"Honestly these should be standard in all aegs (which I guess some manufacturers are trying to do their own unique mosfet configurations). I use these in efficiency builds with stock or 16:1 gears with torquey af motors. Wiring these in stock wiring isn't difficult. You can put it in 2 configurations which I appreciate since keeping one trigger wire doesnt change the length of the wires too much, although usually I do full trigger wire replacement with the signal wire.

Prep was easy enough considering I forget to follow pro soldering tips. I used helping hands to hold the mosfet from one side, drop a tiny drop of flux, then add small dot of solder, then flux the signal or negative wire then add solder to the ends of those, then while the solder on the board is still semi-hot, melt the the solder and insert the wire into it then blow so it cools in place quickly. I haven't fried any of these boards yet and haven't had any failures using 11.1v lipos. I highly recommend these and also the nanoasr (I used those in my personal aegs)

"I fried mine.
.
Be careful. Know how to solder and have a good iron. Prep the surfaces, they're slick. Let the board cool between the required 3 solders. It is super small. You can solder it in line and install the supplied shrink wrap. The second one went fine.

"SUPER SMALL!! LESS THAN 1 INCH!! works awesome, super small and compact, was able to fit it inside my gearbox shell right behind the spur gear.

"Order 2 or 3 of these if you have never soldered small parts before. Research soldering and get all your tools together before attempting installation.

"works great with 11.1 lipo and makes the gun feel some much smoother.

"Works great! Not hard to install, it's just small so you have to be careful with the soldering but I would not recommend using the shrink wrap they give you. It's very stiff and doesn't shrink all that much.

"It is super small which is good if you are really tight on space. Unfortunately, I'm 90% sure I toasted mine while I was soldering wires to it, and it didn't work right. I'm going to call that my fault and not the mosfet being bad.

"Absolutely, positively, tiny MOSFET that can be shoehorned into just about anywhere you'd like to put it, as I've seen wire joints that are fatter than this thing. I use mine with Deans noodle wire, a pair of tiny signal wires to link to the trigger. There are some negatives though. Since the unit is so tiny, it is difficult to solder to, and does not handle the heat from being soldered well. If you're not very good with an iron, you can easily destroy the chip. GATE chipsets are very tough, but MOSFETs are still vulnerable to heat. If you're on a severe crunch for space, this is an excellent alternative to larger FETs or traditional wiring, but if you're not a decent tech, consider having an experienced tech solder it in for you.

"im sure its just my bad soldering but i couldnt get this to work for the life of me even when all of the wires were together it would only half cycle my motor and was just acting weird in general. however i saw someone else with in their gun and it worked great and its soooo small. my advice is to get a tech to install it because it preforms good im just not skilled enough to do it.

"Does the job, no complaints. I had only soldered once before this installation and I got it to work with a complete re-wire to 16 awg and deans all around so I believe anyone could install this if they tried. Fits in buffer tube very well because it's less than 2 cm long and less than 1 cm wide.

"This thing is microscopic compared to some fets and works just as good, this is about the best mosfet on the market in this price range that is just a simple 3034 and it increases rof and trigger response, a must is you run a lipo or even a nimh for maximum performance, its a little hard to solder but is a must especially is you run a vfc because the 2 piece wiring screws you over on an 11.1 but this is an excellent buy.

"Awesome little MOSFET unit. I have them in 3 of my AEGs already. I would highly recommend replacing stock wiring and installing this plus some Deans or XT60 connectors for your battery. I always notice a significant difference in the ROF and trigger response after installing one of these. I may try their PicoAB next, but I'm plenty happy with these.

You better be up on your soldering game to install this, however. I've soldered smaller things than this, like 0402 package SMD components, but this will surprise you when you open the box. I would recommend some anti-static protection as well, but for some reason GATE doesn't ship the unit with an ESD safe bag. I haven't had a DOA yet, but it could happen.

"OMG this thing is tiny it can fit anywhere in the wiring of any gun it's that small!

I don't own this fet but I installed it for a friend.

There are two contacts on the bottom of this mosfet that connect the negative leads from the motor to the battery and a extra wire came with the fet to connect the mosfet with the trigger contacts.

*PROS*
VERY small mosfet
Cheap price but no cheap construction here
Manual for installation

-CONS-
Can be difficult to sodder because the mosfet is so small (the thing is about the size of your pinky finger)
Can't take High voltage batteries (Nothing above 12V so no 14V LiPos)

That about sums up the mosfet.

"I wrote a review on this that never got posted, so I'm going to try again..hint, hint. Okay, I love GATE products, I use them exclusively as my mosfet maker, and I think the GATE Titan and the NANO AAB are the best mosfets on the market from personal experience. The PICO AAB is also an outstanding choice when pinched for space since it's so small. I've NOT had good experience with the PICO SSR. GATE states in their online instructions, and online reviews confirm, that you have to be incredibly careful when soldering these. I have installed 4 of these using a business next door to mine that does nothing but super high end, secret squirrel level electronics fabrication. You wouldn't believe the equipment they have. We have had 3 out of 4 of these PICO SSR's fail a week or 2 after installation. We're talking complete dam break, sh-t your pants, fire drill failures until all the wires inside a gun melted. This mosfet should be removed from the market. It's flat out dangerous. It cannot handle 11.1v voltage and if the resistor fails it goes off the farm. I believe strongly that GATE makes great mosfets with quality components, but this one is just too small and delicate to handle an 11.1v battery left connected to the mosfet. You CAN fry these with sloppy overheating while soldering, but that is not what's causing the failures most of the time. Caveat Emptor folks.

"I've picked up two of these and both of them fried on me. they are too small to be effective and have a surprisingly low limit on what 11.1v batteries they can handle. once they do fry, it's game over - you'll need to resolder them to even make the AEG work, and that cannot easily be done at the field. unfortunately, I couldn't find the exact limit on what lipos they handle, but they both fried on my 30c 1300 mAh 11.1v after working alright on an 8.4v to test functionality. also the installation is tricky because they're so small, but I wouldn't care about that if they just worked lol.

if you're in the market for a smaller mosfet, the Gate NanoASR/AAB is a tad bigger and has handled bigger batteries for me, but I'd recommend the Jefftron series already built into the trigger contacts if you're rocking a v2 or v3. it's drop-in and only a few dollars more, plus it's completely internal so you don't have the mosfet dangling around.
