say the EVO 3 couldn't be closer to it's real steel cousin without actually firing 9mm!

Talking about performance... Incredible... The EVO 3 has a crisp and powerful "TWACK" each and every shot, letting you know there is business backing up that pretty face. FPS out of the box was right at 390ish with .20s. No problem with that quick change spring feature. Accuracy? Mind blowingly good! I have no complaints on performance so far.

With all the above said, why only four stars? Frankly, in spite of all the good things I've mentioned, there are a couple issues that hold the gun back from Czech perfection.

Firstly, the space for a battery is just BAD. You will not fit anything but the most compact batteries in this gun, or be forced to slap a PEQ box on the rail. I just can't help feeling there could have been a way to pull it off, but if there wasn't include a PEQ box battery. It is a surefire headache for the average buyer unless they were prepared in advance with just the right battery or a PEQ box. Along with all this, the battery access, while very secure, it's a bit of a PITA to get to, so don't plan on a quick battery swap.

Second, the safety/selector switch just feels... yucky... Not nearly as positive or crisp as my RS Evo. It is useable, but I've already had to take extra care to make sure I have the setting I want. I've been told this is due to the ambi feature of the switch, but frankly I would have been OK with only having one side if it improved the switch. It's pretty bad.

My third issue is circumstantial, and your mileage my vary. My EVO arrived with some damage. The orange tip had been crushed completely off the gun (a blessing in a way, I don't have to worry with it!) and the threaded retaining block for the hand guard (which must be removed to take off the fore grip and access the battery) was all nicked and scratched up, almost like someone went at it with a knuckle breaker adjustable wrench! The good news is that is the only damage, and the box was not damaged, so my hope is the rough handling of the gun was limited enough not to damage it in a way that will shorten it's service life... time will tell... I was able to correct the damage to the retaining block with a gun bluing pen so it is at least not noticeable, but since I am picky about the look of my weapons I was urked by this. The unboxing is such a big moment when you've been waiting for a gun like this, so that put a damper on it!

In summary:

Pros-
Very good clone of the actual CZ Evo
Solid construction
Excellent handling and ergonomics
Outstanding out of the box performance and accuracy

Cons-
Battery compartment is a sh*t show
Selector switch feels gummy and not very positive (perhaps this is correctable/local to my gun?)
My EVO arrived looking like someone beat the crap out of the muzzle...

4/5 Stars. I love CZ, and ASG has impressed me. Worth a buy!

"It has finally come time for me to write a review on this beast of a gun. The scorpion evo 3 from ASG is an amazing high end gun. I myself have owned two and worked on three. The trigger response is beyond compare to any stock gun I know of on the market. the body is incredibly stable and sleek as it is made of the same glass reinforced polymer the real CZ Evo uses. no gun on the market can rival this in performance or external build, but there are certain things I feel that after my time of using and working on this gun, the buyer should know about. most of the issues are minor, but there is one or two things that are major flaws that the consumer should be wary of.

MINOR ISSUES:
-The select fire on the gun is rather loose and may require fingers on both sides of the gun to turn it smoothly. (there is a small allen key in the switch to tighten it but I find it no help)

-Battery space is limited, 2 cell or 3 cell lipo batteries are a requirement to field this weapon. installing and removing the battery is a pain at first but becomes a breeze over time.

-There are some small parts that are easily lost, some of which are hard to buy once again. the sling point and the charging handle spring are the two largest culprits of this issue.

-I have found that the body plastic is of great quality, but it dirties easily and is kinda hard to clean.

-Magazines jam on the occasion and will need one or two "lube sessions" to make them work well for a long time.

-The stock on some models is wobbly for some reason but its not enough for it to be major at all.

MAJOR ISSUES:

-Some guns will rarely come wrongly assembled in the hop up unit. My current Evo had a major hop up issue that came right from Evike (was not there fault). I've only seen this issue once but is rather problematic if it happens.

-Evike warranty issues and repair become a very large problem with me and this gun. The gun when bought has both an Evike warranty and the ASG warranty. However, if you play at a CQB field as I do with a 350fps limit. you will have to downgrade the spring. But in doing this you IMMEDIATELY void both warranties. altering or changing the spring using the highly advertised quick change spring system "deletes your warranty". The reasoning behind this is beyond me, but all I know is that it creates an issue with repairing the gun if need be

-HORRIBLE GEAR SYSTEM. This gun is great, don't get me wrong. But the gears within are the worst I've ever seen and are easily beaten out by g and g combat machine gears (thats' saying a lot). On all three occasions I've worked on this gun (three different Evos) I've found that the gears are ALWAYS missing teeth. This can be a minor problem at first but will end in the same way. TOTAL SYSTEM FAILURE. The guns gears will fall apart as they are made with very cheap metal. They will need to be replaced at one point or another. Higher fps springs are more likely to break your gears. but not only are the gears horrible, the bearing are very cheap and not what you'd expect for this steep price. They are just rings of metal held into the gearbox and would be a part I would really recommend replacing. The last piece of this messy pie is that the shimming in this gearbox is non existent. There were maybe 4 shims in the last 3 Evos I've worked on and are more than likely to blame for the gear failures. This is also one of the things i believe should be upgraded in your gun when the opportunity is provided.

In conclusion, This gun is an incredible CQB death machine that will turn heads and blow minds in terms of performance. But this gun is not without its flaws that could be deal breakers for the consumer, but my verdict is that it is 100% worth it if you are the type of player who knows how to work on guns and is willing to repair and upgrade the internals of this rifle to keep it going and alive will be seriously rewarded in performance.

I hope you all find this review helpful in your decision whether to buy this rifle or not, I love my gun so very much but these are the issues I've encountered with it that I felt needed to be stated before anyone buys this gun.

Happy Airsofting!

"I've been holding off on writing a review for this gun for a while to run it though its paces and to find any little tweaks I could do to it to make it an even better gun. This gun is not a cheap one, but if you have the budget and you want to stand out from all of the m4s then this is a great option to look into. (Mag holders and batteries are a little hard to get to work but I'll get back to that later.)

For starters the overall feel and weight of the gun are great it is balanced over the large pistol grip; even without the stock on. The polymer it is made out of isn't your run of the mill ABS plastic it is a high quality glass fiber reinforced polymer; even the real deal is made of the same stuff. The flash hider is orange and plastic but can be removed and a metal black one can take its place. The rails are plentiful but sharper than some other rails i have felt. Everything on the gun is ambidextrous except the bolt catch. The trigger has a click where it fires so you can pull it a millimeter and it will fire. Battery space is decent. I can fit an 11.1 stick type lipo in there with a modification I did to the gun. (To do the mod all you have to do is get a pair of long nosed pliers and pinch in one of the sides of the piece of metal that covers the hopup.)

Internally it is flawless. Its like a microcomputer inside of it with all of the smart features it has. Range and accuracy are great right out of the box. I see no reason to get a longer inner barrel. I could nail a tennis ball for 140 feet away no problem.

The only problem, if you could call it one, is i saw a 100 fps increase on all spring s you put in there. I got a 300-310 fps spring and had its hitting 410 fps. Again not really a bad thing just keep that is mind. (With the QCSS I don't see this being a problem at all.)

The only real downside is the 18mm barrel instead of 14mm so you will need an adapter for most barrel extensions or flash hiders. Also with it being the only one of its kind there is a bit of trouble finding mag holders and some other accessories. The stuff ASG has for it only goes so far. Your best bet for a mag holder is a M4 TACO by HSGI cinched up really tight.

Over all this gun is phenomenal. I have been playing airsoft for about 6 years and was looking to up grade my gun and this one was nearly perfect for me.
