"Love the weight and feel of the real wood reoading the gas is a let down on the power but it works wonders for what im using it for
by Alain Y. on 05/17/2022
"Worked perfectly out of the box for maybe 40 bbs until the internals locked up. Fixed it by spraying the inside with a bunch of silicon lubricant and it works well now. If your replica stops cycling bbs try lubricating all the moving parts before throwing it into the junk pile.

"So far its been good. Not too great but not too bad. It showed up and out of the box it felt crisp. Feels pretty solid for its complexure. Shoots reasonable straight out of the box no adjustments. The action is smooth and crisp every time without fail. And yes, you can easily rack the rifle terminator style. When you do action the rifle it feels like it is loose but that's fine, most lever action rifles feels like that its just their nature. Some cons about the gun are very few and far between. The bands that hold the rifle together some of them were loose and had to be tightened. The brass but plate was loose and had to be tightened. The sight was loose and has to be slightly tightened. The sight feels delicate but that's just because its a smaller rifle. Major parts that were screwed in like the trigger group were fine.

~Pros~
- Crisp
- Well made (for A&K)
- Shoots straight
- Can do the funny RDR action
- Solid Bolt assembly

~Cons~
- Loose parts (can be fixed)
- Rear sight delicate (it is what it is)

"I got this gun far Christmas and I love it. I got the fake wood version of the gun (160$ version) and it looks amazing. Looking closely at the gun I noticed only 1 part of it being a little chipped but it was on the stock and isn't even really that big of a deal. And the metal is very smooth and nice. The gun is very solid, honestly I feel like if I were to throw it off of my roof it would still be in perfect condition. (No one should do that though because it's dangerous) I have pretty much no complaints about the gun besides 2 things.

1. Loading it is a pain in the rear but after a few times with trial and error you'll figure it out

2. Finding an Allen Wrench to adjust the hop up is
nearly impossible

It's all pros from here

1. It's beautiful

2. It's quiet when shooting (if your anything like me and love shooting your airsoft guns in the back yard but are constantly scared of someone hearing it and thinking that it's a real gun then this gun has you covered because when it shoots it is QUIET

3. It is extremely accurate and shoots far

"Really impressed with this gun well worth the money but the only problem I have is I can't get it to stop leaking gas from the fill valve and inside the gun

"This rifle actually surprised me! I had braced myself for the worst with the relatively small price tag (I only paid 140$ for this) and the dodgey description. I was afraid that I'd be getting a cheap-wood plastic rifle with a metal barrel and absolutely no balance. That is NOT what I got-- I got above and beyond what I could've hoped for!

Pros:
+ Full metal construction (Barrel, receiver, lever, sights.. everything.)
+ Full, real wood (The color of the wood put me off at first, but it actually accents the dark metal nicely. It is as pictured.)
+ Easy, smooth cycling action via the lever as well as a small flap in the side where the bullet would've been inserted on a real-life model
+ True-to-life size and weight-- very lightweight and easy to handle, but still evenly weighted!

Cons (notable concerns and descriptions)
- Flimsy flip-up adjustable sight. Had to adjust it quite a bit with a screwdriver and some glue to get it to stop wiggling, wobbling and spinning.
- All the moving parts are painted black, even on the inside. This means that the gun looks great initially, but after even the lightest of use, the paint on areas (such as the lever, hammer, and the action on the top of the receiver) will begin to wear. This is unavoidable on most guns, of course, but I had expected the inside of the gun (where all the moving parts are) to be weathered differently.
- The foregrip of the rifle wobbled when I received it. I had to put glue on the inside to secure it, but it's given me absolutely no problems since!
- "MADE IN CHINA" *painted* onto the bottom of the lever. So much for replica accuracy..

Overall, I cannot recommend this rifle enough for anyone who wants a historical "replica"-style target rifle. It's not very handy for skirmish use but it's a DREAM for what I bought it for (Display + Reenactment cosplay)

"Bought this a few weeks ago, solid gun few negatives though,
Cons:
-Stock is hollow so the gun is front heavy, can be fixed because the brass plate at the back can be removed and a few weights can be inserted.
-Lever is a bit wobbly
pros:
-Very powerful gun, shoots around 390-430FPS with .40's
-with one full reload of gas you can fire two loads of bb's (50 rounds)

Probably one of the coolest guns I've ever seen or used on the field, very good gun, very reliable.
by Jefferson R. on 01/17/2016
"Awesome gun! And a ton of fun to use. My only issue is the one I received had a bent internal barrel so it fires to the right consistently.
Pros:
1. Great FPS
2. Good Range
3. Looks amazing
4. Holds a ton of gas

Cons:
1. Bent Barrel (Probably just mine)
2. Feels kinda wobbly
3. Hard to use at a distance due to a lack of a scope

Definitely want to get this one!

"This is one sweet rifle. I rock this thing on my back for certain situations when I need a little extra range that my AK won't provide. FPS is solid - very solid. The bbs whizz past with a whistle. It's a little terrifying. It's pretty silent, the loudest part is the lever action, and even that can be operated slowly and quietly. In the right cover with a ghillie, you can shoot at people 15 yards away and they would have no idea where the shots are coming from (assuming they lived long enough to realize they were being shot at).

My hop up works very well and it's a very accurate rifle. With .4's there is no left or right flight path, only up or down depending on how the hop up is adjusted. Get it dialed in and you will hit your mark from 150 yards out with no problem.

Really the only negative things I've experienced are the finish on the wood and (admittedly my fault) the gas fill nozzle in the front of the magazine. While the finish is pretty, it is a much lighter tone than any 1892 I've ever seen; it also scratches off easy - almost like something from ikea. No affect on performance, purely aesthetical.

The gas fill nozzle I was being a bit of a dumdum and filled it at an angle and broke a little tiny piece that holds the gas in. Other gas fill vales for other rifles are cheap enough, but I don't know if they're compatible, and I can't seem to find a fill valve specific for the 1892 anywhere - which is sort of another negative - little aftermarket support for this rifle. But that's alright. I love this thing, just need to find another fill valve.

"I picked this gun up because I couldn't find the Bravo version. After seeing a few reviews, I was fairly nervous about the quality; I heard that it had a bit of wobble, and one or two reviewers said that theirs leaked. After receiving my Matrix 1892, I can put those worries to rest. My gun is rock solid, and has no leaks whatsoever. I am absolutely in love with this weapon for what it is, and that's a good, old-fashioned, fun time!

Pros:
Lever action (!)
Gas powered
Plastic stock and handguard look like the real deal
Solid construction from solid metal
24 rounds, great for a sniper

Cons:
Reloading is not going to be easy, if at all possible
Lever action has a stiff spring to move the loader, will hurt backs of fingers with extensive use
Plastic has visible seams
Saddle ring can be loud against the side of the receiver

To be honest, the cons are mostly nitpicks; I would suggest picking one of these up today!

"Great collectors piece and fun plinking gun. My only problem was that when charging the gun, a bb rolled back into the internal of the gun rather than into the chamber and got stuck under the loading gate. Didn’t know it was in there until after so I took one or two shots and it messed up my loading gate spring and some internals. Maybe a part was missing that allowed the bb to roll back but now the gun is completely useless and is very hard to fix by yourself due to its design. Is an overall great gun but it was disappointing to see how easily it broke on the first day.

"When I got the gun it was fine, shot straight and held gas just fine. I unloaded all the gas and bbs and left it sitting for about a week before I decided to go plinking in the backyard again due to not having a field near me. When trying to fill it up with gas it started to leak like crazy out of the fill nozzle. I’m not sure if it was something I did or if it was just bad QC, but it’s unusable until I find a replacement fill nozzle. It would have been perfect if not for that one defect

"WARNING: I did not get an opportunity to field test this fire arm.

I bought this rifle thinking it'd make a fancy little addition to my range kit. A simple lever action, iron sighted gas rifle? Perfect for a stylish solution to short-medium range engagement. Sadly, I managed to break this rifle within about one month of owning it.

Out of the box, the action is quite nice! A bit clunky sure but it's hard to expect much else from a historic recreation in airsoft gun form. Well, on a whim I decided to start a project of de-clunking this rifle. To clarify, when reloading this rifle it is quite common to clip your palm or fingers. Not only that but the reload action itself has some genuine clunk to it. The firearm was stiff, and when I envision a winchester in a fight I believe it to be a weapon that is relatively easy to reload and fire (I blame western movies but that's beside the point.

I began to take the rifle apart without a reference as the internet is severely lacking in documentation for this M1892. Sadly upon removing the reload hammer, the ENTIRETY of the internal loading mechanism quite literally fell out of the rifle. From trigger to hammer to the tiny ball within completely fell out of the internals.

I tell y'all I completely freaked out. I spent a good month trying to locate videos and schematics. ANY references to this rifle. I managed to find one video of a person trying to disassemble and repair this rifle and it was sadly not helpful.

This rifle is very fun, but clunky. The metal is fantastic quality, and the real wood version I had was genuinely good looking. But performance wise, this gun would be pretty rough to use in a fight. The gas system is a bit annoying to fill back up and get to in the first place.

Pros:
Cool looking
Quality decor/physical parts
Shots were accurate
You can absolutely do the fancy reload

Cons:
Slow to reload the gas
Difficult to troubleshoot and fix
Internal chamber had issues holding gas.
Clunky internals, with a small risk of very light but annoying injury

I'd also like to state that this is a mechanical gun by nature. I knew this going in as I read the other reviews. Mechanical guns like this are going to be confusing to fix just by nature.

"Fun to use but not as a primary. It will sometimes leak gas and the front sight was loose and wobbley glued it doen amd works fine now. Very nice looking and shoots well with the sight staying im the right spot
by Seth H. on 12/04/2017
"The action on this gun is pretty realistic as far as toy guns go but the build quality left me constantly fretting that i would break something. I would not recommend this for field use as a single drop could be disaster and since it only has one very sketchy sling loop theres really no way to carry it securely.

if you want a gun to shoot cans on the back porch and want something a bit more fun than a red rider this will certainly do the trick. shooting and cycling the gun is fun to do and even reloading is satisfying in its own way but i simply do not trust this gun to hold up to any sort of punishment.
