"So this is the Glock 42, which is a pretty decent replica of the subcompact firearm counterpart chambered in .380.
This little Glock is simply put, amazing in its compact design. The magazine is as equally impressive. It holds 9 bbs, but doesnt shoot them as well, as if you load only 5-6 bbs. Not sure why.
The slide is snappy, and smooth at the same time. The FPS isn't great, at around 280 F.P.S at best. Its accuracy is decent. Close quarters is the only way to use this gun. Would I use it in a game? Probably not. At best , it would be used as a ankle back up, in a kidnap hostage scenario at close range. Its reliability is O.K. at best. I dont want to bash Glock, or its product, because some other models are really great. (Glock 17 gen 4, 3, ect.)
The Glock 42 is more of a display piece, a collectors item, for those strong Glock followers and collectors. Its so fun to snap the slide back and forth....with a very strong spring . Its realism, and feel is almost dead nuts accurate in the looks of its sister counterpart.
Would I buy it if I didnt have one, absolutely! Its just so dam real looking. A great collector piece! ONe to have in the collection of your Glocks!!
