||This is a pretty nice looking helmet, and it fits very snugly over my head. The description says it comes with another set of padding to adjust the fit, but my package did not have any other padding other than what was already installed in the helmet. It did come with 3 velcro patches with sticky backs, however.
Two of the velcro sets have sticky backing on both the patch that goes on the helmet and the patch that goes on whatever else you're sticking on. One patch is just the velcro fabric, so you can stick one side to your helmet but the fabric velcro piece can be sewn onto whatever else you need to stick on (like a cloth patch or some such).
My initial impression of the helmet is that it is very light, and the textures surface is actually quite slick. To hold my goggle straps in place I had to use one of the velcro patches on the back of the helmet, which adds enough friction to keep the straps from slipping up.
The actual plastic helmet shell is fairly thin and feels a little flimsy because I can flex it pretty easily, but its lightweight is a nice tradeoff. It is nowhere near as thick as my ABS PASGT helmet, just for reference.
The chinstrap is a dead simple nylon strap with plastic buckle, just like you'd find on any skating or bike helmet.
Open ear design allows me to hear better
Comes with 3 sets of velcro patches
Thin plastic feels flimsy (It does withstand BB hits when I tested it, but I hope it doesn't eventually crack)
Slick surface makes goggle straps slip pretty easily
Overall I would give this a 4/5. I would have given it a 3 for being average, but the inclusion of the velcro patches bumped it up one point for me.
I'm not sure if this is worth $45, but I think it does the job for protecting my head in CQB.
