Madbull x Daniel Defense RIS Handguard for L85 Airsoft Rifles

"This was bought to fit on my ICS L85 Carbine with the adapter.
It does not fit ICS L85 carbines and I had to do a lot of modification to make it fit.

Pros
Looks sleek on the gun
Has lots of space
Rails aren't sharp

Cons
Heavy, especially with attachments
Very limited space to fit a battery (got a PEQ)
Does not fit ICS L85 carbine even with adapter

Overall it is a very good RIS and my problems were derived from using a gun not meant for the system, would highly recommend as it looks much better on the gun and is more optimal than the polymer handguard.

"Bought to fit a G&G L85A2 ETU.

While the handguard does fit the ETU model G&G must have changed something in the production of that model where the handguard will not fit flush to the receiver of the gun and the screw that fixes into the bottom of the handguard (near the trigger guard) cannot be inserted as the holes aren't aligned. To fix this, I've had to dremel away some material on that part of the handguard.

The screw is now secured into the adapter block (included with rail) and it's fixed on there solid HOWEVER there is a 2mm gap between the receiver and the handguard. While is doesn't affect functionality, it just doesn't look right.

To remedy this there are two options, dremel away MORE material from the bottom screw hole as well as the sling loop area or make a small spacer to take up that 2mm of space.

"PLEASE READ! Evike needs to update the description on this. I bought this for my G&G L85 ETU, which is technically the version 2 of the G&G L85. This rail still does fit, but it does not fit flush. There is a large visible gap between my receiver and the rail, and this is due to the adapter piece no longer sliding into the proper position because G&G changed something in that area of the gun that causes it to be off by about an inch, but an inch makes a big difference here. From a distance you cannot tell though, and the rail still is very secure on the weapon. My main reason for docking this two stars is because I messaged G&G, Evike, AND Madbull about this, and I didn't get a single response, not one. Very disappointed in the customer service regarding this problem. If you're putting this on an ICS with the adapter it should still fit fine, but if you have the ETU version G&G just be aware that this rail is no longer a one piece fits all solution unfortunately.
