The FAMAS is a bullpup styled assault rifle and the official military weapon of France. Contemporary design considerations and new-age materials used in the build for the FAMAS resulted in its futuristic appearance, much ahead of its time in the early 1970s. Housing a longer barrel thanks to its rear feeding bullpup configuration, accuracy, ergonomics, and firepower were enhanced while maintaining everything in a reasonably sized, highly maneuverable package. The gun is built upon a compact receiver and firing mechanism, allowing the entire rifle to be enclosed in a high strength polymer housing, reducing weight and enhancing durability. The FAMAS continues to be used to this day by various military forces around the world and remains to be one of the most iconic assault rifles in history.
The Soft Air Officially Licensed FAMAS-SV is a full sized heavyweight airsoft rifle with dimensions and cosmetics that keep true to the real thing. Boasting the same polymer style construction to its French counterpart, the Soft Air FAMAS retains realistic weight and full scale proportions that are unbeatable for the price. The gun fires at a competitive 320 to 390 FPS and 100 foot range with 0.12g BBs. Powered by a manual spring loaded firing mechanism, the Soft Air FAMAS takes advantage of the real FAMAS's large and ergonomic charging handle making loading and firing a breeze. The included upper and lower 20mm Picatinny rails enable you to mount a plethora of optics, grips, and accessories. There isn't a rifle out there for the price that can match the performance, realism, and value of the Soft Air FAMAS-SV.

"This rifle has lasted me longer than any other spring gun I've purchased/owned, about 2500 rounds spent and still going strong. Accurate/fast enough for backyard skirmishes. The rails over the carry handle are removable. The front barrel section also twists off and can be replaced with a suppressor or other mod. I used this separable barrel on another gun with the same threads. The casing cover can swap from the left to right side for either handed shooter just as on the real FAMAS.
Shortly put: A Great Buy For CQB-ing FAMAS Fans.
However, here are the issues I have encountered:
The rear iron sight is too small to be practical use; I usually push the iron sight all the way down and only use the front sight (which has worked surprisingly well) or used a scope. An alternative would be to simply drill a wider hole. After 3 & 1/2 years the pistol grip has started to separate from the body, though I just applied some oppoxe in the gap and it will probably be inseparable forevermore. Inside of the mag are inner mechanics like the spring/reservoir, which has come loose and so the bb's don't feed all the way up; the gun thus has to be cocked upside down, though this is only a resent problem after years of wear/tear, and I don't think there are spare mags for this. The charging/cocking lever does not fold down to the side like on the real FAMAS, it's one solid piece of plastic, which means you have to reach your fingers under the carry handle to cock the lever.
"For it's price, you definitely get your money's worth. Great for backyard skirmishes, casual shooting, or even an emergency secondary on the field (wouldn't recommend it, but it's serviceable).
-Charging handle is pull back
-Very accurate for a springer
-Relatively light weight (may be a con for some)
-Durable, can take a fall
-Rails for optics
-Rear sight is puny and can take some time to acquire target
-No spare mags, can't find any online
-2 BBs fall out when you remove the mag
-BBs can only be loaded through the included tube, or pushed in one by one
Overall, this is a great gun for beginners, and is definitely worth the price. It can be used almost like a bolt action, though the range isn't as great. Don't use the included BBs unless needed, it may jam your gun. I've gone through countless mags using high quality BBs and never once did it jam. This springer is perfect for those on a budget looking for a well performing gun ~
"this gun is a BEAST. ive had it for almost a year now. my favorite bullpup. heres are some pros and cons
Mag has a night feel and weight to it(high cap as well)
Body is tough and can take some falls
Hurts (FPS around 370 with .2's)
Safety is placed in front of trigger, can be conveninent.
Big trigger guard so you dont have to fumble with where the trigger is when your not looking
Has a nice feel to it/
Releasing the mag will cause 2 bb's to fall out.
Mag is difficult to reload with hands(Tube and stick as speedloader included)
Overall this gun is definately worth the money. I would recommend it to new airsofters who are lookiing for cheap but well performng springers.
