"this looks a sound gun. very good looking and seems to work well in addition. hope the ergonomics of it is as good as it looks, i particularly like the removable cheek rest attachment. anyone know what is the recommended bb weight for firing?

Webmaster: Nothing lower than .25 should be used. I would suggest .28 or .30 for certain situations.

"The gun feels great! It shoots really hard, feels nice and heavy and works great for the price. There are issues, the included magazine was COMPLETELY warped and hardly fit the gun. I will certainly need to buy a couple new ones. There were a few strange inconsistencies, like the fake gas tube being slightly bent, but overall it's a solid gun. Some tinkering may be necessary.

"I bought this just the other day and love this gun. Very accurate and fun to use. The only issue I have though is the magazine they sent with it is garbage, it simply doesn't feed. If it wasn't for the magazine I would put at 5 stars.

"Overall, this is a great gun for the price. However, I recieved a 200 round high-cap magazine with mine instead of a 60 round mid-cap. The hop-up unit that the gun comes with is quite cheap and doesn't work extremely well, and I haven't found any suitable replacements yet. Also, the tiny piece inside of the trigger assembly that allows the safety to function was broken when I pulled the gun out of the box. Other than that, I highly recommend this gun for anyone on a tight budget or who really likes the look and feel of the Dragunov. It is very solid and quite heavy, so if you're young or have tube arms, you might want to go with something a bit lighter and/or smaller. The gun is quite accurate and very consistent, and with the high-cap you hardly ever have to reload. Though if you're not used to the AK style mag release, you'll likely drop the mag a few times on accident. The spring is very easy to pull back as compared to other bolt action snipers, and allows for a very high rate of fire. In the right hands, some people will think its a semi-auto if they're on the recieving end. I will probably grab a scope for mine very soon as well as some other upgrade parts so that it is on par with even high-end sniper rifles.

Pros:
-Looks and feels wonderful
-Will make almost everyone else on the field jealous and asking to use it (could be a con I guess)
-Accurate and consistent
-Good FPS (do not shoot anyone point blank)
-Easy to pull bolt back
-High ROF compared to other bolt action rifles
-Ready to shoot out of the box
-Easily worth $130 (though I got mine for $110)
-Can be upgraded with normal aeg springs

Cons:
-Quite heavy (could be a pro)
-Wrong magazine listed (maybe just me?)
-Mine came with broken safety pin thing (also probably just me)
-Not a very good hop-up unit

"Simply put, it isn't a bad beginner sniper rifle. Completely stock, it shot straight and flawlessly for me. I don't have the PSO-1 scope, but I bought the mount for it and added my own Nikon scope. It is easy to dismantle and clean and there are also a lot of upgrades out there for it. I also use .40 gram BBs in it, that way it knocks the fps down a tad. Added a 6.01mm inner barrel, for more accuracy. Now it shoots like a dream.

I see that a lot of people think the bolt is hard to pull back, but really, after you clean and lube everything, wasn't as hard. But it isn't like your typical bolt-action rifle, so I can see how people think it's a "Con" for the gun, but I personally like the power and accuracy it has and the strength it needs to weild an older designed gun. The bolt fits the style of the gun. Keep in mind, I'm a left-handed shooter and I use my right arm to pull the bolt.

PROS:
Solid structure
Comfy to hold
Easy to break down
Good fps

CONS:
Sling points are right-handed only(but I modified for left)

"This is a awesome rifle.
This rifle shoots very good for only being $100 and has a fairly decent fps
The cheek pad isn't the best and ended up being crooked on mine
There is one major problem I had though,
One of the rods that help a part in the trigger group fell out during a skirmish, resulting in the gun to stop firing. This ultimately meant that I had to leave the match and find some way of fixing it. But, after a little lock tite, it worked perfectly

So if your looking for a good priced sniper and you know how to fix things, this is the one for you

"Out of the box, shoots well. Good rifle.

Only bad thing, is when I finally had time to take some time to inspect everything, the secong spring that I recieved was rusted and brittle.
I also have a question, has anyone else had this problem and what or where could I find a replacement?

"Hi everyone!!!

I would like to say that this gun is a great bargain for 95 dollars but of course with tax depending on your state. This gun shoots almost up to 500fps!!! For this particular model, the faux wood is pretty sturdy and i don't fore see it breaking in the future. The rest of the gun is made out of high quality aluminum, i think, and the clip is made out of steel. I would suggets using .36g bbs or higher but it all depends on where you are playing because i have found .25g or .30g bbs quite satisfying!!! Here are the pros and cons:

Pros:
Strong material
adjustable sights
small orange tip ( idk if thats a pro)
realistic

Cons:
bolt is hard to pull back ( the gun comes with two springs. this weaker spring is installed but you can quickly install the stronger one)
front sight is alittle off centered ( this is just mine though, so don't worry about that)

"Honestly, I'm glad I made this my first order on Evike. But there are a few thing that I wish were a bit better.

Pros:
Accurate once the hop-up is set
Decent speed
Spring powered
Decent weight

Cons:
Feeding issues with the mag
Heavy bolt (but that's due to the spring so i don't extremely mind)

But yes. Amazing gun overall. I highly recommend this gun to any beginning sniper.

"I just got this SVD today, i think its awesome. I got in the package the A&K UkArms SVD Dragunov Sniper Rifle, speed re loader, low cap magazine, sling, safety glasses, and the tools that go with the weapon. The whole rifle is metal escept for the "wooden" parts. The magazine too, is metal. Overall I think its awesome and its a good sniper rifle for anyone. Enjoy your new SVD!

"Ok, before I get into the review, I want to say this is gun is very good.. for the money. for $145 it is worth it, but definitely not scrimmage ready.

When I pulled the SVD out of the box, I have to say, I was impressed. The metal work was pretty nice, but it was very soft (as in I dropped the removable cover and the corner bent, but I just bent it back into place.) The outer barrel had moderate movement, but wasn't that bad. The hand guard also had a bit of movement, but electrical tape fixed that. The stock had absolutely no wobble at all which was relieving.

In terms of performance, it was ok. AT first the spring was extremely hard to pull back, but afet spraying some silicon lube on the cylinder, it was very easy. It was so easy I recommend upgrading to an M170. In terms of accuracy, I am not impressed. Even with .3's (for that spring it is the right BB in my eyes) I had a good amount of flyers. I installed a 6.01 650mm barrel and a new bucking and it the change was RIDICULOUS. With the m170 spring, at 200 feet a body sized target was no problem and a head size target was very doable, even at that range.

So to sum up, the gun is pretty good, but with some good upgrades, it is really good. And to make it really good it will only cost about $220 including the gun.

"For one, this gun looks just awsome. I bought the PSO-1 scope which is about $149.00(i laughed because the is about the price of the gun but it is the real thing). It was a nightmare for my dad and I to attach the scope to this gun(The scope that i bought does no need a mount but is very hard to put on the gun).

PROS:
looks awsome!
cheek rest is comfortable
mostly metal and VERY strong polymer
Some say the mag wobble is bad, but my mag does not wobble at all

CONS:
Its very hard to pull the bolt back(should buy some gloves)
The mag i got is not the mag it said it came with, it does not have a hatch that opens for me to load the BB's
When you take the make out, about three BB's fall out on the ground
