Angel Custom PSS2 Mega-Up APS / Type96 Power Up Spring - SP170 (480~550 FPS)

"For $12.75 this spring is great . I have put about 1000 shots through it, and it is starting to break in. The spring still looks brand new and still has kept its shape. This spring gives my rifle (a utg l96) a more springy sound when it shoots and is a little louder from the extra power. I do not have a chrono machine, but ever since it broke in I would say it is shooting at 490-510 fps. Also, when you get the spring, it is a little hard to pull back but gets easier over time.

"I have this spring for my utg l96 but it's the laylax version. This spring has done me wonders. I have this spring with a polar star piston with an angel custom piston head, 170 spring, a hopup that I bought forgot the name but it's a great hop up, a zero trigger and an edgi 6.01 inner with barrel spacers. I can hit a man sized target at about 250-300ft away consistently. If you buy this spring you might want to use .36-.40 bbs

"This spring is pretty good. I couldn't seem to find an M170 spring for an L96 anywhere else that is from a U.S. retailer. In the description, it said that this spring is irregular pitched, but when I got it, it didn't look like an irregular pitch spring. After the spring broke in, I chrono'd my gun with a real chrono about 3 months after getting the spring. It chrono'd in at 450 fps max which confused me because I have the following upgrades in my L96:

madbull 6.03 Tightbore barrel
Laylax Piston and piston head
madbull red shark hop up bucking
metal spring guide
Angel custom m170 spring

With all these upgrades and an SP170 spring, I should have gotten at least 520 fps with 0.2g bbs. I finally came to two conclusions. 1)The spring wore out because it isn't irregular pitch 2)The madbull shark hop up bucking is leaking air)

Overall, this spring is pretty good. I would recommend this spring to anyone who wants an SP170 spring for their L96 that doesn't want to pay $25 for over-seas shipping.

"This spring requires a 9mm spring guide structure. It DIDN'T FIT my type 96 gun.


Very nicely ended spring tough. Not variable pitch as stated before.

"I purchased this spring for my L96 and within 3 months it wore out. My rifle is fully upgraded in every way, and my compression is amazing. Every weekend that I went out airsofting my fps would drop by 40-50. I NEVER left the bolt cocked back for extended periods of time. Buy a laylax 170, their worth it! Make sure you have a upgraded piston, trigger unit and spring guide though at least. Hope this helped!
