I have to admit, I love these new lancer guns! The purpose of this gun is to get a moderately upgraded gun right out of the box without spending over $200 like you would with other "sportline" models. If you can look past the plastic internals, you will find a solid gearbox with upgrades already installed. They put a 6.03 tight bore barrel installed already and couple that with an upgraded M120 spring and a few other little things in the gearbox so that you can be competitive on the battlefield for $100 or less. The cheap externals actually hold up pretty well.
