"I LOVE this rifle. It takes some minor modifications to get it into good shape, but it will only take you five to ten minutes at most. cleaning the barrel, and fixing the inner barrel in place by wrapping it in duct tape are all you need to increase accuracy. I wanted an M1/M2 Carbine, but didn't want to mess with the ugly battery powered version or the high FPS CO2 m1s. In my opinion, this is the most skirmishable M1 out there. I went up against a friend who had an S&T M3A1, and as long as I stayed in cover I was able to peg him pretty easily, as this M1/M2 is very accurate. One thing you shouldn't do is rapidly dry fire it. This means cocking the bolt with one hand and pulling the trigger with the other as fast as you can. I broke a part that locked back the plunger doing this. However this means I now have spare parts for my new one. Overall, an OUTSTANDING rifle that can be very skirmishable as long as you're careful around AEGs.

"This is in my opinion THE best airsoft buy available. It greatly exceeds it's low price point. As mentioned elsewhere shimming the barrel with a couple wraps of tape is great (and simple) idea to increase your accuracy. A thorough barrel cleaning is also worthwhile. The overall build quality, feel and looks are remarkably good at this price point. I am a huge history buff so a fan of all vintage looking (especially WW2) weapons. With that in mind my only complaint is it actually closer to a post WW2 M2 carbine with it's banana magazine instead of short box, it's bayonet lug and Korean War era rear sight.

I also would love to see a folding stock, paratrooper variant. All nitpicks as this remains my favorite Springer airsoft rifle. It shoots around 310 to 320 fps and with the barrel snugged up is quite accurate. 5 out of 5 with the low price factored in.

"This airsoft carbine is pretty cool. I use it in backyard battles which is just about the only thing besides target practice you should use it for,as it is a spring action. The quality of material is good , as I mostly bought it for my reenactment uniform because I am not spending 400 dollars on an m1 garand. But it is a good rifle. The carbine shot straighter than my friends spring rifles. So if you're wondering yes you should get this rifle as its a piece of history and just plain neat

"An inexpensive gun that shoots like a gun you would pay $40 for. But.....

For those of us who reenact or own Korean War era military vehicles, this gun would make an excellent prop or display gun. It is heavy, the fake wood stock looks great, even up close. The barrel and receiver are painted of course, but they look great too. With the addition of the oiler and sling, this gun will make an excellent display piece.

It does shoot, and not bad for that matter, but it is a bargain for people who need a M1A1 for looks rather than performance.

"Great gun and work as expected! Been looking for a replica M1A for a long time and this is it!!

"I bought this gun because I wanted a replica M1 Carbine to hang on my wall above my WWII display. The faux-wood is... mediocre at best, but with a little bit of sandpaper, primer, and shellac, you can actually get it to look pretty good.

This thing is actually a little bit of a parts bin gun. The safety, replica 30-rd magazine, and bayonet lug are all off an M2 carbine. However, the gun is clearly not a replica M2 because it doesn't have the select-fire switch. That being said, if you mount it on a wall so the ride side is facing you, it looks identical to an M2 carbine and as such I have labeled it that way in my display.

Can't really speak to performance or usability. It's a cheap AGM springer so you're not getting cream of the crop technology here, but I'm sure you could hold your own in a backyard battle with this. The drawback on the bolt is heavy and might be difficult for children.

Overall, this gun is perfect for what I needed it for and for $50... you really can't beat that.

"I'm happy to see this is back in stock. It's kind A blast from the past for me because I had one years ago, It was really nice little wall hanger for when I was collecting World War II and Korean War stuff. Like I said, it's Not good for much more than for looks. Duh, its a Springer you're not going to take it to milsim West, But it's a good plinker for your nephew.

Or heck, HPA it And make rentals and tryhards cry if you got that big PP energy homie. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

"Received my spring-powered carbine this morning. Purchased it because I wanted a cost-effective option for plinking targets in my backyard with no intentions of any airsoft combat. I collect mil-surp and WW2 items so this seemed like a good option for my needs. I've put about 200 rounds through it already so I feel relatively confident in this review

-Build Quality (3 of 5 overall, 4 of 5 for pricepoint)
The build quality is subject to its initial cost, so I wasn't expecting much. It does have an oversized faux barrel over the actual barrel so it looks correct in scale, and I've seen many reviews mentioning wrapping tape around the inner barrel to avoid any flexing/accuracy issues. I have performed no alterations to this rifle yet. The faux wood stock and other items have a noticeable connection seam and the right-hand side of the rifle has numerous Phillips head screws in the magazine, charging handle, receiver, trigger group and magazine release. I expected as much for the price point, again, but know this might bother some. The handguard on top of the barrel has a bit of flex to it and squeaks. The weight of the rifle is about 2 pounds lighter than an actual M1 carbine (5.2 lbs unloaded, 5.8 loaded), whereas this rifle weighs somewhere around 3.6 lbs. The cocking mechanism has some weight behind it and springs forward into battery pretty quickly if uncocked. The orange safety/awareness cap on the end of the barrel is relatively easy to remove with a flat head screwdriver and a couple of firm taps, though this is a retention pin on the underside of the barrel you might need to chip around first. It also comes with a speedloader and a cleaning rod. I have yet to use the cleaning rod, but the speedloader works pretty well, although mine is loose at the seam in one spot.

For the price, slightly nicer than anticipated, but still very noticeably an inexpensive rifle.

-Features (4 of 5)
It is exactly as advertised- a 'bolt action', spring powered airsoft rifle. The magazine holds a fair amount of ammunition. The charging handle does open the action, which I was surprised to see on an inexpensive rifle. I honestly expected much less (IE it didn't have a detachable magazine, it loaded from the side or some nonsense, etc). The 'hop up' does work, though at the ranges I have tested the rifle at (sub 30 yards), it was at its lowest setting and did not need any hop up at all. The rear side is adjustable laterally and does have range adjustment as well. The lateral adjustment is helpful, though the range adjustment doesn't lock in place very well so in heavier use could possibly shift. I had mine at the lowest setting and had no issues in my range tests, however.

-Accuracy (4 of 5 overall, 5 of 5 for pricepoint)
This is one category I would almost give a perfect score, which may seem odd for such a cheap rifle. As many other review mentioned, my first shots were not very accurate even at shorter ranges. I probably could have cleaned the barrel first, but didn't have any cloth to cut for the cleaning rod attachment. After the two magazines of the pre-packaged ammunition, however, the accuracy improved very quickly. I went through the factory ammunition and was getting close to a 3 inch group at 30 yards with no adjustments to the sights or hop up. I switched to my .25g ammunition and started adjusting the rear sights and found very quickly some consistent 1.5 inch and less groupings at 30 yards.

In short, no it is probably not the most accurate rifle on the planet, but for the pricepoint I think you'd be hard pressed to find something that can hit as consistently as this replica. Your mileage may vary, or maybe I just got a very well made one from the factory, but I was definitely impressed with the accuracy.

Would I buy it again? If this one ever breaks or something happens to it, yes. The only thing I hope to find is a short-magazine to make it more period specific to WW2 than the banana-shaped one it comes with.

"Good gun overall. Cool look and feel. Only complaint is it shoots high and to the left but it's a $49 gun so there's really not much room for complaining.
4/5 stars

"It may be a bolt action type, but this gun is really fun to use and I would go into a game with it. Its not about a gun that wins games its the player.
Pros:
Nice looking gun made from plastic ( Be careful, its not a weak gun, but it is plastic )
Shoots just fine ( does not turn left or right, only past 100 ft. ) Pretty accurate for what you pay for.
Low grade sniper type
A lot of fun to use
Magazine holds quite a bit of ammo
Quiet for silent eliminations
Indoor or outdoor gun

Cons:
Plastic ( not cheap plastic, but still plastic )
Turns left or right after 100 ft

Overall: This gun is really fun, I would use it in a fight, but it wont outperform AEG's or Gas Guns in a straight up fight, you gotta be clever with it and get your hits by being smart.

"For $48, not too shabby at all. Would recommend to anyone who just wants a cheap m1 carbine or beginners wanting to give airsoft a shot.

"Hi Guys,
mine arrived just fw days ago.
measured performance is 94m/s with 0,2g BBs.
Most of the body is plastic, only some minor parts is a zinc alloy.
original mags or the stock wont fit.
But its reasonably well looking and performing...
I ll see what upgrade possibilities are but I dont expect anything special...

"JG/CYMA M1 Carbine Springer. This is a really neat rifle. Overall very good build quality for the money and very realistic. The inner barrel does wobble around quite a bit inside the outer barrel. To help accuracy, I suggest shimming the inner barrel using homemade electric tape barrel spacer near the muzzle. This will keep the inner barrel steady. Rear metal sight offers plenty of adjustable. I also slightly modified the hop up lever to provide more hop. The rifle is a pain to disassemble at first, but not too bad once you know how to do it. All the internals are proprietary parts so no upgrades available, although I did install a VSR10 430mm barrel using a modified VSR10 bucking. I was actually impressed with the build quality and realism of this rifle for $40. If you're a fan of the m1 carbine, you'll absolutely love this airsoft version.
