*May not fit 5000mah cells, best for up to 4500mah. Matrix "Fat" Type Battery Crane Stock Set for M4 / M16 Series Airsoft AEG Rifles
This is the large crane stock that holds Sub C type battery cells. Preferred by many for it's larger cheek rest and ability to house large type custom crane stock batteries. A great upgrade for your M4 / M16 whether you want to use it as battery housing or not. This is the redesigned of the Classic Army one with the OEM direct pricing rather than $100.
Crane stocks are for advanced players. Crane stock systems used to have a $150 price tag when it was first released into the Airsoft industry. Crane stock gained it's popularity with the slick look, hidden battery compartment and it's offer of a comfortable cheek rest. Airsoft M4 / M16 rifles with a battery installed crane stock also has a much more balanced weight due to weight of the RIS and metal outer barrel. The draw back of the crane stock is that it takes crane stock or single stack nun-chuck batteries and could be a bit more time to install than regular large type battery pack. Material:
Nylon Fiber, Rubber Length:
(Not included.) This crane stock takes large and small type nun-chuck (single stack) and /or crane stock batteries. Features: Integrated battery compartment for a slick look without PEQ2 box or full stock. Shooter adjustable 5 Position retractable stock. Steel Metal AR Stock Tube / Pipe included with per-drilled parts for wiring. Comfortable angled cheek rest much more comfortable than a standard AR stock. Holds up to a 9.6V 4500 mah custom crane stock battery pack. (5000mAh battery packs may not fit, or may require modification to battery tubes) Balances the weight of the gun better (when having the battery in stock). A voted "better looking" gun!
"Just got this in today. It says it fits 4500mAh on down. I have a 4200mAh and it doesn't fit. So if youre running 7/8" dia nunchucks, this wont fit. I did my due diligence and researched this before buying. Called a few times and left emails for the techs. They all said that my batteries would fit. Turns out they were all wrong. So back it goes. Going to try the JG crane stock from airsoftnation. Might have better luck. Plus its cheaper even with shipping. If that doesn't work, then I guess Ill have to shell out the big bucks for the madbull battle-axe.
"honestly, matrix is one of my least favorite brands, but i figured how can they mess up a basic stock and buffer tube assembly?
great pricing for both a stock and tube. the stock itself is good quality, i was able to fit a fairly thick 11.1V stick type lipo in it no problem.
the buffer tube is heavy as hell. which actually worked in my favor to balance out the weight of my build. i didn't like the fake threads and fake castle nut. may as well have just made it a cleaner unthreaded look.
"I got this yesterday and installed it on my gun, and I love the look of it. It's not as expensive as the other types of similar style stocks, but it is still a great one to buy if you are on a budget like me. It feels strong and durable, and even without any padding on the stock except for the back of it, it is still comfortable and if you want padding it is an easy fix. The stock was a little difficult to put on, and once I got it on I found that it can still shake a little bit, not much but enough that you notice. The only other thing is that as it states, you will need to mess around with the stock to fit a large battery.
Comfortable despite the lack of padding
A little difficult to install
Moves a little bit once it is on
Have to modify a little to fit a large battery
Overall I would definitely give it a 4/5! The cons can easily be fixed
