"EXCELLENT RIFLE for it's price. A bit expensive, but definitely worth it. Now. The internals are good, previous G&P issues have been resolved in this. The externals are very, very nice, as G&P is known for its externals in the airsoft world. Rock solid fire rate @ 1500 RPM (25 RPS) with a G&P 9.6V 1600mAH battery. Gun is compact, lightweight and rather accurate. Flip up front sights can tightened if needed. Also has a military adjustable rear sight. AR15 Patent Pending Lite Rail (7.0) in the front offering plenty of rail space. Pistol grip is somewhat ergonomic, BUT will heat up once the gun has been used for some bit. Included with a G&P Mid Cap!

Pros:
+390 stock FPS, broke in to 365 at times
+AR15 Lite Rail offering loads of rail space
+Very nice externals
+Compact
+Very decent RoF with a 9.6V 1600maH
+Is a high-end gun, so show off with it!
+Comes with a very nice mid cap, not just some crappy plastic mag the company halfheart sends you
+Definitely an eye-grabber when you full auto before a match starts, apart from the P*.
+Tan color is sexy
+Lightweight

Cons:
-30 FPS drop after break-in, which means it drops from a high FPS outdoor gun to a low FPS/very high FPS indoor gun.
-Pistol Grip gets hot after a while of shooting
---My wheel hop up isn't the best, always seems to be moving, big minus
-Stubby Raider grip that comes along is a bit short for my hand

OVERALL: 8.5/10
Good price for outstanding externals
Nice FPS
Very nice FPS
Good overall, intermediate to advanced rifle.

"Great rifle! Pros and cons below:

Pros:
+Nice externals (feels solid but also quite light)
+Compatible with many M4 mags.
+Plenty of rail space
+Comes with rail padding and a stubby foregrip
+PERFECT RPS for OUTDOORS (385-400, will lower once it breaks-in)
+Runs good with a 9.6v or 10.8v.
+Can change to a different stock for different battery types.

Cons:
-Receivers are easily scratched, so be careful.
-Maybe a bit overpriced? $280-300 would be good.

"This gun is worth every penny, it's amazing (big step up from a dboy scar)
the tan is a little bit darker than the pics show,

accuracy- fantastic, repeatedly hit a 3 inch target from 50ft
power- seems harder than 350 fps, not the best but accuracy and rof make it up
rof- insane, used a tenergy 9.6v 1600mah battery (shoots faster than most guns with a lipo).............._A 1600MAH BATTERY IS THE BIGGEST BATTERY THAT WILL FIT IN THE STOCK_
unless you use a buffertube lipo...not recommended
or you can take off a cheek rest on the stock and fit ANY SIZE battery with a batt bag or some tape

"It was a great day when UPS dropped off this beauty on my doorstep just a couple weeks ago. Was very fortunate to get what I believe was probably the last one of only two Evike had in stock. This is my second G&P, the first being the Limited Defender. I will have to say, I believe this Sentry is now my favorite weapon. To get to the point, the Sentry is beautifully finished; as you would expect from G&P. They are well known for their external finishes and it is a reputation well-deserved. This desert sand toned unit is just terrific. The finish is so flat, smooth and clean. And it is nice that the plastic Tango Down style grip and the upper and lower receivers are nicely color matched. The gun is very stiff, solid and has no rattles - even regarding the Vltor stock, which is unusual, but indeed great. No, no wobbles whatsoever as far as construction. The Vltor brand trade markings look pretty legit as well. Somewhat surprisingly, my favorite little feature on this gun is the flash hider. The Vltor hider is so freaking cool. So well made and what a sweet design. The mech box on this gun is pretty nice too, identical to the G&P Defender I have, as best I can tell. The internals are quite solid, a lot of metal in there: 8mm ball bearings, steel gears, metal/bearing spring guide, low resistance fat silicon wiring, nice switch and trolly, selector, comes wired with Deans, etc. Spring, it seems, is on the mid weight, but the range on the gun is still great. It is hard to tell with the G&P M120 motor in there. That motor is simply sensational, a brute. Killer balance of power and speed. My favorite motor over anything Systema has, G&G or ICS. In battle the Sentry rocks, hard. I played one full Saturday skirmish with it two weeks ago and I owned the whole day long. The ROF is really nice with a 9.6v G&P 1600 MAh battery I ordered with it. That's about all that will fit in the tight Vltor stock. Mini type butterfly battery at that. I run the 10.8 crane style battery in the Defender I own, and that battery definitely will smoke some gears. I measured the ROF on the Defender and it came out at 30 rounds per second on the stock gearbox and spring. At that speed I eventually broke two of the G&P gears, but at that ROF, I really wasn't surprised. If you're going to shoot a hose like that you're going to have to pay to play. The Sentry is nearly the same gun, at a better price, with more trick externals. At the price of $350 the Sand Sentry is a steal, IMHO. Yeah, I'm a big G&P fan. If you have the ching then get one. Only thing I wish was that they had a O.D. Green version. I would buy that version too!

"When the Sentry arrived I was amazed at the amount of protective material that was stuffed inside the package to prevent harm during the shipping process, A+. The second thing I noticed, when I removed the gun from the protective packaging, was the rock solid state of the gun. Nothing needed to be tightened, everything was in place and no loose rattles, A+. The accessories included in this package deal do nothing but increase it's value. The ladder rails, mod stock, fore-grip, ergo grip, vltor flash-hider, and buis by themselves would amount to the price of the total package, A+. Upon opening the internals I was amazed by the quality of the "Stock" parts. Once again, if you tried to build this gearbox separately it would cost the same as the entire package deal. Everything is full metal/ polly-carb. and very sturdy. the only complaint I have is that everything was WAY over-lubed, It almost looked as if the gearbox was wet when I removed it from the lower receiver.

To sum things up, this is a must-buy package deal. There are no down sides to this purchase and you will not be disappointed with the quality/quantity to value package you receive.

Pros:
Wonderful cost to value ratio.
amazingly well manufactured product, Rock Solid.
Many extras that would double to triple the cost of the gun if purchased separately.
390 FPS stock. (still under 400 in order to accommodate fps limitations at most ops)
Great accuracy and range in stock form
Runs great on 11.1 lipo and 7.4 lipo .

Cons:
Over lubed Gear Box (if you know your way around a gear box, you will want to clean it out and re-lube it)
Little battery space/ difficult to install a normal crane stock battery without wiring it into the stock. Lipo in the buffer tube is the way to go.
