"Great gun for the price. Shoots right out the box. Comes with hicap mag, tools to take off stock, and two sling adapters that can be screwed in on either side of front guard and on the right side of the folding stock. For right handers it's kind weird but you'll get used to it.
Crono in 40°+ weather and 7.4 lipo and it's 380-390 stock on .20. I used .25 on field and it's killer at 50+ yards. Where most rentals fail to reach, I reached out to get them. RPM is slower then you expect. I liked it as I don't use so much bbs in my midcaps. My 1200mah lipo was good for 6 games with a mix of auto and single fire.
Metal construction is great. Flawless in that it looks different from other m4's. I like the blueish grey plastic on dark grey. Took off the front and rear sights and put on a T1 red dot. Looks like a FAN Fal from afar but that's what I was looking for. A different look.
Bought poly mag midcaps and feeds flawlessly. Most people have problems because they don't put in mags correctly for this gun. Hopup tip in first and then jam it in. Hi cap that came with it is a metal hicap. Great for when you want to cover fire.
Haven't taken the gun apart so can't say on inner barrel length or the innards. Hopup cover is spring so it'll keep out dirt when you're running around outside and won't accidentally open. To get off the handguard for the battery compartment, you I really have to turn the handguard and the push up. Don't be afraid as you need massive power for that. Has holes on bottom handguard if you need pic rails, you can buy rails to mount it. I don't need it as the guard is thick and great to hold.
Locking Metal Charging handle and feeder does nothing. Just asthetic. +1 for less things to break. Stock locks great when out. When folded it is kinda loose but i rarely have it folded as it's a long range gun. Probabaly the only con is that the orange tip is plastic and I'm not going to gripe about that.
Coming from a paintball player this gun is right on the money for a starter gun.
+ All metal construction
+ Shoots max right out of the box 380-390
+ Good looking
+ Accurate 50+ yards
- You don't own one
- Go buy one
"Great gun. It has a LOT of power, and is extremely accurate. I can hit a thin-link chain with it from 30+ yards away. I heard that A&K used to have bad interiors, but that does not apply to the GR-300. The gearbox is well-built. The entire gun is made almost exclusively out of metal, which makes it very sturdy and well-balanced. The mag locks tightly into place, with no rattle at all (at least on mine). The only cons to this gun are the plastic handgrip, which feels cheap compared to the rest of it, and the fact that the paint scratches off easily, especially from the magazine. Also, the M120 spring requires a lot of power to pull back, Which makes the RPM rather unimpressive (around 600-rounds-per-minute), as well as rendering you with a short battery life. So I would suggest investing in a high-quality battery if you buy this, at least a 9.6V Ni-MH, but an 11.1 V Li-Po works best. Definitely recommended.
"Only giving it 4/5 for now until it's field tested tomorrow on G&G day at Ballahack. First thinks fist, the inner barrel is not 400mm, it is more like 330mm inner barrel stock. Mine came with a 9.6v small brick type battery, and I purchased an Intellect 9.6v nunchuck style battery, both of which fit very well, however the nunchuck style fits better due to the fact it is more flexible. Another thing to point out, as I plugged both batteries into my smart charger, said both had a full charge but t they barely cycle the motor. At first I thought I got a bad gun, but just to check I homed up one of my AK (known good) batteries, and Pew-pew she went. Anyways plugged both new batts into a wall charger for a couple hrs each and both work well. So I did a couple mods to this guy out the box: a 407mm TB barrel, a Modify hop-up unit; H-hop bucking nub, and a Madbull 60 degree red bucking. Pro needs the break-in a bit, but it has pretty decent range and laser like accuracy with my lancer Tac red dot out to 60ft. G&P high RPD mags feed flawlessly until you get to the last 3-4 bb's (wish I could buy the G&G magfollowers after market). The high cap that comes with it doesn't fit great but it does fit and lock into place. The folding stock is awesome quality, locks solid AF to the rear, however it flops around when folded to the side, no matter as I will still be marking fools with it. The sights are cool, although this could be a bad apple my rear sight is perma-canted.....tried making a spacer but to no avail, she Lea s to the left, but as firemen ruined I have that red dot😉. Oh yeah 407mm barrel fits like a glove, right to the end of the flash hider, and this thing has a metal hop-up unit in it stock, although looking at it the bucking barely gets any adjustment off if whatever is in there. Anyways I'm happy with my purchase, hope this review was helpful to y'all, it as a bday present to my self and picked it up from the epic deals, which was $160 like a minute ago.
