"Had three of these, one of each variant, over the course of 9 years. My original one has the Magpul trades still and is the only one I still own. It's a decent mid-tier gun if you take the time to work on it. Mostly everything in the gearbox is v2 stuff. The nozzle is 35mm in length out of the box. The cylinder head is slightly different than a standard cylinder head, and I've had some trouble with different cylinder heads fitting in the stock gearbox shell. As I mentioned the nozzle is 35mm in length making replacements a bit difficult to track down but they do exist. Wii-Tech makes one as does Begadi, you'll have to track them down though as Evike is sold out and ACRs are rare so I don't see them coming back in stock. The build quality isn't as solid We-Tech's(yes different company from Wii-Tech). However, the Quick-change barrel system does actually function on the A&K ACR as it's supposed to. Good luck finding barrel assemblies though. Official parts support is very limited. Another perk this gun has over the We-Tech ACR is that is does have a QCS system. The gun is smaller and lighter too compared to We-Tech's version.

The primary downside to this gun is the hop-up unit, it's crap. However, there are aftermarket alternatives. A rotary hop option does exist now and is kinda a must if you want to push this thing to its limits. It does require a different nozzle, but if you can find the hop unit the nozzle will be there too, rule 7 for reviews makes it kinda hard to give good feedback as I can't direct the reader to where the aftermarket support is since Evike doesn't offer it and probably isn't interested in providing it.

"The gun shoots really well and is built as a solid construction, I only have two problems with the gun. 1 is that the charging handle assembly gets stuck while in the upper receiver. 2 is that after opening up the upper receiver only three times the wire cover started to rip and the fuse keeps getting disconnected while connecting the battery

"The pin for the handguard doesn't seem to fit in the hole meant for it in the actual gun itself. I noticed in the pictures the pin isn't there but clearly the handguard isn't stable without it. Aside from that issue it's great looking and fun to use but I'm not sure what to do about the pin.

"Take note this gun is not full sized it’s more like a mini version of the ACR

"An honest review from a moderate player…
After doing some research and wanting an upgrade to a new primary, I decided that an ACR would be my best choice. I didn’t want anything tacticool on a rifle, just something to get the job done. I picked the DMR variant and these are my thoughts on it.
Out of the box you get your standard stuff, the gun, mag, a cleaning rod (thank you), a don’t be stupid instruction manual and something else that I’m forgetting.
Price
This product is $400+ (which for me at least, someone who off and on plays airsoft) this is kinda steep. There are more affordable options, which perform better or even the same as this weapon. A bigger price tag doesn’t always mean that it’s amazing, and you can find options that are half the price of this gun and will perform better, but it’s all up to your preference, so please do your research.
The gun
This is a loooooooooooooong Boi, so make sure you can handle this bois length. The weight is good since most of it is sturdy plastic. The battery (MAKE SURE YOU GET THE SPECIFIC ONE, OTHERWISE IT WILL NOT WORK) is the most painful thing about this gun. It is under the barrel and is a pain to insert and a hassle to take out. You can’t customize this gun much more then an optic on top, grips and other attachments are best suited for an AR with more rails. The “charging handle” and spring inside are very weak. If you want that realistic sound, you won’t get it here as when I let go of the handle I feel that I have to manually push it forward because it is so weak. The mag pull is very crappy and does not feel like it keeps the mag in there, put it does, so explore some upgrade options.
Performance
It’s good. Solid and reliable from MID TO FAR RANGES (DO NOT TAKE THIS INTO CQC OR A PACKED INDOOR FEILD). You can easily adjust your hop up in a fight and I did rig up a sling to mine, it can be a bit awkward to carry on a sling because of how long it is.

TLDR
It’s good, but expensive

"Very good gun. Very accurate. The orange flash hider will break easily, but mock suppressors look very cool on this gun anyways. The stock will not stay locked when collapsed (not folded) if you have a sling on it, but I like having the stock all the way out anyways. The only major issue with this gun is the battery. The battery goes between the handguard and outer barrel, and since the handguard doesn't have picatinny on it, you have to mount some using m lok specifically made for this hand guard otherwise traditional m lok is too big to fit, but either one will still shred your battery pack because there isn't enough space in there. Overall it is an extremely good gun if you're willing to overlook some of it's flaws.

"This was my first airsoft gun last year....... besides having the fuse disconnect on me once and losing a upper and lower reciever pin while playing.... its a good gun.

"Fantastic DMR. A great weapon out of the box. I've put this weapon through a ton of matches in the span of 9 months and so far, its performance has been exceptional. It has a good weight and its polymer body is very durable (dropped mine a few times), just be mindful of the excess protruding outer barrel which is less protected. Its a bit bulky but handles well. Its also ambidextrous-friendly with selector switches on both sides. Hop up can be accessed by pulling back charging handle on the right side.

Mine came with the Magpul compatibility slots so I cant say if its an issue with other people not receiving theirs with it in the mail. It uses NIMH batteries which are wired to the front of the gun. The front rail slides off by removing a pin next to the magazine well, thats where you insert your battery. Try to use 9.6v NIMH or better if you can, you'll get the best performance out of it. The rate of fire is on the slower side when using full auto. I usually stick with semi so this doesn't generally bother me.

The only problems I've experienced with this gun are the occasional misfeeds. Also, sometimes the battery has a tendency to slightly unplug itself. This can be annoying, especially in the middle of a match. Iv'e solved this by wrapping a piece of electrical tape around the battery's and gun's connector. This could be a defect with mine specifically but just something to be aware of if you buy it.

Overall, great weapon if your looking to put decent range downfield and kick ass for a good price.

"I've had this gun for a few days now, really nice action, pretty accurate, no feeding problems, but while I was shooting it with the new battery, it started making a high pitched sliding sound like the gears weren't meeting, I tightened up the screw on the grip and it works fine now.

"It's a great gun for the price. It has external priblems like very cheap metal used for certain pins, causing them to strip immediately, and the pin that holds the for end in slips out easliy. However the internels work great. Recommend a tightbore barrel to get the range up even more, and once that is done, use some electrical tape to leep the barrel assembly from moving around in the for end. This will help keep the accuracy in check, especially when sighting in an optic. Overall great purchae, I'm ver happy.

"I got this gun about a week ago and i have to say it looks and feels amazing. The only problem i have with this gun is the clear part where the conductors or whatever to the battery come apart and i have not figured out how to fix that. That is the only problem with my gun, other than it shooting only once occasionally everything else is fine, all in all a great gun i just need to fix that but i do not know how.

"I bought got this gun secondhand from someone who got it from the box of awesomeness here on Evike and out of the box this gun is terribly inconsistent. But I know how to tech a little bit and with some elbow grease I got it shooting accurately at 150 feet or 50 yards. Further than that, even with an R-hop accuracy goes out the window.

The stock hop up and barrel assembly was misaligned. The one that came from the factory veered a little bit to the left. First thing I did was swap out the barrel with a ZCI 6.02 and added an R hop. Next thing was that even if you line up the patch or the barrel hole (in case of regular hop) in the center, the way you put it in makes it shoot to the left. I had to align the hop up assembly slightly to the right to counteract this and now it is shooting straight.

Other than that the gun is fine. It shoots around 380 FPS stock. The quick change barrel system is very easy to operate. Theres only 1 bolt holding it together and 2 tiny bolts in the hop up assembly and bam, you've got a new barrel in .

The Hop up unit is a 2 piece, both made of clear plastic. So far it hasn't given me any issues, I actually like it because you can see if you're having any feeding issues with your mags since its clear and all you have to do is pull back the charging handle to see if the BBs are going in correctly. Makes it easier than having a metallic hop unit.

This is a solid beginner gun. For $220 I wish it had an electronic trigger unit, but that's my only gripe now that the Ares Amoeba has blown every other beginner gun out of the market.

"Got this in a BOA a while ago and I love this gun! Never had it chronoed but it shoots straight and hard. Very solid feel to the receiver. The mag that comes with it is a little flimsy and doesn't stay- I had to adjust the mag release spring in the mag well. Metal Valken m4 hi caps work ok. The wiring is a bit of a pain during disassembly. Recently it broke- a small spring and rubber stopper popped out of the selector switch. The gears inside became desynchronized (It's ambidextrous) one side was on semi and the other on safe. It wouldn't fire. Waiting on the replacement part so I can fix up this awesome gun!
