"I bought it for the lowest weight AEG I ever found on sale.
The battery compartment is the main drawback. The largest battery was I could fit a 11.1V 1450mAH.
I changed the bucking and nub to a maple leaf. It improved the hop significantly, but grouping is still not the best.
Other than what I described above it is all pro:
Quick spring change, takes less than 5 minutes to go from 420 to 320 fps with the right spring;
rotary hop chamber.
All my mid caps magazines (the one that comes with the gun is pretty good) fit.

"This is a really great gun especially for beginners or even intermediate players as it's very strong and high quality with great range and okay accuracy. It has some very premium things like a programable trigger. But buyer be warned I purchased the 350 fps model and when I cronod it in it came out to only about 300 fps. Which was very annoying, luckily though it has a quick change spring which should make it easy to upgrade it for only about $10.
Pros:
great quality
great shooting
great trigger
super fun
Comes with Deans to Tamiya adapter
Comes with great mag
Cons:
Comes in way under expected fps and will need upgrade
Stock wiggles slightly

"This gun is very good for the price. I highly recommend. I got the PDW with polymer hand guard.

Pros
Decent range and accuracy
The firing modes are amazing. I love the different semi option. It's all I use now. :)
The polymer hand guard is perfectly fine. Makes it lighter (not that it's already super light)
Even though it runs a small battery, I haven't had the battery die. I could tell it was getting close though, so buy two batteries
The flash hider is easy to take off

Cons
I put my auto on round burst and now I can't get auto back. Or maybe it didn't have auto in the first place...
The trigger is flat... sigh....

Overall, a super nicely built weapon for a low price that has cool burst functions. I again highly recommend.

"This gun it’s actually good. I got the pdw/tanquer stock version, and it’s absolutely good at the range. Metal M lok rail hand guard, mosfet, a variety of fire mods, and very snappy trigger response with a 11.1 Lipo battery. Just make sure use heavy bbs, 23 or 25 can make the job done.

"I got the SBR/M4 stock and the PDW/Tanker stock for me and my son. It was our first airsoft guns and what a blast! The binary function is VERY impressive and both guns seems quick and snappy when shooting. I haven't shot too many other aeg's, but I have absolutely no complaints for these. Great guns!

"Overall, great gun shoots well despite having to be worn in. (Originally it would shoot all over the place which made it seem like the hop up wasn’t working. I suspect it was because some excess oil was being shot through the nozzle and getting on the bucking)

Love the programmable fire modes.

This version shoots around 310 with .2’s out of the box (not the 380-410 advertised).

Great value for the money.

I was worried that the sling mounting point on the back was not going to be strong but it is actually fine.

Some differences between this and the full metal version (yes there is a separate listing for the full metal version):
1. Polymer receiver
2. Pulling back the Charging handle does not hold back the mock bolt on this one on the metal one it does.
3. Stock is different

"I LOVE THIS GUN. By far the best gun I had out of the box for the price. If you are looking for something cheap and reliable this is the gun especially with the upgraded trigger unit. and high sensitivity trigger.

"My son and I have purchased many AEGs over the years and have tinkered with upgrades to all of them. The Calico Jack came with a ton of upgrades out of the box, including an awesome pre-installed mosfet. This gun only needs an upgraded CNC hop up, bucking and nub a decent high torque motor. Accepts 11.1 Lipo out of the box. However, you have to get a special short battery battery - Matrix 11.1 900mAh part number 30860. With these upgrades, the trigger runs lightning fast in binary mode. You can keep up with anyone running HPAs in semi auto mode. The range, FPS, and accuracy are average, but the AEG is great for all types of games.

"Got this on sale for $135 about a month ago and im very impressed. On an 11.1v battery the trigger response is really good and can even keep up with upgraded aegs. The full auto rate of fire isn't the fastest but for indoor cqb the gun works perfect

"I got this gun when it was on sale for $160. Carbine m4 stock. Field chrono shot around 350-380. This thing is perfect for my first gun. People are saying it can’t be upgraded internally much. But regardless this gun shoots great, has an okay distance, and is relatively cheap compared to other starter guns. Best gun I’ve bought so far. See this lasting a while.

"Works well. Just got it a few days ago and runs well with 11.1v lipo batteries. Love the programable burst option with the progamable binary option its great.

"So far this gun is great. I got the SBR length with the tanker/PDW style stock. The stock is pretty darn secure for being a PDW style. It obviously has a little bit of wiggle, but it's not bad. I bought a TITAN 7.4 lipo (stick type) and it barely fits. You have to modify the end cap for it to fit, but it's just 1 thing that you have to unscrew inside the end cap. It's fairly straightforward.

The only problem I am having is that after about 20 shots, the gun buzzes 5 times and then won't respond unless I unplug and re-plug the battery. If I remember the manual for the MOSFET correctly, I think this means that the gun is getting too much voltage? I do not remember, and I would love it if someone would correct me. It happens with the spare 9.6 I have lying around as well. If anyone has other info, I would really like to know, because I can't find the manual online anywhere. (it was in a separate manual from the regular one for the gun itself)

Overall, from what I can tell, the gun is fantastic, and the hopup has no trouble hopping .25s, so I would guess that it could hop .30s with the stock internals.
