Matrix Handguard Folding Bipod for G36 Series Airsoft AEG Rifles
by Mike p. Date Added: May 14, 2010
This bipod was an easy fit and somewhat tricky install for a JG G36. The bipod on my G36 had a leg snap. No surprise, I'm sure that JG's materials are not exactly the world's finest. The stock pin is held in place by a retainer clip that was a bit tricky to get off - a regular screwdriver will not fit, but a jeweler's/eyeglass repair screwdriver did just fine. Use a little pressure on one part of the retainer clip to push it off, remove the stock pin, replace the bipod, replace the stock pin, put the clip back into place as best you can with needlenose pliers, and push it back in with the jeweler's screwdriver. It took about two minutes once I figured it out and it was more an exercise in getting the screwdriver in there.

The bipod feels a lot more solid and less flexible than the JG one. It snaps and locks into place cleanly. I think it'll do the trick just fine for my lovely MG36.
