"This gun is a real magnificent piece of work. Good quality polymer on the outside, and metal on the inside. Reasonably heavy, and feels badass to heft/carry around. The foldable stock allows it to be made even more portable, when necessary.

The EBB effect is really nice, as it adds a little bit of realism to the gun while firing. Loud metallic clack-clacking, as well as an extra bit of tactile feedback every time the firing mechanism cycles.

Fires straight and fires fast. Mine performs very well using a 7.4v lipo rated at 1200 mAh, 25C. Just be warned that the battery compartment may be a bit cramped. As long as your chosen battery isn't too fat (say, about 17-19mm wide/tall at most), it's manageable.

Got nothing bad to say about this gun, it's genuinely great and worth the price tag.

"Great air gun solid polymer, kick is nice, only thing is battery compartment is a bit small. The burst fire is awesome and being able to run a lipo out of the box is great.

"Bought this bad boy a couple weeks ago, so can't say anything about the longevity, but it's a bada$$ gun, very precise, great range, the electronic blowback feels awesome, gun has several rails for you to mount things such as flash light, laser, red dot sight, and operator grip. The foldable stock is a huge advantage too. In addition to the full auto and semi-auto, it has the burst mode, which is also great. I'll be putting it to use at my first event this weekend at George air force base. Running 11.1v, 1100 mah, 25c battery on it (for those concerned about a good battery fitting)

"Ok how do I say this..... this gun is ridiculous. I absolutely love it. For the $250 I bought it at (before they bumped it to $280) it’s the best purchase I’ve made. It comes w a 300-400 rnd hi-cap and that’s enough to keep you rocking till you buy mid-caps. It’s built really solid and some people say it’s heavy but it really is manageable. The stock won’t move or rattle when it’s extended. The ebb runs really well but with a 8.4-9.6 battery the gun is sort of sluggish at around 12 rounds a second, so make sure you upgrade to an 11.1 cause this gun will take it. Mid caps are a lot more comfortable cause of the winding wheel for the hi-caps being really small.
Running an eotech and a xcortech bb counter turns it into a blocky beauty.
Pros: runs like a champ no matter what
Has enough range to be used and be viable outdoors
Two round burst
Handles a lipo like a champ

Cons: body pins can come out so keep an eye on it
Fire selector is squishy
Battery space is picky

5/5 for sure, best gun I’ve ever owned

"I’ve had my UMP45 Elite series for about two months now and I absolutely love it! They say 340 FPS but I’ve chronoed it at 370 and 387 with the original spring. The trigger response is great, as well as the accuracy. The only negative I have to say is the minimal upgrades available and no one makes a drum magazine adapter for the UMP45. I highly recommend this gun if you’re in the market for a SMG.

"I love this gun. I have had it for 2 years and it still works great. The blowback makes it super fun. Only cons are the mags. They are very hard to find in mid cap which is a problem for milsims. The mid caps I have don't lock in well.

"I got this gun a while ago and decided to write a review just now. First off, this SMG is AWESOME!
Externals:
Great, sturdy receiver, stock, and handguard. You can feel the nylon fibers in the polymer, making it a bit rough when you first hold it (it gets smoother over time). It's got nice H&K trades stamped into the side and on the mock bolt. The mock charging handle slides an inch or two before it engages the bolt, but that's fine. The whole gun is quite heavy. The folding stock is great!
Internals:
The MOSFET really makes for a great trigger response. The trigger is super smooth, and very responsive. The EBB is nice, and there is even a way to easily disable it if you want. The pins in the receiver are very stiff to remove. It's super accurate, even with the stock barrel, hop-up, and bucking. However, the hop-up is very stiff to move, but it was already in a good position, so that's fine.

Pros:
Great accuracy and range
Epic look with mock bullets in the mag
Great feel and weight
Looks even better with a mock suppressor and some accessories.
Great trigger response
Cool EBB turns heads on the field
Much more...

Cons:
Stiff hop-up wheel
Limited battery space
Heavy
That's about it

If you're looking for an SMG, or specifically a UMP, this is one of your best options. Otherwise I'd probably go for an ARP-9, a Kriss Vector, or a CZ Scorpion Evo.
Hope this helps!

"I have had my UMP for quite a while now and it’s safe to say it’s my most durable and favorite replica I own. It may be made out polymer, but that doesn’t stop it from being built like a tank. It is on the heavy side which is a pro for me, but maybe a con for others. When I got mine it was shooting right at the 350fps mark which is perfect for cqb, but it also is a beast at range. The blowback is light, but you notice it every time you fire. The gun is easy to disassemble because of the version 3 gearbox and it has a quick change spring system which makes it slightly easier to swap springs. My only complaint it that the hop-up is hard to move and requires a flathead screwdriver to push it up and down. It took some wearing it to work properly.

Pros:
Durable and hefty
FPS right on 350
laserbeam straight out of the box
Makes you look unique on the field
comfy stock and rubberized cheek rest
Easy to upgrade

Cons:
Stiff hop-up

"This is my first airsoft gun and I'm glad to have chosen this model however there are some drawbacks that I vaguely had a clue of going into this purchase with what little knowledge I have at the moment of airsoft.

I Purchased the recommended 9.6v NiMH in 1600mah and it is too long. It's also extremely narrow and the charge handle slide can either block the battery from entering or cause it to become lodge with the slide. I ended up damaging a battery in order to get it out and not sure If it's salvageable. Seems the best option is to go to lipo for the size and the included MOSFET. I plan to get an 11.1 version and I measured the inside with the bolt back to be safely 170mm but maybe you can get away with 180. It might be cramped at the door with the connectors.

Other than that, I also specifically chose this model for it's EBB performance. To me, this is one of the more audibly pleasing AEGs. (very little to indistinguishable electric motor sounds) and for my build at 5'5" and 130 lbs I feel the dimensions are proportionate.

I've just done some plinking and haven't adjusted the hop up. In the future I absolutely plan to hit the fields once I familiarize myself more with my new weapon of choice.

"The hicap my UMP came with does not feed well. Although these are kinda expensive, they are really worth it. I've had no problems with feeding and they're a decent capacity too, considering most SMG midcaps don't have a capacity above 100. The build quality is great and the dummy rounds are a nice touch. Highly recommend.

"This is my first aeg and I love it. The ebb is crisp, the range is great, getting a solid 150 ft with minimal hop up. The battery I'm using is the Matrix 1600 maH 9.6v stick. It slides right in the battery compartment and allows the bolt catch to fully engage to adjust hop-up no problem while lasting for 4 hrs of indoor cqb using only about half the charge. I would suggest getting a scope on a riser as the iron sights are so low that even with goggles and mesh I couldn't use them, but I expected that. My model is the gen 2.

Pros- Good trigger response
Good battery life
Great range
Great rof with a 9.6
Hi cap works beautifully

Cons- Not thrilled on sling mounts, but a carbine helps.
The instructions gave the wrong direction for hop-
up adjusting, up is more, down is less.

All in all, thrilled with this gun, glad I waited to get an aeg so this could be my first.

"A fantastic gun.

Bought it for my brother as his first airsoft gun. Performs very well and upgrades very nicely.

It's accurate and powerful.

If you're in the market for an UMP, this is it.

"I ordered this gun back around November and I personally have not had any problems with it. I love this gun. Im shooting around 345 fps with .25s and I can easily hit targets at 175ft give or take a few. the gun is light to use and it will not kill you if you use it all day. When it comes to the battery im using a 7.4v lipo 1200 MAH 30c battery and I get good rate of fire and it fits the battery compartment really well. I was intending to use my 7.4v Titan battery but it will not fit at all to my dismay. I also bought the 5 magazines licensed by UMAREX and they work great with this gun. Im looking to do some minor upgrades with this gun to see how much more range and power I can get from it.

"ive had this gun for a couple of months now and I've got to say it is one of the most fun airsoft guns ive played with. it is a laser from close to medium range and has an awesome blowback system that makes a very intimidating noise. the compartment for the battery is not the worst ive seen in a gun but do not push the battery in too far or the blowback system will jam but it is an easy fix. the gun is mostly polymer which makes it very light and maneuverable. I am very surprised at the price for the gun at $250, because it includes a in line mosfet, EBB, and its a fantastic gun on the field. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a gun to laser people within medium range and have fun time on the field.

"Sexiest gun in the world. Shoots like a laser. Not the best gun if you want pure performance and practicality, but a great gun nonetheless.
