"This thing is great. I say again this is an awesome aeg receiver. The metal is high quality and very durable. The back pin, bolt release, and magazine catch all fit in perfectly. The front pin needs a little push but that is it. Over all this is an amazing upper and lower receiver.

"Purchased this for a knock-off gen 1 APS-Hybrid gearbox out of an Ignite/Black Ops M4 Viper which I purchased broken. The facebook comment about the holes for the body pin are correct, I was able to use the body pins from the M4 Viper just fine.
It has a great, light-weight feel to it and is very durable. I've dropped it a few times and it's held up. The bolt catch works fine with the APS knockoff gearbox. There is a slight issue with the selector switch though; it works fine with one motor grip set up, but on another, doesn't engage properly and will only put the gearbox in Full auto mode (safe works just fine). The charging handle did need a bit of lube to work properly with the gearbox blow-back bolt I am using tho, so not really a con IMO. The dust cover does not want to stay in place, I think the catch on the inside is just weak.
All in all, I would recommend this if you have an APS style gearbox, but not any other.
Pros:
+ Light weight
+ Durable construction
+ Working bolt catch (For APS style gearboxes)
+ Very little wobble in the mag well
+ Excellent mag release (a bit stiff but then works to just soft enough over time)
Cons:
- Body pins holes are not the correct size on the left side of the lower receiver.
- D-Ring threads are a little off
- Selector switch has minor issues with gearbox tightness
- Dust cover doesn't stay in place.

"Just recieved this in the mail, slightly disappointed.
Its a carbon copy of the Black version, and has all the problems as well.
Although pictured with coyote brown switches, mag release, etc; mine came with black pins and such.
The charging handle has no spring and the frame has no place to put a spring, as well as the fact the charging handle is a GBB version, not aeg. Adding onto that, there is no way to open the dust cover from the outside.
The holes do not line up properly with a V2 gearbox and because of that I'll be heading up to the city after its done snow season to (Hopefully) get it modified to work with my V2 gearbox. There's not even enough room for a one piece G&G hop-up , placing it in the upper with the barrel, makes it impossible to put the two halves together.
I would actually want a refund, because after going over all this? This is a replacement GAS BLOW-BACK body, not a AEG body, as Evike has it labeled as. So, more then likely I'll have to buy one from the store in the city and have them replace the entire frame. But Im not too bothered, I can afford to deal with this.

"The description says that it fits most V2 gearboxes, but this is not true. The rear receiver pin and trigger pin are about 2mm further apart from each other than other receivers. You can't install common V2 gearboxes in this without serious modification that will cause alignment issues. You can only reliably install an APS gearbox in this, and those are very poor quality. The receiver itself however is well built so if I end up repairing someones APS receiver, I have one laying around now...

I'm really not sure who's fault this is, either APS for distributing an unusable product, or Evike for falsely advertising it!
Long story short, this receiver WILL NOT accept standard V2 gearboxes without some serious modification to the receiver, and gearbox itself. I can only assume that this product is intended for use with APS brand V2 gearboxes, but I doubt even that as the charging handle has no spring and the frame has no place to put a spring, as well as the charging handle being a GBB version, not AEG! Also, there is no way to open the dust cover from the outside, so adjusting hop up would be pretty much impossible.
Ultimately, this receiver is utterly unusable with a Marui type M4/M16, contrary to what this product is listed/described as. If you're looking for a replacement receiver for your Marui/JG/Echo1/similarly styled M4/M16, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
Overall I'm very displeased with this whole experience, I'm disappointed with both APS and Evike.com as I feel that both are partially responsible. I have requested a full refund and expect that request to be honored.
