"Awful gun, the base price tag is set to $250 and it goes down to $99 on the Epic Sale time thing. I bought the gun for $99 and it feels just slightly better than one you would buy at Walmart. The front end is INSANELY unstable, you can move it about 1/4 of an inch to the left or right depending on how you hold it.
The internals are the worst internals I have ever seen. The barrell is some cheap almost plastic tube, the bushings are just one solid piece of crappy plastic, and the rest where not even worth the time to look at.
The externals of the gun are okay, not amazing though. The receiver is another flimsy plastic that feels like is going to fall apart in your hand, the stock is held on by a 1' bolt that is impossible to put back in if you take it off, and the charging handle does not release the dust cover half of the time.
+ You have an airsoft gun
- You paid $100-250 for it
- All the internals are extremely cheap
- Handguard is EXTREMELY unstable
Overall I would suggest that you do NOT get this gun, it has no potential for upgrades or cool addons because you will be spending all your money fixing all the other broken stuff on this gun. When you hold the gun it feels like you are holding a $5 springer from Big5. Just save the money for any other gun. "I really love this Classic Army Bushmaster M16. I have bought 2 classic army rifles now, and I definitely see myself buying another in the future. I used the rifle at TAC City and a couple outdoor games (had it for about a month), and it performed excellently.
Effective Range is fair with .25s (125+ ft.)
Accuracy is great (I can get a headshot from about 85-100ft.)
I absolutely love the handguard (Nicest feel out of any I have ever held).
Battery compartment is large
Magwell is tight (slight wobble with Classic Army magazine, no wobble with MAG brand magazines)
Licensing is always a nice feature
Rate of fire is about 18 with an 8.4v, and 23-25 with 9.6v battery
Quiet (It is difficult to to hear this gun from 100ft away, which is good if you play outdoors\woodland).
No iron sights (I personally like this so that the sights don't get in the way of a scope).
The battery it comes with (8.4v 1300 may NiMH) is not that great.
Hop-up is okay (does not work too well)
Hard to clean handguard (since it is serrated, it is hard to get dirt out).
Difficult to open battery compartment.
My entire bolt assembly broke and so now the bolt doesn't pull back anymore (does not affect the function of the gun though).
I dropped the gun and the stock split in a bunch of places, so I am still questioning the overall durability of the rifle. Everything but the stock though was still perfectly fine from the impact. "Alright, so I got this gun last week for a DMR base. It's a pretty good gun, but there are cons as well as pros to it.
FULL metal front assembly
Its got great looks to it
Good ROF (18 +/-)
Hits hard (Headshot first day and he started bleeding at about 40 yards)
Fairly accurate without a scope
FPS is more less than what is listed... more like 310 with .20's
Range out of the box failed to impress because I could barely hit a target at 40 yards
Performance with a scope sucks, even with it sighted in correctly, the BB's are going all over. Without a scope on, however, I can easily hit longer range targets.
I really like this gun. If you're looking to get it and have money for upgrades, get this rifle and a 6.03 tightbore as it triples the range, a magnum motor, a M130 spring, and maybe a new gearbox. Definitely go for that 100% air seal, too. It does become a truly amazing gun after simple upgrades. Recommended to any new player or advanced players looking into the DMR role. "Terrible gun. Awful gun. Out of the box, did not work. The front of the gun moves around. A lot. If you were to hit something, with the front of this gun, it would bend and wreck in inner barrel. The hop-up was about the junkiest I've ever encountered. Really, this is just not a good gun at any price. And I paid $100 for it. Save your money. Get a ICS, G&P or a KWA, just avoid this gun. "I didn't buy this gun my friend bought it but what Jose said above is wrong and caused me to recomend the wrong bushings to him the bushings are 6mm not 7mm
functions great when upgraded
plastic spring guide
low quality gears
seemed like a 100 spring (depends if thats a con to you)
comes with no sights
over all nice gun for the price it will work if you plan to run it stock and it will also perform great if you upgrade it just have to get a few parts for it. The range I got out of it with a few mods and angel custom 6.01 455m was around 225 accurately just fix the compression with teflon tape mods or get a double o ring cylinder head for it and depending on how it fits in there you can see if you need to teflon tape it or not. "This is a legit gun. It has a very nice feel to it and the cnc hand guard is very comfortable. The only down side to this gun though is that the gearbox internals are horrible. They are made for speed rather then power so if you want to make it into a DMR your going to need to change out all the internals. Another thing too is the bushings in the gearbox are plastic. If you want a example of how to make it a DMR here is my set up.
