RA-Tech New 2015 Version CNC Machined Steel Bolt Carrier for WE-Tech M4 / M16 Airsoft GBB Rifles - Black

"I did a little research before I purchased this bolt, I found some mixed reviews and I was expecting problems. It turns out this bolt is a real gem and works perfectly in my M4 with no modifications, I paired it up with an Angle nozzle and it works great. The finish and machining is fantastic I really couldn’t be more pleased.

Works really good but does require a bit of modification to the mock has tube in the top of the bolt for the M4 SOl. Just shave a bit off the top and it will cycle beautifully.
As for the bolt catch you will loose the ability for the bolt to lock open but that is because of a fault in the cnc work. The edge is too thin and easy to bend so the bolt basically sheers a small portion of the catch off rendering it useless :/ but overall it's still a fantastically machined piece and is a great replacement for the OEM pot metal carrier.

"Got this bolt a while back to replace the Blacksmith brand steel bolt (Previous gen RA tech clone) that sheered the gas key making it useless.

First impressions of this bolt are very good. Every RA tech part I've purchased in the past had one or more fault that left a bad taste (RA forged body, ambi selector, M4 steel hopup unit, etc etc). To my surprise this one actually dropped into my RA forged M4 upper which i've noticed fit stock WE bolts tightly. After prepping and installing everything it seemed to function great as well. Only major issue was that the orings on stock WE plastic nozzles is slightly too big and therefore needs to be shaved down carefully to function properly. Overall I do recommend this bolt and it seems to be much better than previous offerings. Just be sure to take your time installing and make sure everything moves well with each other.

Pros:
~$70 shipped after coupons (GREAT price)
Good steel and it seems to be heat treated
Two bolts on the gas key, well supported with both threaded through the bolt
Includes a bolt catch
Fits in the RAtech forged receiver (and therefore WE)
Fits plastic WE nozzles unlike the Blacksmith bolt (unconfirmed if the RA Alu will fit)

Cons:
WE Nozzle oring needs to be shaved slightly- this is better than fitting too loosely
No rear weight included (I personally prefer no weight so this is a pro)
With the included bolt catch it only worked half the time (*Different for everyone, I haven't performed bolt catch mods besides shimming the catch)
Nozzle air seal must be good in order to cycle properly

Remember: Everyone's experience will vary and the end user should be prepared to do possible modifications for their setup. This is airsoft after all.
