~very high quality footage
~there is a mount for EVERYTHING
~long battery life (lasts for ~2.35 hours of nonstop filming and lasts me a 8 hour day with power left over so long as I turn it off as soon as I'm done filming a game)
~easy to put footage and pis on your computer
~VERY easy to operate
~gun fire does not muffle other sounds like so many other cameras do
~price (this camera outside of the case easily blows $500-$900+ cameras out of the water)
~The case distorts sound, but just a little, you can still understand everything said and identify every noise produced
I can't say enough good things about this camera, and the price may seem steep, but this camera is good as a stand alone camera for photos and videos, not just a mount camera. There aren't very many differences between this one and the Hero1, I bought this one because it is the only one that any store around me had last christmas... I got the last on one in a 20 mile radius 2 days before the holiday.
If you are deciding between this camera and the Contour, keep a couple of things in mind:
1. if you want the best video quality out of any device and a device you can use for absolutely anything go with this
2. if you are fixated on something that you can mount without having it stick out a little go with the contour...
