"just have to say the externals are well built. internals are good except the gearbox it will not hold up a m120 or higher. the gearbox broke from the front pushing the nozzle and cylinder head against my hopup unit which also broke into pieces. great gun just that g&g needs to make reinforce gearboxes. gun will work flawless if you leave it alone. do not upgrade it.
has good range
rps 17 11.1 lipo
shoots 350fps

needs to put reinforce gearbox
metal hopup.

I put a kwa gearbox now shooting 400fps 24bbs per second. with lipo11.1v
but lost the blowback function and spring tension release.
ill give it 4 stars since it did work to specifications before modifications.

"Alright, so the TR 4-18 is manufactured by Top Tech, sister company to G&G. Newest production runs are made of Magnesium which cuts down on weight without sacrificing structural strength while the rail is made of machined aluminium. Overall the gun isn't too hefty but sound and sturdy nonetheless. The tan finish is nice and the offsetting black of the barrel, sight, ect. are nice and give it a clean and sleek look. This gun comes with the functioning bolt catch and and blowback feature. I own the TR-16 A3 and the blowback sounds nice but a little tinny sounding, the 4-18 sounds a bit more beefy, almost like the TM Recoil Shock 416. This gun comes stock with a 6.03 tightbore and a G&G Green hop up unit, so range and grouping is phenomenal. The rate of fire isn't bad, not as much as a VFC or G&P but still sufficient on a 9.6v 1600 mah battery, around 13-15 rps at an fps at around 347 on mine. Is it worth $400 dollars? Without a doubt, Top Tech is definitely my go to AEG brand. You wont find a better performer out of the box.
