"I've had mine at 2 AMS events, and soon to be 3 (ZERO ISSUES). This thing is solid and a game changer. Unbelievably fun to shoot and we haven't even upgraded her yet.

"Easily one of the most solid AEG LMG's I've owned.

I was initially turned off by this aeg because I initially thought it was an "M4 with a boxmag", then I realized it actually does have a feed tray and is based off the real steel "ARES Shrike" conversion kit. So, while it's not used by the military(not the US at least), it is based off a real firearm that is mass produced.

Onto the review:

Pros:

-Has some impressive range and accuracy(especially considering it has such a short barrel).
-the build quality is solid(dropped mine on concrete, hard, my first day fielding it due to a sling failure, absolutely no damage occurred).
- box mag feeds flawlessly and is engineered to preform(they've blocked off nooks and crannies where bbs could lodge and cause feeding issues)
- Stock internals are rock solid and leave little to desire.

Cons:

- there's some play between the upper reciever and the lower reciever( then again, my real steel AR-15 has this too. So, realism)?

- The crane stock it comes with is still too small to fit a battery with a high MAH capacity needed for an LMG.

- I personally wish the barrel was longer(but this is subjective).

That's it. Overall I'd say it's well worth the $500 pricetag.

"The gun is definitely worth the price tag worked great straight out of the box I would highly recommend using .28 .25 work good but if you want the best bang for your buck .28 is the way to go this gun doesn’t need any upgrades but I’ve upgraded mine with a Angels custom 6.1 mm barrel and a new hop up unit and put in a better spring to increase the FPS I was expecting to get a normal flash hider with it because I saw some other reviews saying that it came with one but I’m not too mad because it wasn’t in the description and I was going to put a sound amplifier on it anyways

"I love this rifle, its a bit heavy but as soon as you get into a firefight its worth it. the fire rate paired with the crazy range on this thing makes a beast LMG, you can hold down multiple people with this while your team moves up. and forget about reloading because its mag will last you all game.

"9/10 would recommend

I've owned my LMG-E for a little over a year now and it has been fantastic. The box mag feeds impeccably, though it is an odd design. The box mag holds a total of 3500 rounds, but in order to make the mag feed consistently and eliminate jams, Krytac separated it into an upper and lower reservoir. The upper reservoir holds about 1200 rounds (if you get clever with the loading) and is where the BBs are fed from. The lower reservoir holds the remaining count of BBs and does not feed, but is instead used to refill the upper section. A lever on the rear of the box is depressed and the magazine is flipped upside down to refill the upper feeding reservoir from the lower section. This may be clunky, but the feeding performance is worth it as clearing jams in any box mag sucks. I used the rifle at many open play games and three large op style games in the last year. The range and LMG classification in an ar-15 footprint makes it super lightweight in relation to other SAWs while also outperforming them. In addition, this gun rips in full auto, It didn't have and skips in feeding and ended up getting a little over 20 rps with an 11.1v 20C LiPo (I know Krytac says not to use an 11.1, but I had no issues with my 20C's). The hopup is great and easily hops .35 BBs after broken in. The bucking is also really good for a stock gun, and I ended up replacing it with an OEM one after I tore the original. After the last event I took it to, I decided the range wasn't quite good enough, even though I was reaching out to a little over 200 feet with .30g BBs, and tried to flat hop it. I am not good at teching and ended up stripping out the piston. I tried to fix it, but again, I suck at teching, and ended up just buying a CRB and swapping the uppers based on the role I needed to fill, another pro stemming from the ar-15 lower the gun uses. Though the LMG-E is a great gun, some MILSIM events (ie MILSIM West) don't recognize it as a real SAW as it is based on the ARES Shrike that never saw official combat use. So if you want an lmg for those events, you'd probably be better off buying a featherweight m249, stripping the hand guard's upper rail section off, and throwing a new hopup and barrel into it. A point of failure I saw personally is the piston as it is the same polymer piston used in Krytac's M4s. I would've liked to see a more reinforced design, but it does its job fine and unless you tear through 1000 rounds with one trigger pull or are like me and tried to shoot through a jam, I don't expect you'll have any issues. I personally haven't experienced this, but I have seen Krytac lowers broken just above the pistol grip, under the stock. This is because the buffer tube screw only threads into the body, not the gearbox itself. So if you do buy this gun, don't go slamming the stock against barricades.

Summary:

Pros
-Great Hopup
-Great Mag Design
-Solid Construction
-Good enough battery space
-Lightweight
-Can take M4 mags
-Real Spec Keymod

Cons
-Just ok piston (really digging for cons here)
-Kinda Wack Box Mag Design
-Possible point of failure above pistol grip
-Not always considered a SAW (MSW)

Conclusion: Great performer out of the box in a well thought out and efficient footprint.

"Got this in a box of awesomeness. great gun my favorite in my collection. one of the best out of the box support weapons I have ever seen. unparalleled performance. especially with an 11.1 or 7.4-volt lipo battery.
by Mangquell H. on 10/19/2019
"Beyond impressed, I highly recommend replacing piston for an SHS 15 teeth piston (one with holes) and then you gotten yourself an LMG for life.

"How do you spell awesome? It has to include something about this LMG. Performed well out of the box. Looks great on the field. This was my first Krytac and it has spoiled me for other manufacturers. I had a hard time finding information about what batteries to use but the local shop sorted that out of me. I recommend a sling as the gun and all the bbs in the magazine gets heavy to carry after a while. That said, the gun is compact enough to maneuver around well and powerful enough to shoot a fair distance with very good accuracy. Be careful with the frame piece below the front portion of the barrel. It is apparently held in place by a screw around the barrel and, if that loosens, it will fall off. I caught mine doing this and made sure to tighten the screw down and have had no further problems. I would also suggest adding a front grip of some sort as it makes it easier to handle in my opinion. But that is likely an individual preference things.
This gun has made me one of those who likes Krytac.

"Love this gun. Took it to my local field and it was keeping up with polarstars and snipers. Box mag was really hard to open the first time, I suggest you use a flathead to pry it open. An overall great gun for mag dumping kids who burned your patch.

"I've always wanted a great performing LMG to fit a support role, but have always been apprehensive of A&K's build quality from an internal point of view. Seeing the reliability of Krytacs and more specifically that the LMG variant carries the same internals as a CRB model. I found the LMG is no exception; it is a fantastic performer. The external build quality is solid, and the box mag feeds well and keeps up surprisingly well with the blistering 20rps fire rate (powered via 9v battery). Internally I recall that there are bits and pieces that are in fact proprietary, but out of the box it's already a great LMG to fit the role. The keymod handguard is solid, and locks rails in well if you're firm with your locking in of new rail segments. I run a top rail and bottom rail for a foregrip and MBUS flip ups, and still have room fit a well sized scope on the optic rail. It can reach targets comfortably at 150+ feet and the flurry of rounds guarantees either some good hits or phenomenal suppressive fire for squad mates to move up or transition covers. It's a comfortable LMG as well, and compact by comparison to an M249, M60, or M240B. If you want to add a touch of realism to its look, you can pretty easily fit a belt of 5.56 dummy rounds from the box mag to the belt feeding portion of the top. I can't recommend it enough.

"Was finally able to field this baby and I was not disappointed! Rate of fire (I use an 11.1v Lipo) was amazing, accuracy was like a laser, and the hop was one of the best stock hops I've ever used. I was also pleasantly surprised with the sound this gun produced. I had more than one person comment that they could hear my gun being fired from pretty far away, and that it made them want to steer clear of my position. While this gun is lighter than your standard M249 or M60, etc, it is still much heavier than a standard M4 variant, especially with the box mag, so keep that in mind. Speaking of the box mag, while working it was a little different than most other box mags, it's pretty cool that it feeds into the gun like a standard M4 mag. This meant that I could switch to regular mags at will! I also didn't experience the box mag falling out of the receiver like some other reviewers did. Overall, this gun was a great purchase and I doubt you'll regret it.

PROS
Awesome look
Loud (scary to come up against)
Accurate and powerful
High ROF (with a Lipo, at least)
Intimidating, to be sure

CONS
Heavy (relatively)
Loud (everyone will know where you are)

"I bought my lmg-E earlier this year and im rathee impressed. I run mine with an 11.1 1200mah lipo and at 21 rps its evil. The only downside is i had to wear out my spring a bit for the field i play at. According to them my lmg "pissed" hot at 427fps brand new. I do have the same issue the others talk about with the mag falling out but the upsides outweigh the downsides. Ive already dumped four 5000 round bottles thru my lmg and most of the opposing team hate it.

"I wanted to test out this weapon a fair bit before I posted a review, and my conclusion is that this weapon performs flawlessly. The first time I used it, the range suprised me. Easily hitting 200 foot shots, and consistently so. The weapon feeds phenomenally and looks incredible to boot. The box mag winds and feeds exactly how it should and with the 10,000+ rounds I've put through it, I've only had one issue. I've had problems with the box mag feeding into the magwell and causing the box not to lock in properly. This caused some misfeeding issues, but was easily solved by popping out the mag and releasing the loose BBs. It is fairly heavy, but that comes with the build quality. I can honestly say that this is by far my favorite primary.

Pros:
range
FPS (mine regularly chronos at ~375)
Build quality
Looks
Ammo capacity
Can use STANAGS
Weight (pro for me, con for some)

Cons:
Box mag overfeeding (but could have been my fault due to never running a support weapon with a box mag)
Weight ( can weigh you down quite a bit of you're not used to it)

All in all, I'm very pleased with this weapon. The price seems a little high, until you get it in your hands. The box mag alone is expensive. The build quality and range are worth the price.

"Really great gun, I used it during this years lion claws and it performed very well. The only real issue I had was the box mag falling out of the mag well during game play.
