"Overall, this gun is good and reliable. DON'T do the HK slap on it a ton it will wear out the spring faster and the little catch that holds the charging handle will wear down, that did happen to mine because I got carried away as anyone would. It chugs along at a nice fire rate, it doesn't fire as fast as say as an M4 if you need a comparison. (I've ran this gun for almost a year)

Pros: gun is relatively light
The battery is simple to access
you can HK slap (opening the chamber adjusts hop up)
in theory you could mount a G3 claw mount for optics

Cons: Adjusting the hop up doesn't really work, what it will do is fire bb's at a very weak FPS and continuously multi feed, BUT it could just be my gun and I haven't tried more hop up adjustment so it could just be a bad adjustment I guess idk.
Since the hop up is broke I've had todo a lot Kentucky windage and lead my shots more.
The semi auto isn't broken just kind of my opinion but on Semi the trigger pull is longer and the reset is longer to, so burst or semi on full auto feels better and its as clunky or mushy.

"Picked one of these up when they were still 120 which was an absolute steal for a workhorse of a rifle. Long barrel gives you DMR-like range and the thing rips with a li-po. Only issues I've had was a loose selector switch (held in by the world's tiniest screw), and the scarcity of good mid caps. I've been using King Arms midcaps and they're incredibly 50/50 when it comes to feeding. If you absolutely must have a g3 this is probably the most economical option out there; git yous one.

"I bought one of these a while ago and now that I've had time to shoot it, I believe it's time for a review. Straight out of the box it's a straight shooter with .20g BBS. Hop up is pretty easy to get to and tune (even with my big fingers.) The down side is the "flash suppressor" is cheap plastic and the first bump and it wasn't tight anymore, but it's not staying (I make better ones from aluminum.) Battery compartment is still a tight fit and the butt stock cap still tightly locks in place. With the NiHm battery it shoots good enough for starters but with the lipoly battery it shoots great (11v to come soon) and straight. .40g BBS are still to be tested through it but if it does how others say they shoot ,this gun will be a great gun for any skirmish. I'm an Army vet and can't wait to hide and shoot any opfor that gets in my sights. I would recommend this rifle.

"This isn’t the best gun by modern standards but it’s a workhorse.

Looks cool.

It’s long and lightweight.

Can send bbs at a long range with decent accuracy.

The abs plastic creeks a bit and feels less sturdy than injection molded plastic.

My only gripe is that mid caps aren’t cheap and easy to get

There isn’t anything special about this gun performance and build quality wise. It doesn’t need it. A awesome plug and play gun.

"First off, despite the name, I would NOT consider this gun a sniper rifle, it’s more like a battle rifle considering the FPS.

Anyways on with the rest of this review…
I bought this for a good friend of mine for his birthday, I did a bit of research on it and it looked pretty good for the price.

Pros:
- First thing I noticed is that the packaging is pretty damn nice

- The gun, despite having ABS plastic externals looked NICE, nothing breathtaking or “put up on your wall” nice, but nice.

- Lightweight, perfect for someone who who’s starting out or a skinny lank

- Solid construction, considering the ABS externals. It feels like I’m handling a stout, long weapon. (It literally is a long weapon lol)

- It it actually comes with a 1200Mah 8.4v nimh and what seems to be a cheap smart charger and I jamming/cleaning rod. Which was a pleasant surprise as it not listed in the description of the gun.

- Version 2 gearbox allows it to be paired with many aftermarket internal parts.

- I have yet to open up the gun and see the gear box but shooting it felt nice, it has a decent trigger response and the shimming sounded good. The (Don’t just take my word for it though, see other reviews for the gearbox review before u buy)

- hop up is solid and rotary, pairing this with the long inner barrel, I bet this would be a great weapon for its range and accuracy. (Again see other reviews on here and other other sources, I am not a subject matter expert on this)

CONS:

- the charging handle is super lackluster, it’s really creaky and noisy when you pull it, personally I like it quite a bit, but it is still definitely not the greatest.

- rear iron sight isn’t solid and has quite a bit of play to it.
(But it’s an airsoft gun, you don’t need a super solid sight for a plastic bb clinger)

- the ABS construction may cause creakiness down the road when you wear the gun down, I own many ABS plastic guns and this happens to be the case when u use them after a long time. It won’t make the gun unusable or anything, but for someone who’s trying to get the full LARP or realism with this should look elsewhere. (But it’s $150, it’s very reasonable for the price)

- the mourning points for a scope/red dot sight is a bit undersized (at least for the mount I put on it) and will cause the sight to wobble. I recommend putting padding like tape to keep it steady if needed.

- it’s not the snappiest or the fastest firing gun
(It’s a longer range gun, not a CQB gun)

- hopup may be proprietary (check other sources/reviews)

Conclusion:
Great gun, it has it flaws but it’s something to be expected for a gun for it’s price. I want to buy one for myself and perhaps I’ll even write another review for it.

"I didn't have huge expectations from this rifle being only $120 but I must say I was pleasantly surprised at the quality that I payed for.

Now the weight may be an issue for some, it feels a little light and cheap in the hands, mostly due to the high amount of polymer in the build, but I have knocked this gun around and used it well in rather cold environments and it hasn't skipped a beat yet.

It's accuracy is way better than any of its competitors at this price range and it's rof with a 9.6v battery is outstanding.

Also the green polymer parts, ie the hamd guard and stock , are easily removed and can be relatively cheap to replace with much better ones found on this sight. This will make the average external build very nice indeed. I'd give the stock gun a 4 out of 5, amd upgraded 5 out of 5 for the price you pay.

"I've owned his aeg for a long time now, actually within a few months of release, and have yet to run into any major problems if at all.

Pros:
Very Durable: despite the outer body being made entirely of plastic [Has taken falls, drops, bangs, cuts, and blows, but trucks on like a champ]

Accurate: Idk if maybe it was just mine, but my g3 has been pretty accurate since day 1 with .25 bb's
Light: pretty light thanks to the large amounts of plastic, but thats not always a bad thing

stylish: its probably just me, but I've always been a huge fan of the g3 looks

cons:
Hangs on semi after a bit: This is more of a con towards the motor aside from the gun, but after awhile of use, the gun started catching and hanging during semi-auto, but is quickly remedied by switching to full auto for a second, then switching back.

No mid-caps: There are no midcaps available that work with this gun. Not quite sure why but the only midcaps available for purchase dont feed into the gun at all.

All in all, I highly recommend this gun for anyone looking for the g3a3. Despite being old and mostly plastic, it has outlived many other airsoft guns i've owned, including a $400 metal m4. It is very durable despite its material. It's accurate, light, and will last you a long time if taken care of. It has a few short comings, but they are so minuet that they are overshadowed by how many great features and everything. it has otherwise

"I've had this fun for about a month, and it has performed very well. Shoots around 350 with .25s for me. Was very accurate, and had a very large magazine capacity. Unfortunately, the wiring came apart inside the gun, on about the 4th skirmish, I was not rough. It just randomly stopped firing. I will be returning it for a new one.

Pros:
Good accuracy
High magazine capacity
Decent Rate of Fire
Hits hard

Cons:
Broke fast(might've been a lemon)
Scope mount is on an ABS plastic receiver.
Good price!

Overall a very good gun for its price. Can't wait to get working one!

"Got this last Friday. Out of the box with .20's I was shooting around high 380's. Added a tightbore 6.01 and it went to 397 consistantly. I put a scope mount and scope on it and played at the field. I used far less ammo than with my M4 and racked up far more eleminations. I use a 9.6v 5000 MAH battery with it and the only problem I had with the gun was the high cap doesn't lock closed so you end up spilling BB's if you tip the mag over after filling it. For a little over a hundred dollars you out reach most of the M4 users on the field with accuracy as a bonus. I tried an 11.1v 1000 MAH battery for a little while on the field but thought I might be pushing the gearbox a little too hard.

PROS:

"Overall:

this gun is pretty sound for 140$, externally ive had no problem with it. i would suggest getting a full metal lower receiver for the gun though because ive heard of them breaking over time, but mine is pretty standard and i dont do much modification to it, so it doesnt really matter to me.

Internal Review:

The internals on this gun werent THAT bad, but it had some low points.

Positives:

It has a standard V2 metal gearbox so after market upgrades are easy to find.

ive had the stock internals on it for about a year now (excluding the bushings) and they havent really disappointed me. until recently when i upgraded it to a 9.6v and the stock piston stripped =/

Shoots just under 400 FPS and ROF is abouts 8 - 11 RPM on the included battery. its about 20 - 23 RPS with a 9.6v

Negatives:

The gearbox is cheap cheap cheap metal. pot metal through and through, and is poorly reinforced. i replaced it with a guarder full metal 6mm gearbox for 38$. ive never looked back.

The pistol grip houses the motor, and the pistol grip is only attached by 2 screws, ive had the stock GB holes for these screws stripped because the GB is so cheap. therefore the motor has backed out of the GB when firing chipping my gear's teeth in a couple places. again, REPLACE THE GB.

Came with plastic bushing (blahhhhh) bought 6mm full metal bushings for it, re shimmed it (didnt really need a re shim, but i did it anyway) re greased it (do that regulary anyway) and it was fine.

the inner barrel when i got this, i cleaned it before i shot it, the rag i used with the cleaning rod came out black....

OVERALL:

if ur willing to spend around 100$ on internal upgrades for it (gearbox, TBB, bushings) then you have yourself a nice gun. i personally have not gotten a TBB for it, i will eventually but it shoots fine without one. in a shooting test i recently did, i shot 10 shots with the stock barrel and battery (after upgrade) at about 35 - 40 yards at a glass soda bottle. 9/10 hit.
Personally im happy with the gun overall

Out of 50:
Internals: 6/10
Externals: 7/10
Accuracy: 9/10
Look: 8/10
Price: 10/10

40/50 or 80/100
so an 80% its not a bad starter gun, it was my 1st gun, and overall im happy with it after i dropped in my upgrades.
I would recommend it for beginners due to the cheap price, and plastic externals.
It's a sturdy gun for the price, easily turned into a sniper, or just used as an assault (though the length can be a bit overwhelming.)

thumbs up to JG for this nice gun at the nice price.

"Ok so I got this gun at the beginning of the year played with it once or twice and found it couldn't hop anything above a .25. It would loose power, double feed, shoot low etc. However I put .25s in it and it worked perfect, didn't quite get the range I wanted but it was still solid. The body is polymer but I've had alot worse. Its light and with an 11.1 it is pretty snappy.
I'm now having new hopup issues where it just doesn't want to lift the bb. I'm sure I got a lemon but I'm still enjoying it so take that as you wish.
by Wolf R. on 07/17/2021
"I think that I might have gotten a lemon, based on other people's reviews. With that being said, it shoots about 320 with 0.25g bbs with decent accuracy. My greatest qualm with it is the incredibly cheap construction, which might just be due to the pricepoint. This thing creaks, and flexes with the slightest movement, and when I bumped into something with the mag, the hopup snapped in two. Speaking of the hopup, it required serious shimming in order to get it to actually do anything. After that, though, it was fairly accurate but suffered from serious dropoff after about 75 feet.

As for the gearbox, it is just ok. From the factory, the shimming was awful and, since I didn't know it wasn't supposed to sound the way it did, I was very lucky that one of my friends pointed it out to me. After that, it performed fairly well.

So, with all that said, it sounds pretty good, but for just a few dollars more you could have a much better Cyma AK. And, since this is marketed as a marksman's rifle, the inferior range is a bit of a letdown. For this reason, it sits in an awkward limbo between being a decent CQB weapon if it weren't obscenely long or a decent marksman's rifle if it were just a bit more powerful. Still a solid gun for medium range but there's better options out there that don't feel flimsy and cheap in your hands.
