JG Full Metal M16-VN Vietnam Airsoft AEG Rifle

"A well built rifle!
It's made of some pretty sturdy materials and feels really nice in the hands.
This gun has really nice range and the ROF is really nice as well.
It looks incredible realistic and looks even better with the steel flash hider that's recommended for it. The gun does what it's supposed to and does a really good job at that. JG has really improved over the years and has impressed me with this rifle.

"Great gun! I'm a huge fan of the M16 rifle. And when i bought this I wasn't disappointed. If you really like the classic feel of the Vietnam M16A1 then this is the gun for you.

Cons
1. Only 190 round mag (not really a problem if you have a 350 M4/M16 mag)
2. Cant mount anything on it really (But hey its an M16A1!)

"An amazing gun. i am very impressed with it. when i opened it up and pulled it out of the box i knew it was the start of something beautiful. i have owned many other guns but not one like this. its super easy to take apart but the stock is SUPER wobbly. and i definitly emphasize that. but nothing a 10 inch allen wrench cant fix. i just stuck it down into the stock and tightened it back up no problems. i bought the 5 mags to go along with it and all seemed to fit super snug and tight. kinda hard to take out but eh atleast i know they wont fall out and get lost while skirmishing. and the orange tip is like, they didnt want you to take that thing off at all costs like i had to melt the thing off and stick my black metal flash hider on there. all in all. powerful, reliable, beautiful. i love it. definitly 5 stars.

Pros:

-Does look like the vietnam M16 (dont hate on me, i think it looks like it. for you fine detail nuts)

-Love the bolt catch
-Feels sturdy
-Sights are beautiful

Cons;
-plastic feels somewhat flimsy (i dont care im not gunna go beat trees with it)
-Hard to get that orange tip off
-Wobbly stock (you definitly need to be ingenuic to fix it)
-No way this is a CQB weapon (not really a con, things a beast)


All in all... I recommend this thing all the way. it wont disappoint you. just treat it right and it will treat you right. Awesome gun, Awesome website. Evike for the win

"GREAT GUN!!!
I have to say im really impressed with this weapon. Out of the box on a cold day with a 9.6v it shot 393fps with .20 bbs at 12 RPS. The range i have to say is about 130~ before the bullets start going down. (.25)

Another thing to keep in mind is that the 190rd VN mags SUCK!! when you wind it it only holds like 10 to 15 bbs and you have to rewind. id recommend the 360rd M4 style mags.

hop up could be better
buckings might be slightly bad
cheaper metal than the KWA brands but its still very durable!
Orange tip is a pain to take off (for me at least)
Hard to change batterys on the fly (you have to take the butt plate off the gun in order to change batteries. (holds a 9.6v battery quite well)

"A fun little gun I’ve had for a few months the first time I used it I fell on it and broke the stock and at some point my semi auto broke. This gun obviously takes m4 style mags and the hop up is nice. I would not recommend this gun if you plan to use it on the field instead I would recommend a solid m4 as there is more part interchangeably if you break it. Otherwise it’s a great gun for plinking.

"I have used this gun 2 times within the past few months and the performance is adequate. I planned to use a round m16a2 handguard to make this rifle into a Panama Invasion m16, but it doesn't seem to take the 30 round m4 mags and only takes the short VN mags.

"I gotta say this guns pretty good it came to this or the Tokyo marui for $150 more and I’m glad I went with this one it’s not perfect but it’s pretty dang good. I had some trouble getting the m203 launcher and heat shield for my Scarface build on it but I think that had more to do with the launcher than the gun . This thing is shooting very accurate up to 30-35 yards and the fps is about 33-340. It looks great. The orange tip is extremely hard to get off. Biggest complaint is the the super hard trigger pull it requires I’m thinking something must be messed up on mine maybe cause the trigger feels like it’s about to snap off every time I fire.

"I just got this airsoft gun today and i love it. The build quality is good which is better then i expected. I have only had one problem with my airsoft gun is where my gun wont stop shooting after i let go of the trigger. I called my local airsoft store and they said it was not to hard to fix myself and i just have too bend to prongs, besides that the build quality is excellent and i love that they put thin foam inserts in the battery compartment so the battery stays snug and does not rattle.

"I really hope they don’t screw us over and keep pushing it back. I pre ordered this gun April 5th and they just delayed it back another month. It’s the perfect gun, all I need is that email notification saying it’s shipped.

"Pretty nice gun for the price. For $155 it's a great Vietnam piece. And externally the quality is great! I can't speak for internal quality as of yet being as I've only had it two or three days, but from taking a quick look at the gearbox, It looks to be of pretty decent quality. The hop up bucking and chamber though barely affected the gun. I changed it within the first 24 hours. But after that cheap upgrade its running great and shoots a lot better! Only other complaint is the motor is really loud. Better shimming is definitely needed, but nothing a few minutes can't fix. Externally the gun is pretty well 100% accurate to the Vietnam m16 minus the three prong flash hider. But that's minor. All the usually nit picked things about an m16a1 (attached carry handle, lack of brass deflector, tear drop forward assist, a1 motor grip, etc are all there on the jg. I was kinda shocked that they got it all right. And the metal is a decent quality aluminum body. Only complaint for me was that the very popular ef 140 round midcaps were too loose in the mag well and could be removed without pressing the mag release. Other than those few minor complaints I have to say the gun is very well made for its price and makes a darn good looking Vietnam era rifle.

"This gun seems pretty great, the gearbox sounds good, the receiver is pretty spectacular for the money, and there's only a slight amount of hand guard wobble. It also has a functioning bolt catch, which was a pleasant surprise.

That said, the supplied battery appeared to initially be of decent quality, but now less than a week after delivery and very limited use the battery is no longer lasting more than a few shots. This is being charged with a smart charger. My other batteries will operate the gun just fine, it's just the supplied battery that is dead.

Be warned that Evike has a specific warranty exclusion that states that the batteries supplied with guns are for "test" purposes only and will not be covered by warranty. There are other retailers who don't have this exception and I will personally be taking it into account before my next purchase. When a product is advertised with a warranty, I expect to mean the whole product, not just what the seller wants to warranty.

To be clear, I would give the gun 4.5/5 stars-its great for the money. The battery I got is a lemon.

Generally speaking Evike shipped my order quickly and the gun arrived in good packaging, but I'm feeling pretty burned by the lack of warranty coverage on the battery.

"This JG Works M16A1 is a solid gun for the money. It is full metal and is great for skirmishing right out of the box. The metal isn't quite as high quality as G&P or WE but is still nice. This AEG is good for anyone looking for a Vietnam era- Early 1990's rifle. It will do well for reenacting and replicating a M16A1 but it isn't completely accurate. Some things that are not correct for an M16a1 are the A2 buttstock(longer and shaped differently) tapered delta ring(should be circular) A2 lower receiver(different in shape) and lastly, even though it show it on here, mine does not have a bayonet lug. The front sight on the one I received does not have a bayonet lug, I will swap it for the one on my WE XM177 so it's ok for me. Overall this is a great gun for the price, it is a good upgrade platform and only needs a few things to make it a accurate replica.

"Middle Of The Road for me, Bought mine about 2 weeks ago, got it give or take 3 days ago, Great looking, and FEELING Rifle, However i did see several Draw-backs.

1. I Was not provided the listed hi-cap magazine, as seen in other's to contain,
2. Cleaning rod was not included,
3. Battery (not listed, but provided) Was not working in the rifle, and still has yet to work in it,
4. It shot 3 times after using another JG brand Battery (Same as provided), But never shot again, even after recharging for several hours, and being proven to work in another of my replicas,
5. Rifle has slight Magazine Wobble, Nothing severe enough to be a concern however,
6. Outer Barrel Rotates about 180 degrees if twisted one way or another (however is rather tight when rotated one way far enough)
7. Manual given was listen for M16a2/4, Barring little resemblance to the M16a1 it was packaged with.

Personally, as long as the same problems, regarding shooting, the magazine not being provided, and magazine wobble were to be negated, then i would definitely recommend this rifle to my friends, rather light considering mostly metal construction, and very easy to handle, and controls are quite intuitive.

However, if those concerns are not to be changed, Then i couldn't recommend this product to friends or family in good conscious

"So..I'm going to apologize now I'm using voice to text but I just received my rifle in the mail come to find out it is so i will probably have horrible grammer... but all plastic receiver full metal gearbox metal Barrel but the receiver is all plastic and I feel somewhat jipped for $189 but I will let it go cuz I want to shoot this thing...but otherwise Evike shipped fast and somewhat accurate..( not very considering their description was a full metal body)
