"This is a solid gun. I was looking for a cheap RPK simply because I liked the looks. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. Having previously owned a cm036 from CYMA, The externals from this lmg are just below LCT RPK standards, but with the added mock bolt, realistic take-down, and rear sight. Mostly solid metal and steel construction, there is some pot metal, but that can be replaced. The range and fps are pretty nice and the fire rate isn't too shabby with a 9.6v battery. The only significant problems I have had with the weapon are stock wobble, battery space, and stock magazine. You can always have an extra battery, but the wobble and weakness of the stock are of questionable build quality. The magazine was quite horrible to be honest; did not feed well in the gun and the plastic is very shiny. Get yourself an H-nub, drum magazine, extra battery and you are good to go. I have had this weapon for 5 years and it's still going; pretty good service life for an airsoft gun.

The good:
-great range/fps
-decent accuracy/ fire rate
-surprisingly good externals (steel receiver/one piece barrel) with realistic mock bolt and deconstruction
-good stock internals and amazing stock motor

The bad:
-some pot metal pieces (front sight, gas block, rear sight block, stock trunion)
-limited battery space in stock/ slight stock wobble
-the rear sight can fall off, but you can get a replacement real one for about 40$

Get some replacement steel parts for the pot metal pieces, and some good internals and this RPK will last you a long time =)

"I wanted a light machine gun, something that would scare friends and adversarys alike. Something big and heavy something like a saw or m60. Sadly most of those options are way out of my price range. So a friend told me to get the RPK, but at the moment I was reserved to US guns, psh a Russian gun pass.... I bought the gun, and let me tell you, no not you the other guy, ya you, people fear the gun. With 800 rounds per mag, and 400 fps, people will call their hits. If they don't be like me, shoot them until you hear screams while they run away.
Pros:
400 fps + 800 Rounds= Pain, regret, sorrow, but also smugness, an appetite for screams, and a overwhelming supply of gratitude of fellow teammates.

800 rounds per clip( winding like a fiend)

Will use ak mags, short, extended, highcap, and drums.

Bi-pod included, while it dose tend to open at inconvenience times, laying down in snake infested woods and waiting to mow the enemy down is a plus. Did I mention the snakes?

It's tough, I've dropped it, scratched it, inserted it into the ground while meeting the floor.

Now the Cons:
It's heavy, Do you like working out, do you love heavy, long objects, then do we have the gun for you. But seriously, it's not a light gun, it will strain your arms, so grab a strap or find something to set it on. Remember lift with your legs, not your back.

The mags are plastic, be careful, don't be like me and snap the plastic tab. After 3 months of loving abuse, her mags broke. Do yourself a favour, buy metal mags, evike sells them for about the same as the plastic ones. Also you'll love winding till the cows come home.

And that's about it, a heavy Long gun that shoots hail fire and feeds on the screams of the young and old. Bring extra mags, upgrade to a drum, hold the trigger down till they beg for mercy and most of all, enjoy it as much as I do.

"I've had this thing for over three years, and despite some external flaws, this thing is still chugging along.
Pros:
*Decent Range and accuracy
*Great rate of fire
*Heavy weight
*Great internal durability

Cons:
*Mainly all the cons relate to external part problems:
*The selector switch very quickly got screwed up and now it needs duct tape to keep it from falling straight to semi-automatic.
*Pistol grip feels really cheap (though still very durable).
*Charging handle broke
*Rear sight just fell out during a game and lost it, easily replaceable, but still a pain.
*Bi-pod gets loose very quickly.

Despite all the external jank, this thing will keep firing.

"The CYMA/Echo 1 RPK is a pretty good RPK replica, but it does have some drawbacks.

Pros:
+The RPK is of very good heft and has some good build quality.
+I was sent an Echo 1 instead of a CYMA as part of evike's thing.
+The included magazine works and feeds very well (even though it's a tactical traffic cone color)
+Real wood furniture is very comfortable and sturdy.
+The bipod moves very freely with the replica and is easy to deploy. Very sturdy, too.
+Accepts many aftermarket AK74/AK47 parts and magazines.
+Built well in the receiver area. I actually fell on the gun and it only hurt the magazine.
+Very good range right out of the box.
+Makes you feel like a professional Russian.

Cons:
-Build is not so great in some areas. The iron sights and sling mount are made of cheap pot metal and break way too easily,
-The inner barrel does not extend all the way in the outer barrel. You can really capitalize on the RPK's range by getting a longer barrel.
-The included magazine barely clears the space needed to deploy the bipod. AK47-styled magazines work better for this purpose than AK74 style.
-VFC-styled receiver makes it a bit more difficult to access the gearbox compared to a TM style. It is more sturdy, though.
-Battery space is a little weird to get used to since the wires are a little longer than they need to be.

Overall a very good rifle, but be wary of pot metal poo-poo.

"I have had this for a year now, heavily upgraded.

Lets start with the cons

Front sight block broke off, though a pro is now the bi pod turns more easily and can aim better. (looks unrealistic though!)
Rear windage doesn't work too well so I took it off as it fell off a few times in games.
Matrix magazine jammed in the gun felt like I was going to break my mag well but cyma is tough and it didn't damage the gun.
Gun shoots full auto and single auto in the same selector section now (taken the gear box apart a dozen times for upgrades, not sure how to fix it, selector switch is loose.) One minute you are firing full auto, next it's semi, one minute you are full auto, next its full auto in semi selector spot.
Shoots too hot out of the box for most fields and cqb(410fps) Buy a m110 or m100.

pros
RANGE
RANGE
RANGE
heavily upgraded, now shooting at 225+ft, this thing is like a sniper rifle.
prommy barrel 509, lonex internals, shs piston, stock motor and gears. Lonex hop up.

If you want a sniper rifle buy this gun over a sniper rifle.

"This RPK is amazing, and has a stock accuracy comparable to some high end sniper rifles! However, keep in mind that it is very heavy, has a loose fitting outer barrel, and has a very limited battery space that will only accept anything equal to size or smaller than a block 9.6v battery. Other than that, it is an excellent support weapon, one that makes you look badass no matter what you do.

"This gun looks great and the internals are also great, but I cant get a battery that is big enough to make this work for more than 15 minutes, The front sight and bipod are made out of pot metal and my front sight broke ins at least 2 days of use. (All I did was set it on the bipod for a second). With .20g bbs this shoots like a pig spiting bbs at people at about 50 feet you have about a ten foot spread of bbs. But with .25g bbs it shoots like a dream. Over all decent gun but I would recommend not using the bipod and to just take it off.

"Ive owned this gun for about six months now, and after a handful of usages and a good deal of backyard plinking I feel I have enough info to make a good review of it.

The CYMA CM052 is quite sturdy and hefty, though as mentioned by others the stock tends to wobble slightly though this is a simple fix. THe rear sight can and will fall off if you so much as look at it wrong which upon receiving it confused and disappointed me. Upon disassembling I came to note that the rear sight cant be held on by a death grip like a real AK because under the sight and leaf spring is a grub screw that secures the barrel This is something to take into account as its hidden rather well, so dont forget about it.

Mine came with a missing tooth on the spur gear, or at least I believe it did as while I ran out like a giddy school girl and shot it when I received it no issues seemed present until I opened the gearbox and I never found the tooth. Frankly I wouldnt have noticed ever had I not opened and cleaned the gearbox.

Overall the gun feels solid, though Im not certain I'd go smacking it around too heavily, it wont snap like a dry twig or anything but I would advise against trying to use it to till your garden. My only real disappointment with the gun is the ludicrously small battery space. Housed in the butt stock it is only about 100mm deep and given the massive fuse you loose about an 8th of that even if you do shoehorn everything in there like you're playing Tetris. This wouldnt be too terrible on something that wasnt going to be hosing down targets most of the day, and is only made worse by the fact that the butt plate is screwed on and doesnt snap loose, meaning you could easily loose the two fiddly flat head screws that hold it on if you were swapping batteries. I honestly would have preferred a fake charging handle and the ability to use a stick lipo under the top cover over the 'real' charging handle and piston that is covering it all.

"Amazing AEG LMG for the price!

Pros
- Stamped steel receiver
- Well performing, econo gearbox
- Good weight, not too heavy, but built well enough to stand up to light punishment
- Good looks out of the box, not as nice as LCT, but much nicer than SRC (realistic design, unlike SRC)
- Everything's metal that should be, everything's wood that should be, everything's plastic that should be
- Nice faux bolt with full travel and nice "clang" when racked

Cons
- Bipod is a piece of excriment! Made of cheap pot metal and WILL break on you, guaranteed
- Too much grease in the gearbox (nothing a quick clean, regrease and reshim won't fix)
- Bad hicap mag, feels cheap doesn't feed very well sometimes
- Front sight, made of pot metal as well and WILL break on you eventually
- Finish gets scratched easily

So Sos
- metal hop up (CYMA brand, made of pot metal so it will break eventually, especially if you like slamming your mags into place)
- hop up rubber is ok, but would recommend upgrading to much better rubber 75 degree or 80
- length of inner barrel (inner barrel is 455mm, which is standard for AK AEGs, but does not go all the way to the end of the outer barrel. Sadly, if you want a full length inner barrel you'd have to upgrade the gearbox with a bore up kit. However, that would make this thing a full auto sniper rifle! : ) WIN WIN)

All in all, great AEG LMG for the price and looks the part. Wood can be easily refinished with the right know-how and will VASTLY improve the gun's overall appearance. Can take some punishment in the field, but don't be too rough with her.

"This gun is ok.

All the metal is fairly solid, the wood is trash. Poorly cut, my stock came cracking in half down the middle, and there were a ton of finish runs in the handguard.

Internals we're also pretty trash. They pinched a wire on assbly, the gun didn't fire right out of the box, stock piston and airseal was very poor, and the stock shimming looked like it wouldn't last 1000 rounds or a higher torque motor they were so misaligned.

That being said, was able to shim up and repair the stock, sand and refinish the handguard. Replaced the wiring with my own and a gate nanoaab, replaced the stock piston with an shs with the second tooth ground off and a spacer put in for aoe, shimmed the stock gears properly, threw in an shs high torque and it shoots very nice. Hop alignment is great, stock bucking works well for an r hop at least.

Overall if you are looking for a good stock gun you don't have to touch get the lct. But if you are planning one it needing at least some basic tlc you can't beat the price, the body is straight, and nothing that was wrong couldn't be fixed fairly easily.

"Given the high fit & finish, especially the wood, on other CYMA AK `s I just bought I am a bit disappointed in this one, cheap looking "wood" very rough edges on the hand guard.

The other thing is the surprisingly very tight battery compartment space with all the room they had to work with. No big sticks in here. It`s a non enthusiastic, but reasonably priced keeper since I love the old Soviet weapons, but now wish I had gone with the Folding Stock - Synthetic Furniture model.
by Reid M. on 12/23/2016
"Personally, decent gun overall considering its a CYMA.

Pros:
FPS is amazing
Price is not bad
Full metal!
Very accurate

Cons:
Heavy to lug around (don't expect it to be light)
Battery accesiblity sucks, have to unscrew two screws on the stock to access the battery
Working on it is a nightmare
Cheap bipod, but does the job

Overall, this gun is decent for anything.

"Damaged out of the box!!!!!!!!!!!!!again
by Dan C. on 12/15/2016
"Updating my review. The gun internally works great save for the motor issue I had (look at my last review) and the trigger had issues connecting. Externally though, Echo 1 and CYMA cut corners. Front sight and bipod are cast Chinese pot metal. Both broke off in a game. The rivets are done poorly, the stock and hand guards will loosen and no matter how much refitting you do they will always fail. This gun HATES magazines. You MUST get the CYMA brand AK74 magazines. It hates everything else. The side rail too is NOT up to spec and has issues fitting side mounts. I'd never buy this gun again. Get an LCT or E&L.
