"Owned the gun for around a year and for $175 you're getting a solid machine. This is not a day one review, I've put a few thousand rounds through it and played at multiple fields.

Pros: Nails the big ones
-Easy access to hop up
-Spring decompression system on bolt release switch
-solid range
-good accuracy
-flip up sights
-takes M4 mags and not mag picky

Cons: Bothers me on some little things
-Location of mag release has caused some issues on the field
-Rear pins got kinda loose, never became an issue but bothered me a bit
-somewhat of an awkward gun to hold and use, definitely not the smoothest weapon platform
-stock fire rate could leave some more to be desired
-tight battery space

All in all I would certainly recommend this gun. Had no issues at all with it working and i played in some dusty areas.

"Had this for a few months now and it still serves its purpose well, just wish I could find more replacement parts. Can't complain with the power, shoots about 350-380 fps after messing around with different weights of ammo. (use .20g for range/ .25g for impact) After some weather wear from dust, there might be a slight issue with the magazine feed, but with semi-maintenance its not too big an issue. Uses JG m4 mags in case you need to find spares. Great battery efficiency with a 9.6v, (take your pick on whatever brand) lasts a whole day of action. Rail isn't much to work with but I don't prefer a lot of attachments on a bullpup rifle, basic red dot is fine enough. Not much else to consider about this gun other than the lack of replacement pieces. For tinkers this gun is interesting to experiment with so long as you aren't using anything too strong.

P.S. - Really would like to find other external pieces to replace on this gun like iron sights and charging handles.

"It's a pretty good gun, I feel right in the middle of great and terrible.

Its got 345 FPS, which for a C.Q.B environment (What a bullpup's pretty much made for; tight corners etc.) is just about perfect. Its a semi cheap gun, but I can vouch for it. Me and my friends have had crosmans for 4 years that just broke like...a year ago. All of the crosmans we had were 120 dollar guns and they lasted us 4-5 years. This gun for 175, it'll last you; or it should, last you longer then that. Its not the best quality, nor is it pushing 300 dollar quality, like I feel alot of experienced airsofters are used to. They compare this to a 300 dollar gun and yeah; it cant compare. Its budget airsoft.

As fair as the one metal piece it comes with, the M4 magazine is weird. It fits the Tavor perfectly and fit in my Stag Arms M4, scratching a lil paint off the magazine, however it refuses to fit in my Echo1 416.

I would recommend 2 things when buying this gun. Get the $15 alluminum rail kit, it replaces the ABS rail and gives you a side rail, balances out the gun a lil more. Also keep in mind due to how low the irons & rail are, you will need a raised optic if you intend on wearing lower face protection.

And Yes, it is ABS, but like I said, Me and my friends have had crosmans last us 4-5 years. Crosman plastic is definitely a lower standard then this ABS, you'll be fine.

ON ANOTHER NOTE!! The video for this says it has an ABS gearbox and said there would be a "Metal gearbox version". The one I ordered came WITH a metal gearbox. I dont really know whats up with that, but I figured it was worth mentioning.

I havent fielded mine yet so I will update this when I do.

"The gun is pretty good. Unlike the description says, it comes with an 8.4 1100 mah battery and a cheap charger, which I would recommend replacing. It has a metal outer barrel, and everything that is metal on the real tar is metal, except for the top rail. FPS is about 330 with .2 g bbs for me. The bolt catch is metal, and also shows the hop up while releasing spring tension. When you have the front and rear sight flipped up, it's hard to use if you have a hat or mask, so I only use the front sight. The rof is decent or slightly good, like 12 RPS with a 9.6 and 18 with my lipo.

Pros:
Cqb legal fps
Good external build
Actually comes with a battery and charger
Bolt catch sounds good and releases spring tension
When battery is installed, it isn't back heavy like other bullpups
Looks way cooler than augs (might be a con for LOSERS)
Rof is better than most bullpups
Accurate at a distance (up to 120 feet)
Quick change spring gearbox and easy gearbox access
Gearbox has metal bearings

Cons:
Small battery compartment (won't fit my 1000 mah lipo without lots of adjustment)
Rear sight a bit hard to look through
Weird to wind a hi cap mag
Mags that didn't come with gun have a bit of wobble and the mag that it does come with fits very tight
Can't mount any slings unless you buy sling mounts

Overall, I give it a 4.5 out of 5, but that isn't an option. Compared to other bullpups, it's small and compact. (Unlike the 12 pound aug) The internals are also better than most bullpups at the price for having a quick change spring and 8mm metal bushings. If you want something other than a m4 or ak, or just want a bullpup, I reccomend it compared to other bullpups.

"This was a disappointment. Lets face it, guns under 200$, you can't expect much (unless it's side arms). Usually the only good primary field rifle under 200 are sniper rifles. AEG's under 200 are known to have a max effective range of maybe 100-150 feet. Same goes with this gun. Effectively you can fire 100-150 feet. With hop up yes this can reach 200 feet, maybe even 250 feet, but past 150 feet you are basically lobbing a 10 foot or wider grouping at them. So you're lucky if 1 in 50 rnds hit the target.

When I got this gun I planned to have it converted to a polarstar. Long story short a lot of the "pro polorstar techs" refuse to do tavors because they are a pain to set up due to the custom gearbox. They will however do the new Wolverine xlt.

My biggest issue with this is that it's not close to real steel. I ordered a custom aircraft aluminum hand guard, made for the real steel tar-21, and it doesn't fit. The fitting on this rifle is too wide, too short, and the screws it would set into, are actually fake screws. So i'm trying to find someone local that has the Ares version, to see if it would fit on that one.

Internally this thing is a nightmare for upgrades. Even the simplest of upgrades (inner barrel, motor, hop up) are a pain to get to. Each and all basically include taking majority of the gun apart, including a good bit of the gearbox. There is no "cheap and simple" upgrades in this gun. it's not like an M4 that you can just switch a barrel out in 3 minutes, a motor in 3, a hop up in 5. Each will take considerably longer.

Also I use KWA pmags. I used to use them on m416 and had to cut a little bit off the front of them to fit. They fit into this magwell, but slip out. While i'm wondering if maybe the part I cut out is what's making it slip it, i'm pretty sure the part that the mag clip hits isn't tall enough. So be aware this might not work with many M4 mags.

Honestly if you are just starting airsoft and looking for a cheap starter gun, I would recommend heading towards a M4. I used to love m4's, now I hate them considering everyone and their grandma has an M4 or M4 variant, but they are the most straight forward to upgrade, cheapest to upgrade, and have the most variety of upgrades.

I would only recommend this gun in CQB environments. Field, a good player that knows how to sneak, stalk, and choose his shots carefully, can still make kills with this, but otherwise, spend more for a better rifle, or get a sniper rifle.

"I have owned this model Tavor for close to a month now. The performance is pretty good, but does not have the same range as my Ares G36. The battery compartment is a tad small, but more than enough to fit my MadBull LiPo. The gun is indeed difficult to take apart, highly recommend that this be done by a pro if you are not very proficient. The Ares quick change spring feature lets you change the FPS of the rifle in as little as two minutes, allowing for incredible game flexibility.

I have decided to upgrade the internals, as the piston is not very sturdy and a want to juice as much performance as I can from this little big gun.

Pros:
* rock solid externals
* awesome performance out of the box
* Ares quick change spring feature
* Unique looks on the field

Cons
* difficult to take apart
* small battery compartment
* gearbox and hop-up are one unit
* known for some problems with weak piston and air seal

Overall:
One of my favorite rifles. I recommend it to anyone who has the skill to use it and the patience to tweak it right.

"So I picked this gun up for my brother a week ago, straight out of the box it seemed pretty nice. It has a good weight and looks pretty cool.

However, when we were taking the gun out to zero his red dot, we noticed a problem with the mid-caps we got. He slapped a mag in, and as he stood up to head outside the mag slid right out of the magwell and onto the ground.

Now this is not a problem for the Hi-cap mag that came with the gun. The problem seems to be with the little tab on top of the mag that houses the spring that keeps the bbs in the mag. The little tab on the mid-caps was longer than the one on the hi-cap.
(The mid-caps i bought were the Matrix 120rd Metal mid-caps)

As long as you take a close look at that tab on the mags you're going to buy you should be fine.

Also, you have to get really low on the weapon to see though a normal red dot or your iron sights. If you are wearing a full mask, it is impossible to use sights on this gun (iron or otherwise). You will either have to get a rail riser, or a sight with a cantilever mount.

Pro's
-Feels Solid
-Bolt locks back for hop-up access

Con's
-Pain to use with full mask
-Less of a selection of Mags

If you have to wear a mask, I would give it a 3/5
Otherwise a 4/5

"This is a very good gun. Don't believe what these other guys are saying when they say its bad. The only thing wrong with this gun is there is a little to much plastic. Other than that the gun is a CQB beast as well as a field beast. I would indeed recommend this gun to all who are looking into airsoft.

Pros
M4 Mags!
Hop up is easy to get to.
Metal Gearbox unlike the old ones.
Its at the fps limit for CQB at my field.
Cheap price for performance.
Its bullpup my favorite.

Cons
Plastic Flip up sights. Suggest buying some kind of Red Dot
Its not that heavy. I prefer a heavy weapon. You may not thats just my opinon.

"I got this out of a mystery box and I have to say I'm impressed. Like the other review said, there is a noticeable seam along the gun, but it is only visible if you are within 5 feet of it. The top rail also wiggles a bit, but is not so bad as to where I'm upset. Also, mine has a small burr mark from molding on the underside of the gun, but that isn't visible and I'm pretty sure it is not on every model that gets out.

Other than that, this gun is amazing. Mine only has the CQB range, and I would not use it for field gaming, but a new right bore barrel will do wonders on this gun. Also, mine is shooting a bit hot at 370 fps, and with the new barrel performs better than any other gun in this price range, especially a Combat Machine, (which I have and have compared it to head to head). I am able to fit a 9.6 volt nunchuk battery in it, although it haut fits. This gun also has a functioning bolt catch and decocker, something I just stumbled upon and very pleased with. However, if you have a full face mask the iron sights are too low, but I don't use them because I don't like the rear sight at all, but that's just a personal preference. It is a simple fix if you have a red dot, or I took an M4 rear sight and with that on the iron sights are useable. Also want to mention it has full Tavor trade marks.

Pros:
Best out of any other gun in price range
Very nicely textured metal body
Accurate
Quick-change spring system
Functioning bolt catch and spring decompresser
Can fit a 9.6 nunchuk
Full trades
You get so much more than what you pay for with the internals

Cons:
Shoots hotter than 350 (not really a con just not what I was expecting)
For field, range leaves a lot to be desired
Wobbly top rail/piece
Bad rear sight
Seam
Small molding mark underneath
You get what you pay for with the body

"Ok... This one has the METAL GEAR BOX... as soon as I opened the package I was like "darn... toy-ish plastic"... but I had it anyway, so I picked it up, shouldered it, and hmmm... "this actually feels nice!!!" Very snug, tight fit!! I shot it at my home "range" at 50 feet... HOLY SMOKES!!! Accurate!! Didnt even need to zero the weapon!! this is due to the long inner barrel, Bullpup config. Then I went to Full Auto and the rate of fire was NICE!! I do have to say that a certain smell of hot electronics, or frictioned plastic emerged from the But-Stock at the height of the motor. But, it didnt affect the gun at all.... so I tried to see how much it could handle... I squeezed the trigger on Auto for about 30 secs.... the smell got a little stronger, but the gun kept going!! Eventually, the smell went away. I found myself REALLY liking this BEAST!!

Took it to the arena, and heads turned... "Whoa! Is that the TAVOR?" People had the same reaction as I did... ended up really liking the weapon after shouldering it, and the firing is reliable and pretty rapid! The game began, and my MIRK SESSION commensed!! The gun was VERY reliable, perfect for CQB, and found myself shooting one handed at times!! I LOVE THIS GUN!!! I wish there were more upgrades for it!!! Like a replacement body or something!!

Pros:
- reliable fire
- Good fire rate on auto
- Good trigger response time
- ACCURATE
- Snug fit and feel (makes you WANT to fire)
- Quick Change Spring!! (sweet!)
- M4 MAGZZ!!
- Able to shoot one handed
- Easy Battery fit
- Light weight, very maneuverable.
- perfect for CQB
- Very good METAL internals!! (which is what REALLY counts!)
- ITS DIFFERENT!! Which is what I wanted! I did NOT want an M4... EVERYONE has one!! grrrr!

Cons:
- Toy-ish plastic body, I took the shine off with a light astringent.
- limited external upgrades
- very little rail space

OVERALL, Great gun!!! for the money??! At the end of the day, whats a Nice looking gun with crappy internals?? This gun is deceiving at first, but once you shoulder and fire it, your feelings will change.
GET THIS GUN!! Happy Shootin!!

"I borrowed a Tavor from a friend once. And since I already had so many M4 mags it made it an easy transition. It was one of the easiest CQB games I ever played and it is very easy to manuever. Although I would put some type of HOLO/Reflex sight on it.

Pros--most

Cons--rubber buttplate and everything around it gets chewed up and I cant find replacement parts

Why did Evike say that its from HALO? It says so in the title. This gun doesnt exist in any part of that game!
by Beverly Lynn B. on 02/12/2023
"PROS:
Compact
Accurate
Decent for CQB
Metal Gearbox for better durability
Somehow able to hold a nunchuck 9.6v 1200 battery
Great Battery space
Quick change spring system
Should be able to upgrade all the parts of the gearbox

CONS:
Rear Heavy as expected
Made from Polymer but does have some ABS plastic
Terrible Rate of Fire
Confusing Rear iron sight
Long trigger pull

Overall: Decent gun BUT if you are planning to spam the ABSOLUTE LIFE out of this gun, do upgrade it. I've had this thing's gearbox lock up on me way too much. The Durability I would say is pretty good. I slammed into a couple of wooden walls and it just got some of the paint scraped off despite the handguard being plastic instead of polymer.
