So, I bought this NVG mount so I could dress up my MICH 2001. I thought it was just some cheap plastic, but was surprised that it was metal. It has a good weight to it, but the only bad thing about it is the mounting screws. They are a bit longer then needed, but I fixed that by putting a few bushings between the screw and helmet on the inside so that the screw wouldn't stick out of the NVG mount. The mount is curved correctly to the helmet and there were no scratches on it. The coloring is spot on with OD green.
