AGM Type 96 Airsoft Bolt Action Sniper Rifle (Package: Black / Gun Only)

"I got this gun for my birthday, and I am extremely happy with my purchase. The strap that was included had one of the hooks bend out of place from the weight, but I didn't really expect much of it, I usually use my own straps (right now I'm using a guitar strap with some zip-ties). The accuracy is spot on at 50ft, and doesn't change much until about 100ft I would say. I got quite a few head shots from at least 75ft away, something I could NEVER do with my other guns. My one complaint is that the bolt sometimes comes loose. I'm not sure what causes it, because when I was sitting down and shooting at targets, it came loose, but when I started to play a couple games (put at least 100 rounds through it), the bolt didn't loosen at all. Its not a big deal though, its a rather easy fix. Great buy!

"This sniper rifle is already shooting almost 500 FPS. Don't really need any more upgrades internally. The stock is intentionally designed to be this shape for stability. It is not meant to be used in a CQB game where you run around. Sit it down with a bipod and the balance is perfect.

I'll give it a five for it's accuracy, power and price. The BAR-10 is a good choice too because it is more compact and smaller in frame.

"not bad for the price not going to lie. deffinalty run higher BBs i was running .25s and they were flying everywhere lol. switched to heavier and it works pretty good. looks agro and is smexing, got lots of compliments on it. do not get the bi pod as its very lose and cheap quality. go for a higher quality one

"Now I can't fault this gun too much because it's really cheap, I also purchased this around 2 years ago so the "extra weight" might not be stock anymore. One interesting "feature" I found on this gun is it has large steel bars in compartments inside the body of the gun, adding about 2 pounds for no reason, I removed these after my first game significantly helping the unnecessarily large weight. I found these by unscrewing the many screws on the case to see the works and oil the gun. my first game was full of long range outdoor engagements and being my first time playing I used .23 gram bb's, providing lots of power and relatively little accuracy/ wind resistance. Now that being said for a ridiculously low price (without the bipod and scope) it performed very well, giving me an edge over my friends at long range, even without proper bb's, I would recommend at least .30 or higher for high fps long range sniping. I also bought a $40 swiss arms 1.5-5x scope which worked very well and still sees use on the field. Many have probably done very well with this but my advice for people just starting out is to spend a little more on a good AEG rifle with a decent scope, this will be allot more fun, simple, and reliable. In my opinion this is a terrible option for beginners, in general buy the more expensive quality product as with proper maintenance it will be much better and serve you much longer, good luck airsofters.

"IT was great when it lasted. It was an amazing Airsoft sniper until u decided it was a greeeaat idea to use WWD40 as lubricant. So ime is broken. But overall its a great for starter snipers

"I've had this gun for just over a year now, it was GREAT for the first few months. But I soon had issues...

Pros:
Bolt pull is pretty hard once you get it (can be good or bad).
The FPS is nice, mine shot a constant 465.
Scope is a good beginner scope (but you will need to upgrade after a few months)
RANGE IS AMAZING
Accuracy is great under 200 feet, after that it's trash (but that's normal)
I fell with it and it held up great, the polymer body is sturdy and doesn't feel cheap
The hop up adjuster is SUPER helpful
Mags are cheap
Easy to put together
Mags are small (easy to hold a lot of)
Good weight

Cons:
You gotta use at least .30 gram BB's if not you're not going to be getting anywhere
Again, the scope is good, but you will need to upgrade soon
The mag only holds 22 rounds
The orange tip comes off really easy (can be good or bad)
The butt pad come off really easy and doesn't stay on, so I super glued it on
The bolt's paint chips really easily
The mags are super hard to get in the gun
Mags are small (easy to lose)
You gotta be slow, if you go too fast the mag will misfeed
The sling it came with sucks, it broke as soon as I put it on
FPS is high, some fields don't even allow it, so you need a reliable sidearm
MAJOR - After about 10 months the gun started having feeding issues, I will pull the bolt back and the BB will roll out the end of the barrel, this happens about every other 4 BB's, so I took the gun apart only to find everything was normal, I have yet to figure out a solution. I plan on buying new mags and most likely a new spring system. But for the time being, I can't use the gun.

So all in all, this was a great STARTER gun. Just after a while it's performance really dropped. Yes there are a lot of cons, but this was a great gun. If you are looking for a reliable (to a point), powerful, cheap, and accurate gun; but this beast. You will love it. If you are serious about airsoft you will soon need a new gun though. I have loved mine for 10 months now, and even after I stop using it, it will always be an awesome looking gun.

"First off, don't use lower weight bbs in the rifle. It will jam and the jams are challenging to clear.

the screws on the cheek pad are easy to strip
the mags are fragile. and if you tighten the screws on the side of the mag too tight they wont feed


I only bought the rifle in od green. i use my own scope. but this rifle should fit nicely into your sniper loadout.

Gun can be widely inaccurate if certain factors are ignored.

Only load .25g rounds or higher, .28 is perfect.

Gun jams a lot. A LOT.

Tighten the bolts on assembly. Make sure all parts are aligned and tightened. Do not load magazines to full capacity. I recommend buying 3 and loading them each 3 quarters of the way.

Putting in new magazines sucks as they won't always go right in. You have to insert them at a certain angle and if done incorrectly the magazine can unload during this process.

Buy the gun. Work with it on the feild often and fix problems as they come. This gun is an investment, treat it as such.

cheek rest is uncomfortable and cheap
hop up isn't the best but it does the job
shots can be very sporadic meaning that most of the time it will go straight and some times it curves rapidly.
Plastic body (very durable though so could be a Pro)
Tends to jam A LOT. This could be due to loading too many BB's into the mag.

Id give it a 3.8/5
If the hop up was better and those very few sporadic shots didn't exist then it would be an easy 4.5/5

"I just got this gun in the mail today, the packaging did not look good quality, but the gun came in fine. It took 5 minutes to assemble, and was pretty straight forward. The gun is accurate with .28 gram bbs-.3 gram bbs. If you use less, it would probably be useless.

"This is a very good option if you are a beginning airsoft sniper and want a reliable weapon right out-of the box and not hurt your wallet, I got this gun almost two years ago and it still works, but I did have to get two new mags due to them breaking and a new trigger box (vsr-10) but everything else is stock.

"Had this for sometime now overall a great gun shoots hard and has a great price. The only thing is that this gun is a proprietary and parts are hard to find. I would recommend this to someone just getting in to sniping.
