"works well for clearing fog from goggles but only on one side I got a second and fed the tubes through holes I cut one on each side of the goggles

"The Good: After adjusting it correctly, it does it's job "perfectly". It lasts many hours of straight gameplay, and takes either 3 or 4 AAA batteries. I will go on record to say that this fan, with or without the Revision Anti-Fog, is absolutely the ONLY thing to ever work for me. Most Sprays/Wipes/DIY methods will help deter fog only 10 minutes longer than without it at all, for me. I sweat A LOT, whether it's 30F outside or 90F outside. The Wipes worked the best for me, however instead of Fog it goes straight to WaterWall. Either way I'm essentially blind. The Fan however, keeps the visor both Dry and 100% the same temperature as the outside air... thus preventing Fog/Condensation buildup. It's pretty quiet too, but it's unlikely you'll hear footsteps if someone is trying to sneak up on you. I can still hear bbs rattling, gun parts, branches snapping, etc with the fan on though. I just can't hear people who sneak very quietly with the fan on... with it off I can hear them. I think most of the "noise" is actually vibration though, jumping around through my helmet. I can't actually hear the fan itself. So it could be my helmet's plastic shell is too thin and... well... that's my fault.

The Bad: No Velcro patches come with the power supply part, but it does come standard with the actual Fan.

The Ugly: So, there are some Tricks you have to perform if you want it to function as expected/desired. You can't just shove it anywhere into your helmet or goggles, for starters. The best setup I've found, is mounting the battery compartment on the back right or back left side of a FAST type Tac Helmet, then mounting the Fan on the Middle Right or Middle Left side. Then take the rubber tube, and run it into your goggles. The smartest thing to do, is measure how much hose you actually need, with half an inch to spare, and cut the rest off. SAVE IT just in case you need to reattach it. Loctite+Gorilla Tape will ensure it stays on there and with no leak if you do reattach it. Now what matters, is where the end of that hose is pointing and sitting in the goggles. I took one of the vents in the top right of my goggles(aligning the pack/fan/tube all to the rightside for me) and made it wide enough to have a snug hold on the tube, but not pinch it or reduce airsflow. I shoved the tube in, and with the way it wrapped around my helmets front edge and the direction it came from, it pointed directly at the lens forcing all of the air to slightly right of the middle of the lens. It stays 100% dry at all times, no matter how much I sweat. I can have a small shallow puddle of sweat in my goggles, and they'll otherwise stay 100% clear.

Overall: I don't regret buying this one bit. It does it's job very well. Yes, it does take a smidgen of tinkering, but if you refuse to tinker or just can't, you probably shouldn't be playing Airsoft. Everything requires some finesse at some point.

If you don't mount it right, it won't work to it's maximum efficiency. When you do mount it right, it's pretty amazing.

"Wow! This is an amazing product and a must have for any hardcore airsofter in need of an affordable yet outstanding goggle fan! To start off ill begin by telling you how I mounted it and then go from there. So basically the only way to mount this the easiest is to have it placed on a helmet. I don't really see any other way it could be mounted. I was able to attach the velcro it came with to the back of my helmet for the battery pack and then the actual fan to the side of the helmet, and then run the straw into my Arena FlakJak's. The straw can get in your way of vision so I recommend cutting it but don't cut it to much because you still want it to run well into the goggle, just out of your line of sight. I haven't actually used this in full combat yet but i used it in some training exercises with all my gear on and I was blown away!(no pun intended) I sweat a lot with my helmet, goggles, and face mask on and even though i was still sweating, there was absolute 0% fogging! I'm more than impressed with this fan so bottom line, get it guys its worth the price you pay by far!

"Good little anti-fog fan, it works as intended. I have used it in the spring/early fall when temperatures start to drop and my goggles fog up after just a couple of minutes. They de-frost my goggles within a minute or two at the most. So far the only issues I have had is that the fan is pretty loud, and the wires on the battery pack are pretty poorly soldered, I had to resolder the positive wire on the battery pack for 2x of these fans.

"Nice little fan. Does its job very well. If you put the tube in the right spot, you will have no fog at all. I played with it today in the woods, mid 80s, and a lot of humidity, and I had no fogging.
The fan isn't very loud for other people, but strapped on your helmet it seems pretty loud. It makes it harder to hear other people walking around in a match.

Pros:
No fogging
Long battery life (4+ hours)

Cons:
Wiring seems fragile
Loud-ish

"I bought one of these last year. I never got around to using it, i didn't have much time to play airsoft. I recently was able to put it to use and let me tell you. This fan is great! It is a little on the loud side, when right next to your head. However, not having ANY fog what so ever,is a reasonable and welcome trade. I am big guy and I sweat a lot, doing nothing, lol. This fan has fixed that problem. The fog,not the fat, lol. I will say that after only messing with it for a few hours and only fielding it once,it did break.the wire connection from the batpack to the fan got looses near the fan itself. I just taped it into a kink and it is working fine. This could have happened in storage or from me simply mishandling it. Nevertheless, I am buying a new one today to keep as backup. If you are tired of fog,get this fan. Period. The "Y" extension was totally useless for me. the Y itself is far to bulky and I couldn't get it to fit with all my other headgear in a comfortable, practical or useful way. so you may want to steer clear of it. 4/5 for questionable wiring.

"Two of my friends use this fan for airsoft and they say it works great! It keeps them fog free in even the most humid games. It only emits a slight amount of air so that its quiet and efficient. The construction is a little cheap but it works extremely well after each game my friends tell me to get one.

"This fan system is AMAZING I personaly love it I run a mich 2001 I mounted it to my Velcro and used the fasteners to attach the battery housing to my side rail on my 2001 the best thing is the fan counter waited my midland XTC (camera) and Mage my helmet a more stained platform so with that said mount it in a place where it won't throw off the balance of your helmet. I only had one MAJOR problem the wiring is BAD. It completly pulled out of the fan unit... I used it rigurosly for 9 1/2 months two or three times a month. So I am purcising another one right now. So if I'm purchasing another one that must mean it's AWESOME!

"This fan works fantastic. I was able to squeeze the tube into my goggles and point it right where it needed to go. I did a mil-sim game a couple of weeks ago, and they ran the entire day (The batteries did need to be replaced by the end of the day, however. Just an fyi if you're playing non-stop for 8+ hours and never shut it off, you'll need to replace the batteries each day)

My only gripe is that the wiring is crappy. I ended up having shorts in the wire. I tried to take it apart and put fresh wires on it, but ended up breaking the housing in the process. If you're going to just mount it to a helmet and never move it again, you're probably golden. I was moving it between my Infantry Setup (Helmet) to my Sniper Setup (Boonie with ghillie suite setup) which probably was the downfall of the wiring.

"This works amazingly! I use a save phace grunt series and I still fog. This makes it not fog at all! This is a great investment. If you have fogging problems, get this!

"Did not provide much airflow, or at least what I expected. I am not sure how well this would work for the average sweater, but as one who sweats a lot, I don't think my purchase was justified.

"Really nice idea and good components, but really bad quality.

The wires in the battery case just snaps off without effort, this because this is cheaply pre made.
These weak points needs to be re-soldered for this to work, and if you can solder; the components are way cheaper to buy separate.

I bought 2 of these, both with this problem. Im thankful for Evike´s effort to reinforce the 2 sent to me after i complained, but to no use.

Second problem: the hose loosens after a few uses due to bad glue that dont combine well with the material of the hose.

"I didn't even get to play one game with it, I attached it to my helmet, put the tube inside my goggles, the fan was weak and barely cleared any fog and when trying to adjust it, the wire came off the the battery pack, I was even being careful with it!
by JJ G. on 02/17/2021
"DO NOT BUY. Used for CQB airsoft today and it was terrible. It is cheaply made. The wire popped out and you have to jiggle it to make it work properly, the tube is too short, and it is made out of super cheap plastic. If you want a fan system than buy an expensive one, this didn't even last 1 full, 6 game session. It doesn't blow hard enough either, it is super mellow and takes a few minutes for it to work. It only clears one side when it decides to work. Again, DO NOT BUY THIS.

"Wiring was horrible. Will have to remove battery box and solder in a lipo to work. Tubing is a pain to use but with effort can be routed.
